Help flashing cm12.1 - Galaxy Grand Duos i9082 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

I am trying to flash cm12.1 to my samsung galaxy grand duos, i have installed it before flawlessly. I flashed stock rom (jellybean 4.1.2) and now every time i install cm12.1 and gapps and then reboot the device, it shows the Samsung galaxy grand duos logo but is stuck on that. I have waited for it, in fact i have left it overnight and still was on that screen. I am using cwm, i have formated file system, cleared cache and dalvik cache.

Bro i think According to Installation guide of CM 12.1 No. 2 "If you were on CM 10.1 or a stock ROM prior to 4.2, upgrade to stock 4.2 first." and "Does not work on 4.1 stock ROM's bootloader, please upgrade to stock 4.2 before flashing".
I hope this will work:
1. Download stock firmware (4.2) Here (choose your region)
2. Download Odin 3.0+
3. put your phone into Download Recovery Mode (Volume down + Home + Power)
4. then flash your downloaded stock ROM (4.2) ' Keep in default setting
5. Reboot
6. Install Custom Recovery ( I assumed that your phone is already in the STOCK ROM 4.2)
7. Reboot into Custom Recovery (Volume up + Home + Power)
8. Perform Wipe Data,cache,dalvik
9. Then Flash/Install CM 12.1
10. Flash/install GAPPS
11. Reboot.
DONE!
Don't forget to hit thanks.

So i just basically flash stock 4.2.2 and then flash cm12.1 with gapps?
ill try it in a few minutes ^_^

Of course it will still be stuck, you didn't clean the mess in your /system folder. ) You now have 2.3.6 and 4.1 having wild fun over there.
So, I assume, at this point, you have the stock ROM, with the stock recovery. So, what I suggest is that you read the little tutorial below and follow it exactly as it was written.
1. Download CWM for Samsung Galaxy Wonder from here. (It's also available in the development section here.)
2. Flash it via ODIN, by following exactly the same steps as for the ROM flashing.
3. Enter CWM and:
clear data (factory reset)
clear dalvik cache (under "advanced" menu)
go back one step and under "mounts & storage menu -> select "format /system" option. This step is crucial for a clean install!! Especially when changing Android versions.
under the same menu, go ahead and format /sdcard. (Be careful NOT to format /external_sd !)
At this point, you can choose if you want to flash the Samsung stock ROM again via ODIN or flash CM10 again (If you choose to flash CM10, I would suggest the latest version).
Now, if you want to reinstall the stock ROM:
4. exit from there and put your phone into Download Mode again (Home button + Volume DOWN + Power Button).
5. flash the stock ROM via ODIN
If you want to reinstall CM10:
4. go back to the main screen in CWM
5. go to "install zip from sdcard"
6. browse to the location of your CM ROM and flash it
7. flash the correct Gapps for your ROM
8. reboot
That's all. Good luck!
just wanna add one more thing in the end, if u wanna re install cm10 then install the alpha7 version so u can apply the combined mod which will work only on cm10 alpha7

Arc S, CM 10.1, Black screen

Tried to flash CM 10.1 & now I got blackscreen at rebooting. I can fix it by flashing old firmware, but I want CM 10.1 on my phone.
1. Bootloader unlocked
2. Rooted phone
3. flash boot.img from CM 10.1 zip file using flashtool
4. reboot -> blackscreen no reaction
Can anyone help?
Hmm, try to reflash kernel and enter cwm. In there wipe cache, dalvik and format system.
Then install the rom zip
Reboot
Sent from my Xperia Arc S using xda premium
I dont even can start recovery mode. I flash kernel by boot.ini from CM 10.1 zip, reboot, nothing happens just blackscreen.
Anyone ideas?
Shutdown phone.
Press back.
Connect it to the pc.
Check if Flashtool detects it in flashmode.

You need to enter the Recovery and install the CM's .zip file from it.

but be aware that that recovery cannot be cleanly restored at this time.
The custom recovery is still very valuable - for installing CM11, and for getting ADB access to the device in recovery mode.
But a restore will need to be accompanied by a factory reset to get the stock OS to boot again, or an Odin reflash of the stock image. My take on it is that the android_secure files cannot be backed up by CWM as of now.
Anyone planning on flashing a ROM might consider downloading the stock image for their device before they start, IMO.

Please Help

I installed TWRP recovery but when I factory reset / wipe data, dalvik, data, system it doesn't format the system
You can try another recovery through odin, if it fails flash stock rom through odin. Make sure you flash one which is as least as new bootloader. Then start from square one.
Witch version of TWRP do you use ?
To do full wipe I use Zoot Wipe script, but be careful it remove everything :
