Screen flickering/tearing

I have screen tearing or something around the border of my Moto 360. It's clearly noticeable when on a black screen. I can see the flickering/tearing around the border on everything.
Any solution?

Have you tried resetting the watch? Perhaps check and make sure that you've updated the watch to the latest Android Wear firmware? Might want to contact Motorola /Google Play if neither of those resolve the issue. Could be a defect.

I don't see any tearing/flickering. Are you referring to the distortion caused by the shape of the glass around the edges?

I don't see anything..Your watch is fine.
My moto 360 also started doing this today while I was messing with it. It is not the distortion of the glass edge. The edge of the screen is flickering and there is a bright glow around it. It is most visible in the settings menu. It started doing this when I was testing the navigation. My high accuracy was off on my phone and the 360 crashed. It took awhile for the screen to come back. At first I thought it was due to the battery being below 20% but that is not the case. I've since reset it and rebooted it but it hasn't fixed it. Did yours get fixed?

I have the same problem with my moto 360 2nd gen. screen flicker and a flickering image of the display when charging that doesn't go away. Called motorola and the customer support (if you can even call him that) admitted that he has seen quite a few of watches with the exact same problem come in lately. Since this is a problem that "quite a few people are experiencing" why do I have to pay for it to be fixed. Although my 1 year warranty did expire 1 week ago.. go figure. That was another thing he said.. it wouldnt matter if your warranty expired 1 day ago, you would still have to pay to get it fixed... (even though this is a problem that they are aware of) so again, like moto 360 gen 1 they ship a product that is sub par and too bad so sad for the customer.. so much for trusting a brand like motorola.. not again.. going to buy the new LG smartwatch sport and never go back to motorola. Anyone want to buy a POS moto 360 2nd gen for cheap?

Cost runs around 150 US for a replacement screen with the digitizer but your device will never be the same.
I broke or shattered my screen a few months back and bought a replacement unit off eBay, the replacement screen isn't the same quality as the original screen.
You'll as need new adhesive and a heat gun which is needed to soften up the massive amount of adhesive that glues down your existing screen.
If you aren't precise and glue down your new screen in the exact same pattern of your original screen, you'll have worrible sound vibrations coming from the top speaker.

What have you replaced on ZE551ML

Hey all
Thought write up and ask what others have bought and changed on their ASUS ZE551ML
Thought maybe share any experiences on what to buy or not buy from
I have changed
Wi-Fi antenna
USB board
Vibrator
Battery
Flex cable
Screen and frame and LCD in one
With the replacement screens and frame combo with LCD, you have to also bring across from the original the camera lens foam or create one as stops dust getting on lens
And that Wi-Fi antenna, so small had to use a microscope tool to see where plugs into
Vibrator connector also breaks easy as well

I've changed the speaker, battery, and the lower board, but the thing I've changed the most is the screen. The screen was cracked when I first received my phone, and I've cracked it twice more since I've owned it. Probably shouldn't try to hold onto it while playing with my dogs, haha. I actually have a replacement screen coming in right now.
Nothing yet, but I ordered an LCD+frame because I got the infamous tearing problem. At the same time I will replace my power button that is kind of stuck and does not work properly.

Haha you're a legend at it then, changing the screens and opening it up
Did you transfer the camera surround foam across?
I initially didn't and within a couple months the front camera and touch sensor behind the underside of the glass had like white dust and affected the selfie camera

I honestly don't remember if I did or not. I haven't had any issues with the FFC either way.
When I said I've changed the screen, I meant that I just ordered the screen + frame assembly. I've only changed the itself on a phone once and I'm never going to attempt to diu that again; it was too much effort and the adhesive ended up bring poor quality.

I just changed mine, I transferred the foam/rubber for the front camera, the upper speaker, a tiny bit of foam in the lower right corner, and also the notification LED has a kind of opaque square at the bottom and a piece of square white rubber you have to put on the new frame too. I first forgot it and when I had a notification I was directly seeing the LED on the PCB
EDIT: I used this youtube video for the how-to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieSFL0kIsAI
I think i need to replace my battery... the problem is getting a new one :/

Exactly what I had to do with the new frame after finding out I did it wrong after putting it all back together and then of course had to take it apart again
My fix for the sponge/rubber around both cameras and also the sensors worked and no dust gets under them anymore

Dude so many replacements... would be easier to just get a new one no?
Sure Aliexpress have the batteries but they are 3rd party and they don't mention the manufacturing date :/ Going to all the trouble to replace the current one to another that might be worse, i don't really want to take that chance. My battery appears to have what i think is some cells damaged or some bad voltage reader, because when it reaches 25% it it goes rapidly to near zero in a few minutes :/ but besides that it actually last what appears to be on par with the duration (charge) announced.

actually i got 4,5 devices for development purpose and was declared motherboard dead by service center. i was able to revive them with SOC only. so i did experiment with replacing chip. some of them had issue with certain part and broken screen. that happened to my very own purchased.
i bought from ali and it is working very well. you may get one with manufactured date mention on it

Question regarding LG G8's design - Is this normal?

So I've received two LG G8's now from ebay, the first one I returned because it was in very poor cosmetic condition. The new one I received which while for most part looks brand new, has one similar potential issue that I noticed on the first. Basically, if you look right at the seam where the glass is supposed to be tucking into the metal frame I swear you can see under the screen. It's very noticeable if you max out brightness, hold the phone in your hands horizontally with the screen facing up, and then start tilting it upwards. The only explanation I can think of is that the glass is clear there allowing you to see through the screen somewhat.
It's very possible that the screens were replaced on a lot on these "like new" models people are selling on Ebay. The problem being if the screen isn't properly adhered to the frame I fear the phone will probably no longer be waterproof. Does anyone here by chance have a G8 that was purchased brand new and has hopefully never had the screen replaced? If so, can you see what I'm seeing as well?

Dasaita 9 inch px5, in need of display. Can't find anywhere.

I'm trying to find a 9 inch display digitizer and possibly controller board or driver board or whatever it's called for my head unit. Pictures and all the part number and serial numbers I can find are attached below. Without going into details of fist hit my stereo a couple of times and yeah even though the parts are cheap I'm unable to find one. I got another head unit for like a hundred bucks and then try to see if that one would work but that one doesn't have a separate driver board and it just flat out wasn't working and then I bought another digitizer and display separately that closely mastered I had but I guess because the driver board isn't the same the unit doesn't display anything. The core board gets warm so I can tell that it's actually turning on as well as see the power out of my bench power supply being used but other than that it's not lighting up the display at all there's no click there's no backlight so I'm guessing it's incompatible with that driver board. Can anybody help me find these parts? I'm looking specifically for the display the digitizer the glass that the whole thing the whole display itself. I don't think I need a controller or driver board but just in case I'm going to get one anyway and just replace that in the ribbon cables just everything except for the head unit that has to do with the display. If you have any questions let me know and again pictures are attached for your reference
What did Dasaita suggest when contacted for support and spare parts
Hey,change it to mine with this and work very well. But carreful to the connector.

@DJYoshaBYD I had exactly the same issue with my 9in Dasaita head unit.
There is a known issue with the TFT board that the backlight regulator component (Zener diode - D1) on the TFT board that will overheat and damage the component if you run the display at 100% brightness for extended periods of time. I was able to get Dasaita to provide me a replacement TFT board (that is specifically what you ask them for) and it solved the backlight issue for me.
The TFT board is IMG_20211215_093943.jpg in your set of images
If you still need/want the LCD panel, I have the one that I purchased from Dasaita for $65 (US) which I did not end up using. I would let you have it at my cost + shipping. I have the exact LCD pictured in IMG_20211215_094017.jpg from your images above.
I have listed the LCD display on eBay:

Give me a total for the display. I'd like it expedited. I don't need the board itself the board should be fine I just need the display the digitizer the glass and the ribbons basically the whole display minus the controller board. The board didn't burn out or anything like that fist for some reason landed directly on my stereo and shattered it. LOL. So that's why I need another one. So just the LCD and the digitizer are all I need. So if you can give me a price for just those two things and a price for overnight and like two day like give me a couple of different prices for you know shipping plus like the regular base shipping and we'll go from there
@DJYoshaBYD sent PM.
Sorry to hear that your display got shattered.
The display and digitizer are all in one, just what's shown in the eBay listing is included. I have not even removed the screen protector film from the display.
Will ship it to you in the same packaging that I received it from Dasaita. You can get shipping estimates from eBay as I have also provided shipping box dimensions.
As much as I want to get it dude like I'm going to need like the whole display. Like the LCD the digitizer with the glass and the control board with it and the cables so I mean the whole display as it comes out of the head unit itself so basically from the ribbon all the way to the front of the display I need all that if I'm going to pay you know 80 bucks for it. If you could do 65 flat for the whole thing so 50 and then 15 for shipping I'll pay that. But all I'm seeing in the ad is just the display itself with no digitizer or anything which means I have to spend another 15 or 20 bucks on a digitizer and get a control board of mine's burn out so if you can do all of it for 65 flat I'll do that
I'm offering the display for what I paid Dasaita for it and don't have the ribbon cables, etc. I do have a TFT board that I would be willing to include for the "Buy it Now" price + shipping. When I bought the display from Dasaita, I was wanting the whole front end of the head unit too, but that's what they sent me.
For what I'm offering the item for, I'm not looking to turn a profit. It's just that I sold the vehicle that the head unit was in and now I don't need these parts. Based on what you've indicated, what I am offering would very likely fix your head unit, if only the display glass was shattered.
