...but it doesn't hurt to ask. I got an old first-day-out DInc that I was using for streaming music (hasn't been a phone in a while). Roughly a year ago, it took a half dip in a toilet. When that happened, my screen started having a blue tint occasionally but I could bend it slightly and the pressure would snap it back. Long story short, never smart to do that to inflexible items, duh. That stopped working a few months ago and I was stuck with a blue tinted screen. This morning I got two bright lines and a screen freeze, so I pulled the battery and restarted and voila! Nothing but a white line and/or the Matrix and when it boots into the OS, the system bar is in the middle of the screen and it doesn't work.
I attached a photo and I was wondering if anyone had any idea about what part could be at fault and if it's even remotely worth it to try and fix it?
Thanks!
My little sister bought my old htc desire, it has always functionned perfectly. It has the screen replaced 10 months ago with a cheaper non-htc/original screen. It appeared more brownish but as functionned perfectly ever since (and seems like it has some self-repearing capabilities).
Now 2 days ago my sister let mee see the phone and the screen was totally white. (Actually with some vertical lines visible with a wood-like texture). With the screenshot/monitor tool in the SDK it appears that in the background the screen is rendering normally.
Today I tried to boot the phone and some werid atefacts showwed up. Some parts are now readable and when you look closely you can see the structures on the screen.
Can someone tell me what this is and what is the cause of it?
It looks not good. In my opinion its non iryginal screen is dead.

P.S. might be half detached wire connecting the screen with the board, or a broken screen...

Hello, I've got a problem with slowly dying display on my LG G3 (D855). Phone dropped few times but everything was OK. Few days ago stopped working. During the evening it was working and then put on shelf, after half an hour impossible to turn it on. In the morning I found small drops inside the camera lens (phone didn't fall in the water and I don't know about some contact with water)......dried in rice for two days....after two days finally phone started, it was possible to turn it on but on display were vertical stripes with wrong colours screening....put in rice for another two days....phone turned on but from the right side of display started black vertical stripes and with every new start of the phone it is being worse. More on pictures. Phone is almost new but I can't find the warranty list so I need to repair it my way. Could anyone help me please? Have a nice day!
Since you are seeing fluid in your camera i can only imagine that your LCD display is leaking from the drops on the floor. Screen replacement looks like the only option but i would suggest turning off your phone and open it to check other damage from leaking fluids on the mainboard.

Hi,
I dropped my note 2 and the display is blank after that. The motherboard is fine. The phone is booting up and the phone rings when someone calls.
However, even the touch functionality is not working on the blank screen.
So, what do you guys think, just a digitizer replacement will work? or do you think it might need a full LCD assembly replacement. If latter is the case, I might as well dump this phone as its almost End of life.
thanks,
Hi Guys, i am also facing the same problem. The phone was dropped and after an hour the screen started turning blue and within few hours the whole screen went dark blue ( or nearly black). The phone is still switching on and the bottom and side buttons are working but screen is black.
Do i need to replace the screen only or the whole display kit as asked in the first post?
Also i want to take backup of all my contacts, sms, whatsapp messages and other stuff. Is there any way i can do this when there is no display on the screen? Need a solution on urgent basis.
Thanks in advance
My device was delivered just 20 days ago. The device was working perfectly normal till now.
Suddenly today, the device's screen got a vertical line of pixels stuck on pink color. I tried restarting the device and the line still show up even while the device is booting meaning this is a hardware issue.
The phone has been used very delicately without dropping or any liquid damage or over-charging.
The problem suddenly showed up today. I have attached some snaps of the phone's display.
What could be the problem?
Bad screen, should be covered under warranty.

Over charging no problem. Even a drop shouldn't do this without cracking the screen. Contact Oneplus they will and have to replace it.
You see this is flat screen TV's a lot and it's usually a faulty panel or control board. Both are covered under warranty.
