Miui 10 Throttling While playing PUBG - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

Hey guys, Currently I'm on MIUI 10 China beta 8.6.21.
While playing PUBG at 60fps device becomes hot after sometime and game kinda starts lagging/stuttering. I guess MIUI is throttling the CPU. I need some suggestions regarding the fix for this. Any Help will be appreciated.
Thank you

Its not the graphics i guess its the temperature. Its throttling even on 50°C. Any way to change the thermal throttling temperature? Its way too low.

yea...tried different combinations...none of em worked. When the temp is around 50°C game kinda laggy...graphic settings does not matter...even on low it lags.

[Q] Gangstar Vegas

Hey, how great is working Gangstar Vegas on your LGOG? Which rom and kernel do you use, do you use oc? I use Vanir 4.3 with Kite Kernel , and sometimes, i've got slight framerate drops (below 25 fps) on Very High details.
It is lagging even on galaxy s4
Snapdragon 800 with adreno 330 gpu is running this game smoothly
Like lg g2 and note 3

Yep, but i know that S4 Pro can much more...In my opinion it should be working on Very High (and it's working).
I don't like stock rom, because of thermal throttling (phone makes warm, and cpu drops to 1100mhz), on Vanir 4.3 (one of Oct nightly) phone is a bit cooler. I was using Kite Kernel (4.3 version of course) ,because of better scores in Benchmarks and slight OC (1620 option), the phone wasn't so hot as in stock. But the 1 Nov 2013 is very great build. On "nuclear" kernel (provided with rom) theoretically phone was slower, there were no OC option, but... framerate is much much stable in games, Gangstar is working now without any lags on very high, and...WOW! the phone is cool (never seen cooler OG), there's no thermal throttling, 1,5ghz all the time
My problem is solved

Just set all setting to max in your games. I don't have a single issue with dropped frames or stutters or any performance issues for that matter.

I would advise you to buy a device cooler in the first time (if not already done, and for instance: https://www.razer.com/mobile-accessories/razer-phone-cooler-chroma), as the heat your phone will endure might tire him faster than expected. Usually, phones are throttling to lower the heat generated by their CPU/GPU, so managing to help it cool itself might already mitigate the issue.
Maybe there are custom kernels that are oriented for gaming, but be very careful, especially if you want your phone to last a few years.

You might want to think about that half a dozen times, before going ahead. If you can't find the mod yourself imho your asking for trouble using it.

Question Root and Tweaks for AOSP A12 Custom roms?

Please,
May I suggest that you change the title of your topic to something shorter but more explicit than your question title?
Like : Root and Tweaks for a Nameless Custom Rom - AOSP
This will be more explicit than your question in the title.
Then ask your question here.
Thanks and have a good day

How To Guide HOW TO FIX ONEPLUS 11 THERMAL THROTTLING

Since many of you know or might not, OnePlus 11 start to throttle aggressively when battery temperature hits 40°c which results in several problems like refresh rate is locked at 60hz, whenever you playing any games the fps gets locked to 55 when battery hits 40°c when 43°c the fps gets locked between 45-50fps which completely takes away the fun of having a 8 gen 2 device. So to overcome this issue I am now sharing few steps through which u can overcome the issue and it is complete safe too, since I myself have been using it from months now
A) FOR UNROOTED USERS - Those who don't want to root their device can simply uninstall system battery app which goes by the name of "com.oplus.battery". Which u need to disable or uninstall to prevent the 40°c throttling.
B) FOR ROOTED USERS -
1) OxygenOs users with OOS 13 ( not 13.1 ) - These users need to flash the "vivothermal" zip via magisk.
2) OxygenOs users with OOS 13.1 ( not 13 ) - These users need to flash "Realme thermal disable" module
NOTE -> THIS IS ONLY TESTER ON CPH2447 MODEL WITH OXYGENOS, AND THEREFORE SHOULD ALSO WORK ON OTHER REGIONS EXCEPT CN SINCE THEY COME WITH COLOROS. SO ONLY USERS WITH OXYGENOS TRY

Whoa the heck, it actually works! I have my 10t unthrottled now. I was disappointed in the 10t at first, but this is simply game-changing. What was once a wasted potential of the gen1 is now a master piece. screw that battery app!

Now see how greatly it improves your overally gaming performance, for extreme gaming performance just look for app profile - search your game than set fast profile for the games. As you save it when you open that game the performance will automatically tuned for best performance and thermals with almost no lags at all

Wow. This worked on my OnePlus 9. Insane battery temp though lol.
Nice to see it can actually be removed easily enough though. I flashed the disabler and my OnePlus 9 didn't boot loop but I want to let it cool down before I do any more testing. 52C battery temp is not okay.
EDIT: The disabler module definitely works on the OnePlus 9. Do you mind if I repost this in the OnePlus 9 forum, @Aka9413? People have been wanting this for a long time.

Right, I know this, but that was an extreme case. Under normal usage, that won't happen. That stress test is specifically designed to push the device to the limit in order to test throttling behavior.
