I have an unlocked S2 and I'm wondering if its safe to go flashing roms? If I brick it then recover it will I still have an unlocked phone? Also if I recover user data is it still unlocked?

Unless you intend to flash custom Kernel, having a locked bootloader doesn't prevent you from flashing it with Flashtool unless you mean flashing CyanogenMod.

Hi guys, I've got a T-Mobile UK branded Xperia S. The bootloader unlock status is no and I'm wondering if I flash a world/unbranded whatever it's called official 4.1 ROM will that change the unlock status?
Thanks in advance
No, it will not change the unlocking status, but you might brick your phone.
So I just got this phone from a friend who didn't need it anymore. I've rooted via KingRoot and then SuperSu-Me to rid of that crap. Has anyone managed to get TWRP on this device? Don't need to worry about KNOX but would love to start cranking out ROMs for the Verizon variant. Anyone have any ideas?
There's not available recoveries for your variant, because you have a locked bootloader phone.
I've got an unlocked Verizon M8, and I don't know if flashing ROMs made for the Verizon version would kill my unlocked status? Which route would I go about to flashing ROMs and tweaking my phone without losing my unlocked status?
Thanks.

You won't lose unlocked status unless you relock the phone yourself.
hello, I have the sprint ls990 model, basically I was messing around and I soft bricked the device, now its stuck on the LG logo. i tried factory reset from boot into recovery which didnt help. Now I am trying to reflash but I am confused with which firmware to pick since I want to be able to have root access and sim unlock.
I was already rooted and sim unlocked on ls990zv6 kitkat firmware (not sure about bootloader) before the brick. So my question is now if I flash the same firmware or the new ZV8(lollipop) using lgflashtool , will this remove the root and sim unlock?
If it removes it, then what option I have? Because Ive read you have to downgrade to ZV4 to root and sim unlock, so if my bootloader is not unlocked, then I will brick the phone???? And if I remain on ZV6 or update to ZV8, And then if root, sim unlock is not possible, then Im stuck with that because I cant downgrade with locked bootloader????????
Please answer this for me. thanks
