In the notifications or apk settings the option to disable system notifications are greyed out ..
Is there an xposed module or some other root explorer mod that could make this happen .

Edit "notification_config.txt" in /system/customize/

You can use Root Explorer and you must Mount R/W.
Long press notification_config.txt and open in text editor, edit your text press MENU save changes or save and exit.

Install any file explorer and save the custom ringtone in your sd card. Then goto changing your ringtone option, and there, you should be prompted to use File Manager or Android System, choose File Manager, browse to your custom ringtone and choose it. Done.
