[ROM]4 file ROM S5360XEKK6 - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 General

this ROM will restore the smartphone if it does not boot into the OS or hung on the splash screen Samsung Galaxy Y S5360
In Odin, place the files like this:
totoro_0623.pit in the PIT field
DefaultCalDataWithBoot_S5360XXKK5_REV05.tar.md5 in the BOOTLOADER field
PDA_S5360XXKK6_REV05.tar.md5 in the PDA field
MODEM_S5360XXKK5_REV05.tar.md5 in the PHONE field
GT-S5360-MULTI-CSC-OXEKK1.tar.md5 in the CSC field

nice use if someone hardbricks their phone with my cm12 themed rom (they should REALLY follow the instructions)

[GUIDE][PRO DUOS] Recover B5512 from soft brick using ODIN

I have soft-bricked my phone by trying to install a different kernel and ROM on my Pro Duos B5512.
Flashing only the kernel in the thread by championswimmer didn’t work because of a md5 mismatch.
This guide should also work with other samsung models if you find the right firmware (search on http://www.mod2xtreme.com/ or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1656825)
All credits go to manoranjan2050 for his great work in uploading the firmware for all the samsung galaxy y devices!
Go here to find the firmware package for the y pro duos
http://www.mod2xtreme.com/showthread...-Firmware-List
There I downloaded the latest firmware for Europe. Using Odin3 v1.85 I flashed successful and my phone is back up and running!
Here is a step by step:
1. Download and install KIES by Samsung (Odin needs these drivers to work)
2. Download odin3 1.85 (search on xda)
3. Download a firmware pack on mod2extreme
4. Open Odin and put the phone into download mode (volume down+Home+power, then select volume up to enter download mode)
5. Wait for your computer the finish the automatic driver program and your computer should recognize your phone
6. Now select the following files in ODIN (make shure auto reboot and F. reset time is selected)
-> PIT is the .pit file in the firmware map, the box in ODIN to Re-partition should be automatically checked now (if there isn't a pit file then this remains empty)
-> BOOTLOADER, select the file which has BOOT in the file name
-> PDA, select the file which contains PDA in the file name
-> PHONE, select here the file which has MODEM in the file name
-> CSC, select the file which has CSC in the file name
Info:For Save Use Do Not Use Boot loader and pit file. Do this only if everything else failed!
When everything is set-up click start and keep your fingers crossed! When everything goes according to plan your phone should restart, copy some files to system and the reboot again. Your phone is back to life! (boot could take 2-3 min)
Hope you fix your phone!

Nice explanation..
1. Suggestion..
Add "[GUIDE]" to your thread name.. It helps to identify what it is in mobile xda app.. and change mobile name to galaxy y variants.. As i suppose your guide covers both y duos and y phones... And lastly add link to manoranjan2050's thread (link)who is doing great work of providing all latest stock firmware updates to both duos of galaxy y.. So anyway good info..
hit thanks button! If above post helps you..

Thaks for the great guide. In Nitubhaskar's compact kernel thread for our device he gave advice on how to flash stock kernel and recover from soft brick in case you brick phone while flashing custom kernel. Can you add some of that info here and credit the appropriate persons? It would be great to have all relevant soft brick info for our device. Yor thread is dedicated to recovering from soft brick and so would be the best place to have all the facts in one piece

Hi, I have not used odin before, but my phone (B5512 galaxy y pro duos)
has a firmware from another country and I want to have my own
(because then I can write in my language). I have downloaded a file which
has "modem"," csc" and "pda" files only and it's the firmware other people
from my country have (B5512XXLF2) . I think my phone has Polish firmware (B5512XXLL1)
while I want the Greek one. Also, these two types seem the same
(the only difference in the code is the year month and version)
but one has greek keyboard and the other doesn't, what's the deal with that?
Will this method work for me? If not can I recover my phone?
I have not done this before and the phone is less than a month old and I am scared!
Thank you.
Recovery via odin should be possible. As for flashing Greek firmware I recommend you talk to Deadly or another expert via PM before proceeding.

This threads is to large i got lost and i didn't know from where i have to start.
NOTE that even if you follow my guide you can still end up with a bricked phone
Also it would have been best if you looked through General/Q&A for more data on this if you run into trouble
ok. here is kinda how:
from this:
(method is very similar to this website so you can use its images as reference)
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile...axy-s-gt-i9000-to-android-2-2-froyo-download/
page you will need:
512 PIT
Odin3
Samsung USB Drivers
Get a desired ROM release here:
http://www.editandroid.com/stock-firmwares-roms-for-samsung-galaxy-s-gt-i9000/
After acquiring these things you will need to install Drivers.
Open Odin3 after installation is done and boot your phone down.
When phone has turned off press: Power + Home + Volume DOWN button combo
Your phone should boot into download mode (it will show a yellow triangle with android with a shovel on it)
Now connect your phone to your PC via USB Cable and check for reaction from Odin3 software
Then browse for .pit file and ROM components you have downloaded earlier.
Be sure that you have located correct files into correct fields: pit, pda, phone, csc.
Click the start button and wait for output, if process halts/stops/freezes when setting PIT file try the process without pit file
After successive flash you must do it for second time and be sure to use PIT file and all other things again.
Boot the phone and go through all procedures of first boot.
Go to settings/storage
And wipe/format all storage devices available
Flash the ROM again.
If successful, you should have a device that is completely empty of your personal data

Note 4 PIT Files For Repartiton [F/C/T/W8]

I see a lot of users with partition problems like read and write errors and a lot more
People who need to re partition their note 4 can do so now
so i have decided to post the PIT files in my possession so everyone can have a smoother note 4 experience
Steps to flash PIT files in Odin (Have latest ODIN)
1. Boot the Galaxy Note 4 into download mode screen then connect to PC.
2. This time load the N910F/C/T/W8.pit Pit file on Odin’s PIT Button (Select pit file of your variant) (SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR C Variant SEE POST 2)
3. Load your original stock firmware on the Odin’s AP button.
4 Make sure repartiton is automatically checked in options
5. Click on “Start” to flash the stock firmware and PIT file then wait.
After the process is over
Turn off the phone and set it into recovery mode
– Press volume “volume up, home and power buttons”
– Once in recovery mode, perform full wipe
– Select ‘wipe data/factory reset’
All Files are in one zip
Only select your variant and DO NOT CROSS FLASH
Special instructions for C Variant of note 4
Make sure you flash The SM-N910C OLB (CSC) firmware before you repartition as apparently for this variant has different pit files for different firmwares)
OLB IS THE CSC CODE OF THE FIRMWARE
Example for the type firmware you need
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/60071/N910CXXU2COJ5_N910COLB2COJ5_XXV/
You can try flashing this pit with other firmwares you may have but beware you have been warned
Thank you for the PIT file. I want to re-partition my N910F, but what it means "cross flash" ? Thank you.
NEVER flash this file without rom. My phone got mad and didnt recognize ext sdcard or phone storage.. Trying to fix it at the moment..
E: I flashed the stock rom with pit file, after that I flashed TWRP + Nameless Rom. THIS IS DAMN SMOOTH NOW!
Thank you for wat you do. It work's great.
Request

Here You go,
1. Use Odin v3.10
2. OPTIONAL - Incase you need to format emmc, select clear nand partition (only if you experience data/system partition corrupted error). This can be done only while flashing Stock Rom TAR file.
3. Make sure you select both the PIT and PBA files (So that both repartioning and installation of stock rom is done in the same session).
4. Select Repartition and Flash the device.
5. Once rebooted you will get stuck at samsung logo, dont worry, just go to stock recovery and perform a factory reset and clear cache.
6. Might take upto 5mins, but works like a charm.

G930VL TO G930V Conversion Guide

I am creating this guide to convert convert the G930VL to G930V since i cant find a guide for android 7.0 and The G930VL firmware is no ware to be found. I have been a long time member and have flashed many roms on phones and normaly dont find a need to post but since i could not find much on the internet i decided to make a step by step guide.
I take no credit for creating any of the tools used in this guide as i was not the creator. I have only figured out the way to get the G930V firmware on to the phone.
I am not responsible for any bricked devices
You must have usb drivers installed
Tools:

Steps:
1: Download SamFirm, Odin PrinceComsy, and the PIT file.
2: Extract and Run SamFirm ( Samfirm requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) can be found on microsofts website if you recieve an error when searching for firmware) .
3:In the firmware info box under Model enter SM-G930V and Region enter VZW. Make sure Auto is checked. and click check Update.

6: extract and open Odin PrinceComsy and click each one of the BL, AP,CP,CSC radio buttons and choose the matching file from the fimware unziped in Step 5. FOR CSC BUTTON FILE YOU MUST CHOOSE HOME_CSC FILE (TO KEEP YOUR DATA) OR CSC FILE (TO ERASE YOUR DATA). DO NOT CLICK START!!!!!
7:Extract the PIT file downloaded.
8: In odin click on the PIT tab and browse and select the file extracted in Step 7. DO NOT CLICK START!!!!!

Thanks, your guide help me flash my phone and everything works except for sending text messages (and since smsc isn't working my voicemail doesn't either). Did you have this issue as well? My smsc is in the messaging app but it doesn't work. Receiving texts, Sending/receiving MMS, calls, 4g data all work.

Double check your apn settings. Sometimes they get muddled. Also, my experience with this is that you have to make a call to get texts to work. I jest updated to oreo using jkruse post and it works much better than nougat. My apn was wrong and just changing the name to TRACFONE.VZWENTP fixed everything

Hi can you please tell me if this guide will work to flash a Verizon s7 that is on TMobile nougat back to Verizon nougat so I can update to Oreo that k you
So my friend tried rooting his phone (VL model) and it's bricked. It has a boot loop with the installing system firmware screen. But I can boot into Odin download mode. I tried using this method and picking both CSC and home CSC. On the CSC one it will fail at emmc_appsboot.mbn.lz4 after the "single download" line.
The Home CSC, it will reboot after the RQT_CLOSE and RES OK and says pass for for set partitions, but when it reboots it goes to the installing system firmware bootloop
Any suggestions? He can't afford a new phone. And I'd love to help him fix it!
I have a copy of the SM-G930VL firmware.

I think i bricked my SM-G930VL from straight talk, it boots up but it immediately reboots after not even 10 seconds of being booted up. i think it was because i rooted and google apps mostly did not load, they had a loading circle but it never loaded so i decided i would try and go into recovery mode and clear/wipe the cache partition. im not quite sure if thats why i cant fully boot past the lockscreen, i tried a factory reset after attempting to boot into safe mode several times but it continues to reboot after the starting android screen, wont even let me setup the phone now.. its very frustrating and if the stock firmware will work, do you still have it? or would i need to try something else?
This method bricked my Straight Talk S7 by leaving it in a recovery loop. I was able to get it into download mode, then installing SM-G930VL Tracfone firmware with Android 6.0 using Odin PrinceComsy (no PIT file). Then, once it was working, I did official software updates through system update to get it up to Android 7.0. I originally had Android 8.0 before brick, but it is still doing updates after every install, so I'll check in if I was able to get it back to how it was before. I suspect that the PIT file used in this guide may be what is causing the recovery loop. I will try the SM-G930V conversion without it to see what happens. My ultimate goal here is to get my Straight Talk S7 rooted.
can you get me the link to SM-G930VL Tracfone firmware you used please
