[Q] Sd card issue (CM 10)

Hello folks,
Recently I have flashed CM 10 via CWM 6.0.3.2 on my Samsung Galaxy W. (I followed this procedure: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1990795)
Everything worked out fine (yay) exept for two issues I have:
1. My SGW doesn't recognize my Sd card (internal) at all. (though internal is mounted in cwm menu)
I have several folders regarding my sd and external sd:
- sdcard> tells me it is "unplugged" (in German> translation might differ) when I enter via file manager
- mnt/sdcard> here it tells me my sd card is unplugged as always
- storage/sdcard0> unplugged
- external_sd> it tells me sd card unplugged if I enter
- mnt/external_sd >here I can enter all of my folders
- storage/sdcard1> here I can enter again
2. My SGW can't mount my external sd anymore. I can clearly enter my external sd's files, but apparently I cannot mount my PC. Especially not with Multimount because it requests me to mount my internal sd (issue 1).
So how do I get it to work properly? - is it possible to do it via Terminal Emulator?
Specifications:
- Samsung Galaxy W
- Android Version 4.1.2.
- Kernel Version: 3.0.80-cyanogenmod-gc689589
[email protected] #1
- Cyanogenmod Version: 10-20130605- UNOFFICIAL-ancora
Thanks a lot in advance
Hi, I have similar issues with internal storage after flashing to 4.2.2 and also 4.1.2. Model is galaxy W previously 2.3.6 stock.
At root, i have
/data, which seems to be my internal storage as the FX file explorer show it has a storage of 1.07gb
/external_sd, which contains my files in micro sd card
/sdcard, which ES say SDCard unmounted
/storage, which contains sdcard0 (SDCard unmounted), sdcard1 (micro sd), usbdisk (SDCard unmounted)
In the andriod settings > storage, I can see internal storage with total space 1.07gb, but unable to mount it.
My camera and gallery says "No external storage available".
What should I do? Please help

This can be done for the SDcard you can unplug and plug directly to an other device like an PC, but not with the internal.
So better try the following. Secure your files if you can. Reboot into recovery and format there both. Rebooot into CM10 or whatever ROM you are using and change your USB operation mode from MTP to Mass Storage.

If The Internal Is The Problem Then You Must Back To The Main Software 2.x.x
Then Back To The Edited Mods And Rom's
The Internal Storage Will Work

You probably mean back to stock Samsung ROM. But how will this fix corrupted partitions? And why "must" if there are probably more simple ways to fix it rather than flashing roms forth and back?
First of all he should format both and switch to Mass Storage mode to see if this fixes his issue. Flashing ROMs still can be tryied as a last resort.

Yeah I Mean (back to stock Samsung ROM) And That This Makes The Phone Due To His Condition Also Came From Its Supplier ..
And That's Fix All Internal Storage Problem's .... By Format The Internal Storage With Force From stock Samsung ROM ...
And I Think He Can't access The Internal Storage To Format It By Him Self ...
I Have Tried That Problem Whin I Have Got My Mobile New .. I Haven't Found Solve For It , So I Have Back To The stock Samsung ROM
..
And Found Every Thing Work Fine Then I Have Back To CM Mod Again... :victory:
If You Have Another Simple Way For That Problem Tell Him ,Please ...

I think you are mixing something up. First of all he didn´t say he can´t mount / access it from CWM Recovery but from a running ROM. This is two different things so it still should be possible to access both in CWM Recovery and to do a format.
Secound. Flashing a ROM will not format the internal Storage but only the partition where the ROM will be flashed to. They are not the same, so this is also two different things. So even if you flash a ROM but are having corrupted SDcards (Internal and external) they will stay corrupted till you fix this.
And this is why I suggested to first boot into RECOVERY, format both and finally after rebooting change to Mass Storage as the MTP Mode is not always working very well. If this doesn´t help he still can flash back to stock ROM.
However now I´m just repeating what I already said before. If you can´t get it, then I´m sorry for you.

Hox Factory Reset - Internal storage question, Please help regarding it .

My hox is on complete stock and never rooted .
I just noticed a slight difference in the 3 ways of factory reset of hox .
I just for some reason wanted to do a factory reset ... so first I did it the normal in setting option "back up and reset" way , and tick marked the option to erase internal storage too . Then I got 24.24 storage left when I completed the setup and 1gb of internal being used in "others" by default .
Then I reset it the recovery way and still the same , I got 24.24 storage left when I completed the setup and 1gb of internal being used in "others" by default .
But when I just went in the bootloader and there is also the option of "factory reset" , when I did that and complete the setup and all , I saw that "others section of internal memory" that 1gb got free and I got completely full 25.24 with maybe just few mb used due to updates, etc .
Note : lol I just after this did the "erase phone storage" , and storage got back to 24.24 available and "other" folder came up with 1 gb used , but why ?
Everything seems to be fine with sys apps, etc but still I just need to know as that 1gb is gone from "others" in internal storage, has something important system related gone or what was in it please ?!
Would highly appreciate the correct/accurate help!
I'd noticed this myself, presumed it was an HTC formatting issue with the 'other' being reserved for media/system files. Works fine either way anyway.
Still missing the Xperia Arc, Shantu?

You did everything right. It takes about 1 minute to boot the first time.
If your phone doesn't boot after that, are you sure you were on 4.2.2 firmware before you rooted your phone?
You can try flashing the 4.2.2 firmware through Odin, then root again.
The error message while you are wiping dalvik cache is normal, it's not an error it's just a partition that is missing from newer firmwares.
Ok, but i don't have tar file for 4.2.2 firmware samsung grand duos, I can not find.

The solution is delete unnecessary files and try to move games data to external sd (if you have games)
But i don't have games in my phone, i have te necessary apps, sms and mms, the memory is full. In my samsung gio the Link2sd work very good for android 4.2.1, but in the samsung grand duos android 4.2.2 any aplication work fine for this problem.

Only 86.4MB visible when connection S8500

Hi,
I'm currently trying to use my Samsung Wave S8500 again, and want to get Android on it. I've done it before but I'm a bit rusty on working with it.
Most things I will be able to figure out and find online.
However there's one problem I'm stuck with. Whenever I connect the phone to the computer I can only see 1 partition of 86.4MB.
Google and the XDA can't help me (At least not with the terms I tried using)
I don't recall what exactly I did with the phone the last time, now I flashed a new Bootloader and Fota from this android version.
When I place the corresponding zlimage file on the 86.4mb partition I can boot into the CWM Recovery mode.
Bada also works like regular. However after using some of the functions in the recovery mode (I didn't really know what I did, and I believe it wasn't too smart) the Memory status is:
Total / Available
System Memory: 564 MB ./ 162 MB
Application Memory 129 MB / 3.00 KB
Internal User Memory 85.2 MB / 38.9 MB
Before using some recovery functions these numbers were different (mainly higher)
Can anyone help me with my problems? I want to get any android version on the phone asap. I have a broken SD card so I hope I can do it without any SD card. (Buying a new SD card is not really an option as my next phone won't have a slot)
Kind regards,
Advena
1. reflash bada (FULL)
2. run bada > factort reset
3. copy zImage/boot.img to sd card
4. install android
Can't believe it was that simple.
I started reflashing just before I saw your post just to at least have the newest version.
And yes it instantly booted with the full 390MB

Storage problem : Internal storage detect as external SD.

I used oppo find 7 and used TWRP custom recovery. I have these problem after I flashed to lineage 14.1. My storage split into 3 partitions which is 1. Internal Shared storage(ISS) 2. Sdcard0 and 3. Sdcard1. The problem is when I install apps from play store and will saved in Internal shared storage but the system in ISS almost full.
For your information, after I flashed to lineage the system that used are nearly 22 gig. Is it normal? I already wiped all in recovery mode. So why is this happening. It will cause me a problem when i want to downloas a lot of app but because of insufficient storage I cannot do that. Below is the screenshot prove. I hope someone will solve this problem.
