Why can i add only four users + the guest user? Whats the reason for that? I need one more user. Is this possible?
I found at the forum only less information about this problem. I want to change the build.prob. There is no specific entry in my build.prob file like fw.users_max=5. i add this but the file theems to be overridden with the original at Start up.
I use the rom from sultan XDA. Vers. 7.1.2

I am sorry if this has been asked before, I did a few searches and couldn't find the info I was after.
I am playing around with some of the ROMs available from different developers on this forum and was wondering, when you flash a new ROM is there a config/settings file that sets up the different parameters on the PPC?
I would love to be able to customise a ROM that automatically installed the CABs I want plus set up the environment variables such as ringtone+vibrate, today screen items, theme etc..

my name is Markus, i think about to build up a database, where devs can upload and post their ROMS. I think about this, because it is very difficult to find here a rom with features wich i want to have. I will build up only a database, with no forum, the support and things like this, schould stay here.
But I think this is only possible, when i find some devs wich have interest to use an offer like this.
What think you about this? A Database where you can search and filter roms. For example you can search for special applikations, wich schould be in the rom or a special language.

The reason chefs don't release update files is because the programs designed to create ImageUpdate files are still in development. There is currently no way for us to use the ImageUpdate system at this time, and that's the only true update mechanism that would work with ROMs.
I suggest that until the XDA ImageUpdate project is online and running (could be awhile), you should learn to automate the installation of all your .cabs, personal info, email accounts, etc. with XDA User Customization (provided your ROM supports this). I have almost nothing to install or configure after a ROM flash because I've automated everything on my device with XDA User Customization.
i mean that the publishers would make a cab to update our rom. i didnt mean a nbh file. is it logical ?

They've been developed...the problem is that no current roms support image update and that the program has evolved into a something a bit bigger and has slowed in development.
CABs won't work, because some files are "cooked" into the ROM (read only memory) and cannot be changed.
The "Image Update" been discussed is the solution to this - if you want to know how / why, see here.
Until it's developed, theres not much you can do.

Hello everyone. So, today I learned to use ADB (yay!) I installed MoreLocale (for whichever time...) but it still doesn't work the way it did. So, here come the questions:
1. Is it possible to add a locale (hidden by default - I downloaded Language Enabler, and it shows there are hidden languages) solely through ADB?
2. If yes, what is the command?
3. If not, is there any other way to add another language/locale?
P.S. As some of you might have mentioned, lately I've been basically spamming the forum. But there is only one reason for it: I want to make my phone as much Russian as possible. As soon as Russian will be added (not like now - only a few apps are translated), I'll stop creating new threads and posts.
P.P.S. I'm posting here for the reason that not each phone contains each language, and so it might be useful for everyone how to add a locale with ADB if it's possible.
