BTW do you know how to disable lockscreen rotation only and leave the other apps with the default auto rotation?

Possibly the android tuner xposed module. It lets you selectively set auto rotation.

My suggestions:
Titanium Backup: backup/restore app + app data + many more in Pro version
Mobile Odin app: on-device flashing for Samsung phones and tablets
TraingleAway app: remove yellow triangle and reset flash counter for Samsung phones and tablets
BBS: BetterBatteryStats need root for Alarm and Network stats
Terminal Emulator: Needs root for SU commands
Root Checker: checks if your Phone is rooted properly
Voltage Control: check and change min./max. CPU freq and available voltages for all freq when running on a compatible kernel
Elixir Widgets: need root for some nice system toogles/actions
ES File Explorer: needs root for mounting the system partitions for read/write access
My only addition to the list mentioned above, would be ROM Toolbox Pro.
It's pretty much all the essential root apps you'll need, plus a ton more features.
Gotta be the best root user app there is.
And even though it costs a few quid, it really is worth every penny.
P.S. This thread will be getting moved by a mod because it's in the wrong section

[Q] Any App to remove/disable the permission of some Apps?

Some Apps need lots of permission, but indeed a few permission can work well. And it make me uncomfortable to apply so many permissions.
Is there any App to do something to disable or remove the un-needed permission? (my KF not rooted)
[email protected]
Found. An app named Advanced Permission Manager

Check Apps Permission After Installed

When downloading an app from play store, it provides a list of permissions the app is using. My question is, is there a way to list all apps installed group by permission type? Like all apps that has access to my contact list?
There are programs like Advanced Permissions in the app store you can review and change permissions of installed programs.

Question How to actually delete gmail app from system?

I'm looking for a way to actually delete/uninstall gmail from system.
I know you can do a command in adb to uninstall, but that just disables the app and leaves the files in the partition.
Looking for a way to actually delete the file, and when i install it through Play Store, it just installs like a regular app, not as system app.
I've been looking through files with MiX explorer. But I'm scared if i delete the file i find, that it bricks my phone after reboot.
it shouldn't
root and use system app remover
I'm rooted and use debloater module in magisk to delete system apps. I like that I can save the list of apps I want to delete and just flash the module after each update to repeat the process.
Deleting an app folder shouldn't break anything, but if you ever have concerns just rename the folder instead of deleting. That way the system can't find it, but it's still there if you need it back.

Open cmd line in fastboot tools dir and type
adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.google.android.gm

This is the command i was talking about. It doesn't delete the apk. After i run this and reinstall the app from play store, it is back into system app.
Why are you reinstalling it if you want to delete it?
Maybe look at systemize module to move it from system to data if that's what you are trying to do

That doesn't work.
It is only able to delete the updates. System apk remains.
According to the app it is located here:
/product/app/Gmail2/Gmail2.apk
I dunno if i can delete it, since this phone uses A/B partitions. Usually system apps are located in a different folder.

I'm trying to delete it to see if it fixes the notifications.
This phone is hunted with push notifications not receiving at all for this app.
Hoping that this would fix it.

I use alpha backup pro to delete gmail (and many other apps), which will permanently remove a system app (need root), however, if you want to do it the safe way, use de-bloater (playstore), which removes apps via magisk, i.e systemless, so you can revert if you f something up. cheers
Titanium Backup (root) can delete, freeze, and of course, backup system and user apps. Make a backup first, and look over the list of system apps, there are a lot there which are google-related. Freezing will do the same as pm disable....... Uninstall will remove it completely. Whether your device is A/B or not will not matter.
The nice thing about TB is you can see the actual (full) filenames of the packages, and any uninstall/freezes are easily reversible. There are probably other (google) notification service-type apps which are giving you the undesired notifications,
Good luck!
All these apps can't delete the actual apk in the /products folder.
I guess I'll have to do it manually.

Not sure what you mean. Several of these apps do exactly that.
De-bloater Pro (from playstore) deletes the apk from /product (or /vendor, etc.) and moves it to its own folder in /data/adb/modules so that you can restore it later if you so choose (or if you accidentally delete the wrong thing and bootloop).
Debloater (magisk module for terminal) does the same thing. I use it to fully remove several system apps (Netflix, YouTube, YTMusic, etc.) in order to install non-system versions.

Well, the apps i tried all failed with an error it could not delete it.
I didn't try that one you mentioned, because you have to pay for it.
So i went and tried the debloater module, and you are right. It did delete it. Thank you!
Let's see if this makes any difference.
So far, so good.
I have been receiving notifications from Gmail since i deleted the system app and installed it from Play Store as a regular app
Let's see if this continues working.

Question OnePlus - How to grant root storage folder permission for app?

Hello there,
I used to use Catch! (from Daemon Tools) to schedule a daily incremental file backup from my phone and upload it to my computer. It worked pretty good - until Android 11 came and knocked on the door.
Since then it became a ****show. Can't select the root storage folder anymore:
"Can't use this folder. To protect your privacy, choose another folder" when trying to grant permissions for storage access.
Now I have to grant the permission for each subfolder and create a seperate backup schedule.
Many folders still can't be accessed though like the downloads folder.
The permissions for accessing folders are granted through the app "files". It is invisible and can't be opened by normal means.
There has been a workaround by using the app MiXplorer. Here is a video how it is done.
Important part is at 1:38:
Basicly he 'adds' a folder to 'Home' in MiXplorer and then this folder appears in the Files-App on the left side. This folder icon can be then selected to grant access in other apps.
For me there are no folders on the left side except googledrive and the phone itself despite having MiXplorer installed.
Having OnePlus 9 Pro and Android 13 - not rooted.
How do I add those sidebar folders in the 'files' app?
If it is patched are there any other ways to achieve this except rooting?
Greetings

Sorry, forgot to mention. I don't want to root the phone. I need it for banking and cannot afford having a magisk addon patched/circumvented. I had this game twice and it was not fun.
KernelSU isn't Magisk. Banking / payment apps won't detect Android got rooted, that's fact.

Unsupported. KernelSU only supports GKI kernels now.
App reports a QGKI Kernel v5.4.147
You were told this.
