Like the title says, I am trying to remove a few system apps and having a bit of trouble. I wanted to get rid of Messages and a few Verizon apps. Thanks for any help.
Just use a Root Explorer type app and go into system/app or system/priv-app and delete them.
+1 to the above comment.
Is there a list of apps that are safe to delete?

Hi all,
Is there a list of LG apks/odex files that we can delete without causing problems on LU6200. I really can't use most of them and it makes my drawer messy especially with korean captions which I can't read.
Thanks.
Yeah. Same for the AT&T P930.
Sent from my LG-P930 using XDA
I managed to get rid of unnecessary apps by obtaining root. Then I enabled root explorer on ES file explorer. I then renamed those apks whose icons match those applications that i want to get rid of. At first I just try to rename them then if nothing bad happens after I reboot, I delete them. I use ES file explorer as it shows the icons of the apps so it is easy to associate the apks with the application. I still have 3 or 4 apps that I want to get rid of but I can't find the corresponding apks.

I have a few apps like facebook google plus and google maps which are by default installed in XperiaS.
I am rooted stock ics. 45 build.
Can I remove or delete the applications from system/app cause any problems?
And I want to install them from playstore if I need them.
So anyone tell me which.directory does the app we install from playstore are installed so that i.can move apps from sys/app in that folder..
Yes you can and yes, you can easily uninstall/move them.
Use root explorer to move the app/apk that you not want to move from System/app to your SD Card Folder.
Just make sure not to delete or move any system apk, that is required to run the OS.
More Specific instructions by Redstarr1 below- so follow it, u shud b fine.

So auni already told you you can remove apps like Facebook, G+ and Gmaps easily from /system/app. If you want the app back as a "normal" app, you can:
- copy those apps to /data/app, I'd go with one of the following options though
- copy those apps to your external storage and install them like you would any other app (so once you copied the app outside of /system, press it and a dialog will open)
- delete those apps and install them from Play Store.
Hi All!
I rooted my G5S in order to use adblocker, it works great, using Root Explorer to delete System apks like Outlook, is not working, after reboot the deleted apks are back.
Any way to remove them??
Check this Location /oem/app or priv-app

Use System app remover.
I removed unwanted apks from system/Apps and system/private Apps, and it is fine. Outlook and LinkedIn are placed in root/OEM, unable to delete, Phone freeze, trying to mount.
I have samsung galaxy j2 ace (SM G532G). I have rooted the phone (root checker says it is configured properly) and am trying to remove the bloatwares but they keep on coming back. Can I remove them once and for all?
Depends on what you are removing bloat with.
I would suggest removing bloat yourself with a root explorer from system/app and system/priv-app
Then delete the data associated with it

Even if I make changes in the file it reappears automatically. Any changes or deletion is reverted back to its original condition. I have used titanium backup to remove the app. How to fond the location of the app that I need to remove like samsung browser throgh root explorer.

First of all, LP is a topic that can't really be discussed here, since it's against the warez part of the forum rules.
If you want to uninstall a system app and you do have root, you can do it via a root explorer (with MiXplorer for example). Just go to the root folder "/" then find the system folder. And you app will be in a folder inside the app or priv-app folder. "/system/app/your app" or "/system/priv-app/your app"
Delete the entire folder of your app once you found it, then reboot, and that should do it.
Remember that uninstalling system apps may brick your device (if you uninstall the wrong ones), but you want to uninstall the stock videoplayer so I don't think it is a problem.
