[Q] No Data on Sprint Note 2 after loading stock rom - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

I had my Note 2 from sprint flashed to boost mobile, blah, blah, blah hated not having 4g so I got a boost 4g phone and wanted to set the Note to to factory rom with reset to 0 hoping I could take to sprint or Kajeet and give to my son. Well I must have screwed the pooch...lol because after using TWRP and using the file to reset counter I get NO Data! Apn needs fix. I don't even get a signal, no 3g or 4g NADA! I'm just about ready to toss this thing through the window. Wifi works counter is reset official state and yet the signal bar is a 0 with a line through the middle of it.. Tried to hook up with Kajeet clean ESN etc., poor guy on the other end was baffled...PLEASE peeps, I am frustrated and the old lady craps her pants every time she see's me walk to the phone or sit on the computer for half the day! This thing came in the box and I LOVE the phone just don't want to use as a paper weight.. Can someone ANYONE help me here... I'd even be willing to take the phone to sprint and have it hooked up with them if I had to (last resort to expensive). I prefer Kajeet because they use the same service (Sprint) and have some great monthly no contract deals that would be perfect for my son (16 years of age)... THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE for any help you can offer...Peace..

[Q] 1 of 2 Evos no longer gets service around home and Sprint hasn't fixed issue

So this is my first thread. I did search for an answer, but couldn't find a similar issue/solution, so any help would be very much appreciated (even if it is to point me to a thread I missed). Here is my problem:
My wife and I both have Evos. We have had my wife's Evo for about 1 yr and it is and has always worked great. We got my Evo about 4 months ago and it worked fine.
On July 11, my Evo stopped being able to connect to either phone or network service (other than randomly about 5 mins every 2-3 hours) when I am at home. It still works everywhere else. My Evo showed 3-5 bars, but when I, for example, tried to make a call, the bars would drop to 0 and then go back up and I'd get a message that the phone couldn't connect.
I took the EVO into the local Sprint service center twice, left it for several hours so that they could run a full diagnostic, and was told it was fine. It does work fine other than about the 1 mile around my house. For instance, when I leave for work in the mornings, I cannot place a call or get network service at my house or as a start driving away. Once I get about 1 mile from the house, the 3G light comes on, I get phone service, and any backed up emails and or VMs show up. Again, my wife's is still working fine at our house.
I called Sprint and was told they were replacing two towers in our area. I waiting until August 4 when the tower replacement was officially complete - still no service on my Evo - wife's just fine this entire time.
Sprint customer service then told me it must be my phone and sent a replacement. Once I got the replacement, I called in on my wife's Evo from my kitchen table to activate the replacement. No luck - same problem as my "old" Evo. No network or phone service. After an hour of the technician trying to diagnose/fix the issue, they said it must be the phone and they would send me another replacement.
Before I mess with another hour on the phone with customer service trying to get the new replacement to work, I thought I'd check in to see if anyone here had any ideas. Bottom line - my phone had no problems connecting to the network until 7/11, it still works everywhere except my house and ~1mile radius around my house (middle of Dallas), and my wife's Evo has no issues at our house or anywhere.
HELP!!!! This is so frustrating.
Thanks in advance.
Call sprint customer pretensions and explain the issue. They will be able to take care of the issue with either a new evo 4g or get u another phone. Just so u are aware. It is sprints policy not to replace your phone with another model unless they no longer carry it (which would be a good thing. 3d baby) or the phone as been replaced three times.

Not really anymore ....but

You may have tried this already but I didn't see it mentioned in the OP...
Have you tried updating the PRL and the Profile?
probe
True, also wat firmware and radio? What kinda of phone does the wife have?
We live in Dallas - zip 75229. Wife has an Evo. All of the firmware, PRL, Profile, etc that can be updated have been. Wife's Evo shows same versions of everything.
Dallas has had alot of problems or upgrades to towers in and around some areas but u should be able to connect. Call in and tell them to change maid and nai with ur device powered down and battery out. Then hang up with care. Leave the battery out for one min then power the device up and then do a ##786# this will erase all info on the ( skip all auto updates. Then let it do its thang and she how she goes this is a good step to get it working or just get a airrave

They deflashed my flashed BoostMobile EVO4G

Ok so I know I did the ultimate no-no with a flashed phone. BoostMobile tech support tried to update my profile. I know I shouldn't have done this. I called both Sprint and BoostMobile tech support for help. My Sprint EVO 4G, flashed to Boost, was being blocked by my boyfriend's Sprint Airave. This is the 2nd EVO4G I have had flashed to boost. The first one (lost forever!) was flashed for over a year, we had the airave then too with no conflict issues. Lost phone. Bought new one (sprint) had it flashed. Now it tries to use the airave.
Differences:: New phone is rooted with Synergy RLS1. Old one was not rooted and had stock ROM on it.
New issues:: CONSTANT notifications about voice mail update. (never had that before). Attempting any kind of call results in error from Airave. I understand WHY! I just want to Stop the BOOST-SPRINT communication and make calls like I did before.
Anyway, I told them the AIRAVE problem, and told them I had custom ROM, ROOT and FLASHED phone they said "No Problem! We know what to do". they screwed the phone up and then accidentally dropped the call. So here I am after days of searching, reading, contemplating, still without phone service. Booting the phone results in loop of ATTEMPTING HANDS FREE ACTIVATION. and many times while on. Under settings, System Updates if I click on update profile it says.....Previous DM session is working now please try again later.
Will I have to go through the whole flash process again? Since I just did this 3-4 weeks ago there isn't much I need to save on the phone. I have all the versions and settings numbers from the phone but just didn't know which ones to post.
Frustrated, Aggravated and Completely out of touch with the world!!!
I would have never gotten to days. After a few hours of no success, I would have just started over

yes I do appreciate the advice. And in moving forward that is the best choice.
Also in moving forward I am hoping that some of the senior members might have comments as to why the almost identical phone was now being blocked by the sprint Airave and getting the constant Sprint notifications of updated voice mail. Surely there is a way to shield the phone from the airave. Other than calling Sprint (no results) or calling Boost ( wrong results) someone has to have figured out a way to stop this.
Any speculations, suggestions, or comments?
What kind of donor phone did you use to flash the Evo?

That I do not know. I have not been able to reach the person who flashed the phone. I will ask that when I reach them. btw I have the original boost phone that was associated with my account before I flashed the first time. That was the donor then, I think. And I was thinking that I should re-register that phone before I flash back again with this 2nd phone. Is that thinking a valid thought?

I found the type of phone. I logged in under my account and it says the current phone is Sanyo SCP-6760 Incognito. I can use the account to change the the phone back to my original handset that I used for years and was the handset I used to fllash to the first EVO I had.

Yeah, I was gonna say, anytime you need to know what donor phone was used to flash your phone..just log into your Boost account and click on "Update Handset" this will tell you exactly what phone is on your account aka used as your donor phone. It will almost always be either the Incognito or Rant. ((But anyone thinking of flashing a phone, should never have this problem because you should always have physical possession of the donor used on your account..there is not one single reason why the person flashing your phone would need to hold on to your donor. Period. So always make sure that you ask for , and receive the donor phone used to activate your Sprint phone)))
That being said...Unfortunately, your phone is going to need reflashed again, and you definitely did not need to activate the previous donor on to your Boost account. You just needed to contact the person who flashed your phone and (hopefully) he still has your donor phone and will be able to pull your passwords (profile info ) out of it again and write it to your Sprint phone. (Like you already seem to be aware of) when your profile was reset, that meant that it did not match what was on your flashed Sprint phone. You'll need to (first activate the donor that was on your account before you just switched it to your previous one) and then update the profile (on that donor) and then put it on your Evo and you'll be good as new...OR just reflash your phone all together with the donor that you just activated on the account.
As far as the Voicemail Update issue...I have noticed this being pushed constantly to the Sprint phones also(including my Evo LTE on Boost) , I honestly don't believe there is a way to stop it. It doesn't really bother me anymore it just sits in the notification tray all the time. I imagine that eventually Sprint will stop pushing it to their phones. If I do ever come up with a fix for it though I will be sure to try and look this thread up or pm you with it. Good luck with getting your Evo back online...and word to the wise..never call Boost for anything if you have a flashed phone on your account...First off they will trouble shoot it as if its the donor phone..Second, their standard protocol is to Update the profile, and/or Factory reset the phone, either of which will interrupt the service on your flashed Sprint phone.

[Q] Not data, calls, text, wtf?

Bought a Sprint Galaxy Nexus off a guy on Craigslist. Device seemed to be in pretty good shape. The guy straight up told me it was rooted and that he had installed a custom rom (turned out to be Liquid Smooth which was pretty sweet). Anyway, I was so happy to be back on a nexus device. After activating it with Sprint the trouble started. I get NO mobile connection in my house. No calls, no text, no 3G, no 4G. Wifi worked. I tried flashing three different radios--none helped. I am totally stumped. I called Sprint and told them about my crappy mobile service in my house (which by the way turned out to be EXACTLY as crappy in my office--oddly, on the bus to and from work I get data back, wtf??!!) and the girl was pretty cool. She said "lets put insurance on it and then take it to a Sprint store for repair/replacement." So, now I HAD to restore back to factory. Thanks to Shabby for posting the files to flash via ODIN. I am now factory, re-locked, like out of the box. Tomorrow I go to Sprint and cross my fingers. Given the description of my stiuation, does anyone here have any ideas what the hell could be going on with the device? Even after restoring it to factory settings I have the same problem. Could Sprint service be THAT bad? I mean I just came from an s3 with Sprint and I had great service in my house and in my office. Leads me to believe it was the phone. I just hope not all Nexus's will have the same problem.
thanks for letting me vent. Any ideas/input would be appreciated!
Must joyously and selfishly announce that thanks to shabby and his files to flash via Odin to return to stock, sprint is replacing my device for $0!
Thanks!

[Q] Cannot get data provisions on my old Evo 4G

I upgraded last June to the Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch, and 11 months later, after having it rooted, broken, replaced under Best Buy's Geek Squad Protection, only to have my new refurbished unit ruin a battery and refuse to stay connected to bluetooth, decided to sell it back to them with their buyback program they used to offer (got $280 for a phone I paid $100 for to begin with), and go back to my Evo 4G (I like Sense better than TouchWiz anyway).
The problem is that for whatever reason, my Evo, which worked fine at the time of my upgrade (aside from a cracked screen), will not actually activate. It's running CWM v4.0.1.4, with Android version 2.3.5. I replaced the screen on it, tried to activate it on Sprint's website with as much success as they can give me, however, the phone itself doesn't connect to any sort of satellite. The only way I have any form of connectivity with it is via WiFi. "No big deal, I'll just switch to my girlfriend's old Evo until I can figure out my phone's issue," I thought. Fast forward to getting hers activated, everything works just fine - calls, text, wifi, 3G, 4G, the whole nine yards. Hers is running the same CWM and the same Android as mine, but hers works.
I've tried flashing mine back to a stock ROM (I forget what is on it right now), I've tried updating the PRL a hundred times, but always get an error message about it not being able to complete. I've even tried letting it sit for 24 hours,as several sources on the internet have told me it can take up to 24 hours to provision completely.
The only thing I haven't tried is physically calling Sprint, because they're weird about rooted phones, from what I've found in my research. I've seen claims that Sprint won't do anything with rooted phones, or that they can't tell that they're rooted and still can't figure anything out.
Will Sprint be of any assistance if I call, or will it be wasting my time? I've seen so many people with similar issues which Sprint, for whatever reason, simply cannot figure out. Is there anything beyond calling Sprint I haven't tried yet?
What ROM are you on? Stock, AOSP, what?
If you're on a Sense ROM, just call Sprint & tell them what the problem is. They won't know the phone is rooted unless you tell them it is.

Does Flashing Stock Firmware Tar trip KNOX on the Note 4?

I'm having issues with my phone reverting to 3G after only being on LTE for a minute no matter how good of a signal of LTE I have. This just started today, and I have refreshed the profile, prl. I had the Sprint people remotely update my phone, and they also checked for issues in my area and there are none. I also factory reset/data wiped my phone and it didn't help either.
So before I call Samsung and tell them my issues for a replacement I wanted to try installing the Factory TAR via Odin to see if that might fix it since I guess factory reset may not really touch any corrupt modem/radio files really.
I know that on the Note 3 it didn't trip it, but I was wondering if someone has had the chance to do this yet on ours to see if it tripped it?
I might call Best Buy and tell them my problem and see if they will switch it out for me even though I am out of the 14 day return window. I really don't want to send it back to Samsung and wait a week or more for a new phone.

I don't see why it should you are not flashing a custom Rom just the original firmware stock. Your KNOX is in tact now your not rooted your good to go:good:
don't quote me, but I think Knox is tripped when change to a custom recovery, which is what is needed to install a custom rom.
Unless you're rooted, you should be fine. If you are, you've probably already tripped it.
flashing stock tar
Did that fix your LTE issues? Im having the same issue.

Nothing you can do will fix the LTE issue. Sprint says it is a Samsung issue with the phones radio firmware and Samsung says it is an issue with the their towers not connecting to the phone properly. I am on my second note 4 with the same issue after Sprint swapped with me. On second phone I went around with them for a week. Finally got to talk to an advanced tech supervisor and he said according to some log only he and others at his level has access to Samsung has said that some Note 4 phones had been flashed improperly. Note by flashing I mean the use of JTAG equipment not some OTA or USB thing we can do. So Sprint advised me to contact Samsung about sending the phone in to be reflashed.
So begins my third week playing phone tag and on hold for 30+ minutes at a time. Finally Samsung admits there maybe an issue with the phone since it happens all over the DFW metroplex. So they tell me to send it in. I ask what the turn around is since it is my only phone and I can't be without it for 2+ weeks. So the Samsung says "I see you are in the Dallas area, just a moment" puts me on hold for another ten minutes. Comes back saying I will email you a service ticket you can print out and then carry it to our service center in east Plano.
So I did that, had to leave the phone with them for 2.5 hours. Went back and they said there is nothing wrong with the phone and that it was reflashed per Samsungs support request. Tested on my way home and got 30's near the repair facility, then down to 10's and singles. About half way to Carrollton back in to the 30's, then back to the singles or lower near my apartment. Just a 1/4 mile north of my apartment I can get 50's.
So neither is willing to offer a solution or even a cause and we are stuck between them. Tomorrow I am going to the Samsung store in Frisco and asking if they can do a swap for an S5 or something. Something to prove that at least Samsung still believes the customer is always right and to keep the customer happy. I am not going to hold my breath though.
Basically one of them dropped the ball on the version of the note 4 and neither wants to take the blame or the backfire that will come from it once made public.
In my case it looks like I am stuck with 20 more payments on a defective phone unless the Samsung store is willing to do something.
