if you have warranty go to service center (cuz if you buy and replace your self you will lose warranty)
In both case it will not be FREE :/

How can you tell if your phone still has warrenty as I bought an Xperia Play off my friend not that long ago and now it has died. I've got the box with a few details with the IMEI.
Is there a sony application or will I have to ring them up?
Without a original receipt or bank/credit card statement to prove purchase, I don't think you have much chance.
Sony told me via email that they would no need the receipt or proof of purchase, as they will honour warranty via manufacture date of the phone. I assume this is done via serial number.
The week and the year are written on the battery. Warranty lasts for a year

My friend said that he bought the phone brand new in August so I guess my phone still has warranty. How do I contact Sony to get my phone repaired? Is there a UK phone number or something?
Hello
I sent my Nexus last week to a local repair centre. It's not a Samsung repair centre, just a general mobile phone repair centre. Today I got a letter, which announced me that some requested parts aren't available and I have to wait .
part 1
22GH59-11350A
Key FPCB-Sub PBA
part 2
SG-L2
L2
That is the information in the letter. Does somebody know what this part numbers mean? I hope they replace the right parts, so I would like to know what these parts are.
Life is hard without the Nexus It is not funny to go back to a older, smaller phone...
Try Google? What was wrong with your phone?
I had the charging bug. When I charged the phone fully and disconnected the cable, the phone thought that it is still charging. So the display was always on.
Why didn't you take it directly to Samsung?
It is the normal way, that you send the phone back to the dealer for warranty issues. My dealer has contracts with this local repair centre, so.. thats why I sent it to this one.

Hello Guys,
after I had issues with my HTC One X (screen flickering and distorted and some times not waking up and not turning on..)
I decided to send it to repair.
The problem is that the phone is not under Warranty. I got it from a friend who got it without warranty from Dubai.
Bottom line, the repair center called today and told me that the motherboard is at fault and needs to be changed..
and they don't know where to get it from and that probably it is very costly and that I should just throw it away !!!!
Any idea if I can send it abroad for repair ? or order online the motherboard ?
We do not have HTC repair center in Lebanon...(middle East).
Any help is welcomed.
Thanks a lot guys !
I think that's an expensive repair. Not meaning to be rude, but why the **** would you get it without warranty?

I was fooled.. and thought it was under warranty...
Any idea where I can get that motherboard ?
I am expecting it to be expensive... But I bought for 400Bucks... so I will pay 200 to get it fixed... better than throwing away 400 no ?
Thx
I dont think you can buy just the motherboards. I have never seen the motherboard for sale. I suppose you could buy a smashed one. Id get the phone back from the repair place. Sell it as broken then buy a new phone with warranty.

What does this mean without warranty and you thought it has warranty?
From what I gather, the phone should be still in the one year warranty period from htc. As its not a year out.
If you have a proof of purchase this should be enforceable.
If its not unlocked etc. Even then you might have a shot as they already said its a hw problem.

PM hamdir. He's in Lebanon and something of an HTC expert. He might be able to direct you.

For 5days now, my Experia Play has been displaying a white static screen. When i searched for this issue on google, I noticed that this is a common problem with the flex cable on the device.
Since my mobile is still covered under the warranty, I went to SIX service centers in Bengaluru, India for repairs. But all of them have refused to service this device, since they have a list of devices which will not be given support by Sony. I called up Sony Customer Support & they say that the model is obsolete now, hence they will not be supporting this device.
If anybody knows any service center in Bengaluru which will repair R800i on warranty, please let me know.
Let me get this straight your device is under warranty right? So why in the hell have they refused to fix it? Just because they say it's obsolete it doesn't mean they can't refuse to fix it because it's still under warranty... Anything with warranty should get fixed no matter what
If I was you I'd ring Sony repairs and demand them to fix it hence still been under warranty if they don't then get trading standards or whoever involved

Yes. It is still under warranty (1 year). It's been only 7 months since I bought the mobile.
Right now, I'm searching for any service center which will repair my device. I did call up Sony repairs, but they were not of much help. Will look into legal options if there is no progress.
Hey guys,
My mobile got drenched in water accidentally. I removed the battery, dried it. Mobile boots up, but the screen is so dim! there was no effect on increasing brightness and it flickers, is my warranty gone now? how to save my phone?

brother i think its an acident so it means you have void your warranty..
but there is a hope you can go to your nearest service centre and repair it as it will cost you half the amount compared to the 3rd party store.
because they give concession to their customers..

You cant claim warranty in this case as it is a case of accident,
the warranty is only covered when there is a software issue apart from any physical damage...
it means now, that when they will come to know that you have dropped it in water or water spilled accidentally on your device then your warranty is void and you will have to pay for any repair.
But before going to the service center make sure your device is notROOTED or else they will refuse to operate your device..
AS I SAID THEY WILL CHARGE YOU HALF THE AMOUNT COST OUTSIDE SERVICE CENTER SO MY ADVICE IS TO GO TO SERVICE CENTER AND GET IT REPAIRED
ALL THE BEST

I haven't given it for repair.I enquired and they say both screen and board got damaged and repairing would cost around 2000 bucks!
