Is anyone else having massive battery issues? My 360 dies from 100% in about an hour, and is red hot the entire time. It has become unusable as a result. Seems like this device has gotten a lot of bad rep on battery issues but no one has nailed it down. About to actually throw this thing away but before I do it I'm making one last post on here to see if anyone has ANYTHING I can do.
Did a factory reset, took three times to actually do the reset instead of just rebooting like it was doing. After everything synced up, battery was still draining. I don't really have much of anything installed, battery life is still utter crap and the watch is overheating. To the trash it goes!
theres something very very wrong there , sounds like a app is draining your watch to me, have a look at the wear app on your phone to see if theres anything a miss

Battery stats show no app information. Just says that my battery is going to die in 45 mins from 90%
i would bite the bullet and wipe my phone and watch ..... because its clearly doing something in there
What is the phone doing to cause this? Is it the ROM? I'm on Pure Nexus on the 6P.
Why don't you contact Motorola and ask them for a replacement?
I did when my watch got a crack in the backplate (caused by me doing press ups, whilst wearing it) and they arranged for it to be collected, repaired and re-delivered free of charge.
I was thinking about that but I got it over a year ago so I'm not sure how long the warranty is.
I'm having the same issues, though not as severe as yours. My watch gets about fourteen hours, much less than it used to. I wish there was a place for me to send it to have the battery replaced. I'd send it to Moto, but given their [poor] history of customer service, I'll pass.
It's a shame, really; I like this device, and was thinking of picking up a second one in silver, especially now that the 1st gen prices have dropped as much as they have, but I also don't want to throw good money after bad.
I might just trash this one and get the Asus watch...Moto support was bad from what I read too.

I have a colleague who sent her son's Moto watch in for warranty exchange, and then waited more than three months before they finally told her that it would be a while before the replacement came, and there are numerous stories out there like that. It's really a shame, because it's a nice watch. The ASUS watch is too expensive for my taste, I really don't want to spend that much on it.
The Asus one on Amazon is $150 new. The original Asus watch is $99. Cheaper than the Moto.

throw it away, mines been to Moto already for a replacement and a few months later the pixels on the screen are starting to die, bottom right corner is all messed up. Moto are no longer the company they were. Get another watch from a better maker (LG, Huawei)

Yes, I agree with you. Moto simply isn't anywhere near the same company since all the acquisitions, damn shame. I don't really want to spend $300+ for a Huawei or another watch. Guess I'll just use it until it dies completely and then go back to my Gear Live. I like Android Wear, but hate Tizen!

3500mAh battery + cover- looks smoother than Seidio, but also looks like it could be cheaply made.
Check it out.
What do you think? Would you gamble on it? Why or why not?
i took the gamble, i'll let you know how it is in 2-6 business days
$19? Seems cheap...especially for an "extended" battery. Our 1900mAh battery as a replacement costs more than that, haha.
will this still fit in the lapdock?

Geez man that really sucks. Thanks for letting us know tho.
I think I might not be trying hard enough to make it fit, but it just seems like it doesn't want to go in.
Hello, everyone. I received this battery a couple days ago. The battery doesn't just slip right in, you have to push really hard. Overall, the extra sign is not as bad as i thought. It actually blend in with the phone. I was using it heavily for 14 hours straight, when the phone said i have 1% left. I thought that the phone would shut off but it keep on going for another 3 hours. It probably can go on but im afraid it might ran out while im on the road. I recharge it and will continue to monitor it. The only problem i see is the battery indicator is not accurate. I hope that it will calibrate itself in a few more power cycle.
You had to push hard? I pushed super hard and I was afraid of breaking the phone. I'll give it another shot though!

Yes, put the battery conductor side down first and push the rest of it down. It will work.
Sorry. I feel like an idiot for not being able to push a battery in. But when you put it in conductor side first, did the back of yours get stuck on the fingerprint scanner part?
I feel like I'm going to break the device if I push any harder.

No, mines isn't stuck on the fingerprint part. I hope we got the same battery. I got mine from the link on the first page of this post.
Today I noticed that the back of my Epic Touch is pushed out. Popped the cover and my battery is swollen. It wasn't like this yesterday. What drew my attention to it was the fact is was much hotter then normal. Also, it keeps resetting now too I've noticed a few times today.
I had noticed my phones battery life took a noise dive the past couple weeks but I figured it was something I had installed or done. I went from about 24~30 hours on Gingerbread to like...... 10~12 hours?
I've had my phone about a year, maybe a little less..? I assume it's not safe to keep using this battery but I really do NOT want to invest money into another one when I really want to find a way to get the GS III anyway. Problem is, I need a battery like today, I use my phone for work.

Since it is a year old, it is out of warranty. If it is not quite a year old, they can tell you to contact Samsung for a new battery or it will just be luck of the draw who you talk to and if they have any batteries laying around.
Brand new Samsung OEM battery, no questions asked. They never even asked my name.
I walked in, asked to speak with the tech about my battery, battery was already out of the phone and when the tech saw it he said, "you need a new battery don't you"!?
He didn't even bother with their "tests", he just went into the back and got one still in the plastic baggy and handed it to me.
Was much easier then I expected. Never even asked how long I'd had the phone.

I have never had them question me about a battery as long as it didn't have water damage. My stores must be different cause we talk about rooting and everything. When I was running AOKP the tech asked which build and everything. I like my Sprint store. It is a corporate one if it matters.

Figured I'd bring this back up in case anyone was having this problem again. Anyway, I recently noted my battery was swollen too and after reading this post I figured I'd try going to the sprint store and see what happens.
I walked in, one of the workers there saw me holding the battery and asked if i needed to have it checked. I said yes. He checked it, confirmed that it was swollen and told me that the machine that measures its electrical properties said the battery was bad. He proceeded to give me another battery that he said was better, and I left happy.
I don't think the battery he gave me was new, but it definitely performs better than my old one. I do happen to have a week left on my 1 year warranty, but it was my impression that the guy at the store didn't even check my records. Finally, this was a corporate store and it is one of the stores that is marked on sprint's website as capable of doing repairs.
Basically what I'm trying to say is, if you think you're battery's bad, go ahead and try to take it into the store. Worst case scenario you get nowhere, but if you're lucky you could end up leaving with a better battery without much hassle.
I went to three different corporate stores with my swollen battery, and got nada. One store tried hard to sell me an extend battery at full retail. I mentioned that my phone was less than a year old, and all said the warranty does not cover the battery, and I would need to contact Samsung.

I went to a corporate store that is listed as a repair center as well. They logged me in, and he could tell my battery was swollen before I even took the cover off the back of the phone. They gave me a battery from a demo phone as they didn't have any in store and they ordered a new battery that was delivered to my house a few days later. I do have TEP so I don't know if that makes a difference.
I just found out my battery was swollen and I decided to purchase an extended battery instead. I'd rather not have to deal with Sprint.
At just over a year I had a swollen battery...took it into a non-corporate store and they wanted 40 bucks for a new one. Made a 10 minute call to sprint and I've got a new one on the way. Even though I am out of warranty the TEP kicked in to cover it. Definitely worth the call if you've got the protection plan.
Ha I have the same problem. My phone started resetting its self every time I would try to use my 3g / wifi if I didn't turn data on it was fine. I checked the battery and it was swollen. Went to a sprint store and they said they were outta batteries and I could try buying one...damn them!!
spent 30 minutes at a sprint store in Philly- I got nothing! Im outside of the 1yr warranty and do have Insurance.
I ended up buying an Anker battery
I just picked up a new one from sprint last night after work they had ordered it on Monday. I didn't have TEP but I still had warranty and they wanted to charge me 35$ but luckily I went in with a friend who also has the same phone and she has insurance so what they did is placed the order under her phone even though it's actually for me and there was no charge at all so I was lucky she came along with me lol.

I don't have one but you can start noticing by taking your battery out and try to put it back in you'll notice when pushing the battery in its not going to be flat it will feel like there's something in between the battery and the phone also the back cover will start to be difficult to put on because of the thickness of the battery.

There is no need to worry, the Li-Ion batteries are made for it.
That's what they at. Even with with the thing about how you should charge your battery fully before you use it in the beginning. I still notice a difference...
No idea what point your making. I love the swappable battery option as well. I just choose to use it differently. Instead of taking my phone apart at work, keeping track of the battery, VA just fast charge the crap out of it. Then when the battery loses noticeable capacity, I'LL CGANGE TO A NEW BATTERY. No, I probably won't, because in the year or more it takes for that to happen, I'll be buying the Note 5.
I do know this, using the touchscreen gradually eats away at the initial brightness. I choose to just use voice commands and keep my screen off at all times. Same thing with my car. I walk to work so I don't wear out my tires. Oh yeah, I walk barefoot, video put my shoes on at work, valves the soles.
Phones don't last forever, but in the time we have this, before it either gets outdated, upgraded, or we get a contract renewal, it will last.

I wouldn't worry about it. Fast charging isn't exactly super new. As others have pointed out you will likely be looking at a new phone before you notice severe enough of an issue
Rather than wait for Samsung to stock their fast charger, I ordered one of these from Amazon, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q0WM8KC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It looks like an inexpensive 3rd party alternative.
Looking at picking up a smart watch, like the round look. So it's either this or the lg r. Only hesitation is the "old" hardware. Do you guys think the old chip can hold up to future updates? Also lg has discontinued the lg r so worried about lack of upgrades there too?
Thanks
I still think we have another year of updates. But if you are worried and willing to pay full price for the device like us early adopters, I'd wait for the second generation 360.
Just got the 5.1.1 update so that is a good thing. The watch is really nice, got mine in April when it dropped to $150 on sale. I think now you can get it for close to $100-$125 on sale. This will be about a third of a cost of the second generation. Will the second generation be better? More than likely, will it be work a couple hundred more? That is the question you will have to answer. The only thing I would like that this watch does not have is stand alone GPS so I could go on a run without my phone and be able to till have Runkeeper track my GPS. The other would be a small speaker that you could use for phone calls.
Bought mine yesterday and returning it today. To heavy, I did have the metal band. Running 5.1.1 and it crashed/rebooted serval times. Did 3 factory resets. Battery would drain from 100 to about mid 80 in about an hour.
Loved the look of the all silver with metal band.
I'll just wait for the next generation in hopes that it will be lighter and better battery life. Really hoping it can be used without having to have my phone but I'm doubting Android wear will be at that point when the 360 2 is released.
So I'm holding out for the second generation.

everytime you reset the watch, it will eat 30-40% in the first couple hours as its doing all the SYNC-ing (thats normal)
since you have had it less than a day, and reset it 3 times, its obvious that you havent had a chance to really use it or let it settle
u should set it up, wait a few hours and fully charge it... and you will see how it will consume 4-6% an hour on a stock watchface and about 5-7% per hr on a fancy watchmaker face
but hey, if you really cant wait and wanna get rid of it, u should sell it to the OP

I am aware that resetting the device will take a toll on the battery percentage as well as syncing. But the watch should not have rebooted on its own 4 times as to why I kept resetting it. I believe the unit that i required to be defective.

I'm trying not to be negative and rude, but you sound like you might not be the person smartwatches were designed for - or you didn't do your homework and made an impulse purchase.
Again, trying not to be rude - but people who make purchases like you and make returns like you did are one of the reasons return, exchange, and warranty conditions are so strict these days.

Allow me to clarify, I agree fully it was defective. I do not agree with you being surprised by the flat tire or the weight, specifically I don't agree with the watch being too heavy - all of my mid-to-high end mechanical watches are two or three times as heavy.

When holding the watch in the store is different than wearing it for hours, that is a personal preference as it was my preference. Flat tire I knew but figure with the right face it wouldn't bother me and started I hope they get rid of it on the next one. There are smart watches that are lighter.
Any ways just wanted to share my thoughts, that is all. Can't wait to see what the next generation will be as the rumors are stating lighter, smaller, better processor and I hope these are all true. And by smaller I hope they mean the thickness....

Moving from an automatic metal band watch to the leather band 360 was like going from a dumbell to a paper sticker... I think overall design is fantastic, as long as it keeps working like it does with 5.1, I'm keeping mine for years to come!
Earlier today my note 7 shut off and refused to turn back on. Left it on charge for two hours and it finally started up and showed me 10% but it was just above 70% before the incident? Should I go and try and get a loaner phone for a week at sprint? I'm really wanting to stick it out for the lg v20 that comes out next week.

I Wonder if it had a fault that resulted in fires on other devices. If the batt voltage dropped that much it must have dumped a lot of energy in a short period of time. Did it get hot? Samsung might be interested but you already returned it.

Ok so good/bad news. I was given the note back because I guess I was never supposed to have an iphone and the manager that gave me it was fired. Since getting it back (theyd had it on charge since 3pm est they told me) it was on 66% whenever I left the sprint store at 6:30pm and here at 7:23pm its at 21%. I'm watching the percentage drop and the phone is really slow. No new apps and nothing new. Idk, it just dropped to 20%. Removed sd card and backed the baby up. Lg v20 shipped out today so not too much longer now.
Is it hot as the % drops off? What is the Batt temp at idle?
Are you able to exchange for the V20? Just do it.
You've paid a lot of money for the Note 7. It's only right you get something that works.
