So I just got this phone from a friend who didn't need it anymore. I've rooted via KingRoot and then SuperSu-Me to rid of that crap. Has anyone managed to get TWRP on this device? Don't need to worry about KNOX but would love to start cranking out ROMs for the Verizon variant. Anyone have any ideas?
There's not available recoveries for your variant, because you have a locked bootloader phone.

Just a question im hoping someone can help me with
I have an S4 mini, I-9197 with std firmware, 4.2.2
build is I9197XXUBML3 which has knox and locked bootloader
I would like to get root on this device to run a particular app, but according to CF website
"UNLOCK BOOTLOADERS If you have locked bootloaders, flashing one of these will probably brick your device"
So has anyone sucessfully got root on this model phone and software or is it not possible due to locked bootloader and potentially bricking it,
Im not concerned with KNOX warranty status as i dont use any apps that need it, just need root access.

Try Towelroot
https://towelroot.com/
download, install and that should do the magic.
have tried towelroot but phone just reboots therefore is unsucessful
I guess that that phone is completely locked from modification.
Is it possible for me to get cm12 on my note 4 without root on the sm-n910v retail version on lollipop. I am running 5.0.1 and it's so buggy and I have to use something else because my phone loses battery quick and etc.
No not without root and I believe unlocked bootloader but may be a work around for the bootloader I think I remember on the s4.
Once we get root, there is potential for a work around for the locked bootloader. It's called safestrap. That's how a few other Samsung phones with locked bootloaders, but root have custom roms.

Still wont be able to use Cyanogenmod with Safestrap (if it ever comes to the Note 4). You can only use touchwiz based roms with SafeStrap.
Googling and searching this website have yielded nothing useful so I figured I'd ask:
Has anyone yet been able to unlock the bootloader on the sm-t807a (the AT&T model of the 805)?
Thanks in advance. I'm just itching debloat this sucker and see what it can really do.
Not yet.
Okay; further query. Does the locked bootloader just mean I'll trip knox if I flash a custom ROM or otherwise acquire root or is it more insidious than that? Because I'll trade my warranty for root any day of the week. Is there absolutely nothing I can do? I can live with just root and not being able to use a custom ROM but I don't know how long I can run this thing without xposed before I lose my mind.
Locked bootloader means nothing will flash unless it stock and signed. There's chance of a brick and/ or end up with Knox tripped just for the he'll of of it.
Has anyone gained any ground on the T-807A as far as unlocking the bootloader. All I can get into is Odin Mode. Is there a fastboot mode? I have two tablets that are locked up and unbootable because of unapproved software. (TWRPn recovery on both occasions)

Just flash the stock firmware with odin.
I've rooted a few devices in the past, but I've never unlocked any phones with this T-Mobile Device Unlock app.
Could anyone tell me if rooting and tripping the Knox counter affects unlocking using the T-Mobile app? I don't think it would but I'd like to be sure I can still unlock my device in the future after rooting my device.
Has anyone rooted first and then unlocked their T-Mobile S6 Edge?
Thanks in advance

nah dude. I rooted the TMob S6 Edge I have here and even froze the unlock app via Titanium Backup. it does nothing. I purchased this phone for our store with the intention of unlocking it because it was financed only to find out its damn near impossible. Waiting on a software fix. Maybe a custom ROM or flashing AT&T's software if its released..
Does anyone know how to root the SM 837V tablet yet? And if so would you share on how to root?
The SM-T837V variant is bootloader locked so I wouldn't count on being able to root it.
