Hi Everyone,
I just got a RMA back for a new display since the last one had a defect with a row of dead pixels. A few days after I just got a stuck pixel (color green). Any Suggestions? Thanks.

Hey I have a stuck pixel on my Nexus 7, but color red. It is only visible in dark backgrounds. Anyways, I am just asking you how as the RMA process, I am in a similar situation as you and I am wondering if there are any other solutions.

It was fast, it took two weeks to get it and where I live, it seemed it was shipped to Texas and repaired and send with FedEX Ground to my home. I'm right now using Fix dead pixels app and see if it has a effect. Anyways, sorry about your nexus.
Anyone...
Look on google play store for "stuck pixel remover"...it can take a while running it to work.

I have recently noticed a blue stuck pixel on the dead center of my Note 2. The next minute i ran a stuck pixel app from the play store and have read that keeping it on low brightness works better will it flashes. Its still running btw.
Anyone know roughly how long i would need to keep it running? If this fails, what else may i try?
And how do I know if my phone is still under warranty? I had preordered it and it arrived on November 9th. Does that make me eligible for a replacement? If so, can you please include steps to do this? (Who to contact...)
Thank you!

I have the same problem. I had a red pixel stuck and tried a stuck pixel app running for about 3 hours and it didn't work. I went to the closest Samsung store and they told me they have a zero stuck pixel policy. I have had mine for just 2 months and they took it in for repair, no questions asked. They even offered me a replacement phone to use while mine was in repair for a $200 deposit. Hopefully they will have it fixed soon because using any other phone after the Note 2 sucks!!

Thats good to hear! How long has it been since you sent the phone for repair?
I suppose they do not all support that ideology 100% of the time

I see small streaks of dead pixels all over my screen. I never noticed it before but now I really do. Tablet is less than a week old.
So my question is...how do I return it to complete stock so I can exchange it? I've rooted it.
Anyone? Thanks.
It's usual at least in the first batch D06/D07, mine is D07 and has a dead pixel in the bottom.
Try checking out this thread, it has all realated display issues.

Hello, I recently found a small dead pixel after using the device lightly for a few days. I've tried to fix it with apps, cleanning caches, reformatting, and even installing roms, but the dead pixel is everywhere solid, even on bootloader screen.
The problem is that I need to send it as a gift next week, and the warranty would probably take 2 weeks or more, so is it worth it?
It's tiny, but it's there, and I don't know if one dead pixel, means more over time...
Please advise
None of those things will fix a bad pixel.
No you won't get more. And sometimes they 'fix' themselves with more use. You can use an app to flash the screen through different colors to 'exercise' it.
Is it an out and out dead pixel or a stuck (on one color) pixel? If you are not sure use a pixel tester from the store. Bad pixels are like light scratches, after a while you don't notice them. But for a gift I'd be disappointed as well.
If it's new can't you do a straight exchange?

I think it's not worth it.
Pices of replacement screens are teribly high.

Hey! Good news, you were right man. I was just about to send it, but decided to use it more and more heavily, and those "flashing colors" apps as well (don't know how much that helped), and eventually, it got smaller, and smaller to the point where I can barely see it so tiny.
It was tiny before, but now it's almost invisible. It started out as a stuck green pixel, and it was everywhere in the same place. Even in the bootloader, Recovery, and after various rom reflashes.
Thanks for the tips!
Hey guys, so the other day I noticed a TINY flashing(what I think is a) pixel. It's only visible when I'm on for example the reddit app with the dark theme. It flashes in the middle left side when scrolling up and down. Otherwise, in pixel tests, I can't see it.
What do I have here? Is it dead or on the way? Yes it shows in other apps too, but only in dark themes because it's a small white dot.
I have one that shows when the camera goes from preview back to camera mode. Doesn't show up in tests either. I'd like to know as well. Also, do you think a dead pixel is covered by the 6 month screen replacement?
Bumping for mor3 help..
Bumping again...
Too hard to tell from the explanation. Pictures would help

I haven't noticed this myself so there must be some sort of hardware issue. Isn't the M8 covered for screen problems for 6 months? I'd consider this a screen problem/defect and ask for a replacement if it bothered me.
How to do pixel test ? I am having the same problem as you. I start noticing it after installing venom rom (could be unrelated ofc). What rom do you have ?

I bought pixel xl second hand. Its unlocked u.s.a variant. When I got it it was on November 2017 stock 8.0. Navy bar was fine and I never turned screen brightness up. I was aware of the burn in issues before I bought device. So I got it home after a few days decided to flash latest stock image which was DEC 8.1. After a week or so I started to notice it. The dreaded burn in Nav bar. That I'm aware of the guy I bought it from paid cash from best buy and had no warrenty. Is their a fix or solution. Thanks I'm guessing their isent but if somebody had this issue and fixed plz kindly gimme some suggestions. Thanks
I've had this issue for quite some time, I had to RMA one Pixel XL for it, which Google replaced after me sending it over to Germany (UK here). I have just decided to live with it, and will be replacing the phone in October for 2018's iteration. Given that screen burn in was such a big issue with the Pixel XL 2 - I am hoping that Google learn from this, maybe even allow full immersive mode to users in settings.
Downside to an AMOLED just don't leave the display on for long periods of time and you'll avoid it if it gets really bad only option is to RMA

In my opinion that shouldn't happen, or Google should implement a feature to allow immersive mode by default.
Weird thing was when I bought it it was on 8.0 Nov release as soon as I unlocked bootloader and updated to 8.1 within 2 weeks it happened and the guy I got it from had phone for about 4 months with no issues.
Only solution Is changue the screen,i got image burn and i buy the screen un Ebay cost 80$ the oem and 95 y wrigs
