Question Root and Tweaks for AOSP A12 Custom roms? - OnePlus 9 Pro

Is it advisable? Coz i could see the CPU and GPU speed hits high even when they are idle.

Please,
May I suggest that you change the title of your topic to something shorter but more explicit than your question title?
Like : Root and Tweaks for a Nameless Custom Rom - AOSP
This will be more explicit than your question in the title.
Then ask your question here.
Thanks and have a good day

seriously.. kids you don't want to do that, Overclocking makes heat, heat makes phone melt!
Phone arent cooling geniuses
doable yes
advisable no
ab i think you need to add vales int he kernel then add the values to the setcpu.txt
just add
, 1300000 to the end of setcpu.txt and whatever u want above that
it has to be enabled in the kernel for it to work in setcpu or anything, it has been tested by Richardtrip and unfortunately it didn't work out -- don't think there is any point just yet anyway.

CPU seems to stay cool enough. Its the battery that causes the most heat on the desire. Just push the voltage a little bit more then try to hit 1.4ghz. Yes its going to be a massive drian on the battery, but it would be fun for people that wants to beat everyone's benchmarking scores I don't recommend useing the overvolt for too long tho.

[Q] CPU Frequency suggestions

is it true that over-clocking can damage my phone??
I like it when it's fast enough to play any games but i'm a little worried that OC might damage my phone..
do you have any suggestion about the right minimum and maximum frequency??(sorry 4 my english)

it really depends, im using CM10 on 134-1024 Mhz. Most the games are smooth. Its safe to OC up to 1.4 GHz imo. 1.6 GHz and 1.8 GHz might damage over time and a lot of usage at max frequency
OC is always bad and dangerous, no matter what clocks you use.
Besides, OC doesn't give any major performance boost, you can barely see it.

To add on, constant OC = spoiling your phones.

oh,so u mean OC is not that useful at all?should I just stay ay 1024 then?
Why bother overclocking something that is outdated specification wise? And with an single core, the performance boost is non-existant because the core will be driven hard and generate heat and voila.. RIP!

Just stick with device default, don't have to set CPU frequency

use memory setting app from playstore without overclock cpu
well thanks for the reply,i'm new here so I don't know how to quote your replies yet..
one last question,,have you ever heard of somone who broke his/her phone because of overclocking???

It's not a matter of hearing it from someone. It will definitely happen if you overclock your phone since increasing the maximum frequency from the design limit will fry your phone.

High Benchmarks?

Hi guys I have an M8q running ARHD 7.0 I use Elementalx 0.19 kernel. On antutu I get benchmark about 35000 but some guys get benchmark about 40000.If so I would like to know what settings they use to get such high benchmarks(any tweaks, settings in aroma for elementalx)elc.
Any help would really be appreciable

Benchmarks mean nothing in the real world. Nothing in the day to day use of your device. So why the need to have such a high score?

Fresh flash, totally clean/wiped HD - set performance gov and deadline sched - cool your phone down to the coolest you can then run it. - Usually works well.
And many of them have the chip overclocked. It is not some magic. Put your phone in ziplock, put it in freezer and start a benchmark. Instant 1.5k score boost without doing anything
Add custom kernel, CPU OC and you can go higher.

[Q] Best ROM for 3D Games (TES: Blades)

I'm looking for ROM with best GPU performance. Actually I'm at AEX 4.6 and I think this don't giving 100% power of Adreno 530. Am I right or this is one of the best what we have actually?

I also noticed same.
Pixel Experience, maybe? I haven't big problem in gaming. Playing [email protected] CGSS and Million Live between 1-2 hours nonstop using 3D high still no lag even I installed much app.

Miui 10 Throttling While playing PUBG

Hey guys, Currently I'm on MIUI 10 China beta 8.6.21.
While playing PUBG at 60fps device becomes hot after sometime and game kinda starts lagging/stuttering. I guess MIUI is throttling the CPU. I need some suggestions regarding the fix for this. Any Help will be appreciated.
Thank you

Anyone? Regarding the throttling fix? tried 2 kernels but both of em dont have the thermal temperature throttle option in kernel adiutor?
Try lovering the graphics on the game.

Its not the graphics i guess its the temperature. Its throttling even on 50°C. Any way to change the thermal throttling temperature? Its way too low.

yea...tried different combinations...none of em worked. When the temp is around 50°C game kinda laggy...graphic settings does not matter...even on low it lags.

Use this config....... I am having less heating and smooth gameplay or if you feel game is lagging try to switch to hd. And i am using kirks kernel 1.4 for miui.

hii no lag playing HDR EXTREME.. but battery backup is getting worst with all new upcoming updates since android 7 was awesome
