Hey can i service my microphone at Sony service centre with UB and rooted custom rom?
Yup. But they're gonna charge you cuz they won't entertain any warranty claims by you.

Hello,
Anybody knows how can I check if phone is under warranty or not? I'm on company sponsored account so I don't have access to online tool, all I have in my possesion is phone itself. Is there any tool or something which based on IMEI of the phone will find this information?
Thanks,
G
The phone has a 1 year factory/samsung warranty for sure and phone isn't a year old yet so you have that at least...

hey, im in the same situation as you, i have an account with a Corporate and didn't get the phone from Telus but from a dealership that is in Montreal, and i was wondering the same thing. You have one (1) warranty on the phone and you can check the status on Samsung site and register your phone to see the Warranty status.
hope this helps... i'm unfortunately without my phone since i HARD BRICK it. lol and its now at Samsung at this moment and will know soon if they fix it or not. lol
May sound too simple, but call your provider and ask.

Phones are not even a two months old! Of course the are still under warranty. Unless you have water damage... then you dont have warranty... ....... ............................... ... k bai.
I called ATT to ask about warranty and was told that they have no responsibity because I am using my phone on Straight Talk. Samsung has the one year warranty I guess.
If I was using it on ATT they I guess they would take care of it?

Pretty much. One of the downsides of using a prepaid service is having to go through the manufacturer, or having to buy a 3rd party warranty like Squaretrade. On the other hand, you're paying $45/month, so no complaining allowed.
My one x screen is dead and black. Touch controls and radios work fine. The local HTC authorized service center says that the problem is with the handset and it needs to be replaced. But they don't process the warranty of the handset which is not bought from them. I need it to send it internationally so if anyone knows where to send it. I am from Pakistan.
My galaxy nexus (gsm version) is having issue with USB charging. It was bought from US play store and still under warranty. I live in India (gnex was not lunched here) so I can't get it repaired. I am traveling to SanJose next week so I can try to get it repaired in US. Should I need to take it to Samsung service center or Google ? Do you know if there is any in SanJose and nearby area ?
I believe I will have to unroot my phone and lock the boot loader to claim the warranty

Can you please tell me what will be the charges for motherboard replacement ?? And as my cellphone is in warranty... services centre in Pakistan told me they don't claim warranty in Pakistan so if I replace my motherboard here will it have any effect on my warranty afterwards?? I mean will it be cancelled???

well since its a Samsung motherboard fault so u dont need to pay for it rather make a online complain to Samsung stating the same as it changed free of cost as Samsung provides 1 year manufacturer warranty or a new one will cost a lot around 180 to 220 dollars .my suggestion to you shoot a mail to Samsung official with your invoice attached and ask them for the replacement orelse people will stop buying **** from Samsung if they don't rectify their manufacturing defects

Hello , When you send a lg phone for service with issue in motherboard(aka bootloop issue) and they replace it.Service guys associate the new imei and serial number with the old ones ? So if 2 year warranty is over but the new mainboard is much newer, in case of another issue ,for example screen flickering, could we send to it another service center and just don't tell them that the mainboard is replaced?

If im not mistaken it should be from the time they send it back the waranty should basicly be reset. Again if im not mistaken
There have been users send there g4 in multiple times over the last couple years. And ive never heard anyone complain of that.
To make things more clear,
Does service keep record globally to lg the mainboard replacement? So can I claim warranty for screen if passed 2 years from the day I bought it but the replaced mainboard serial number says that I have warranty till August of 2018?Maybe somewhere else from the service shop where I sent it for the bootloop issue because they will not know that mainboard is replaced.
Thanks.

Ill thank that response. That is a very good ? I would like to know that myself.
I was always under the assumption tbat yes any time u send a device in on a waranty and a poce with any kind of serial nums gets replaced the new serial is the new waranty date. I dont think the old imeis are any good any more as people with locked bootloader try to use old unlock bins. Have to update theyre device id and imei with lgs unlock site as their old ones arent reconized any more after mb replacement.

No. Your warranty will not extend to "forever" (if we assume you have a repair once a year.. ) or being reset just because something get replaced. I can speak for Europe only but I don't believe that any other country will do it different. Normally all vendors record the device warranty globally because if not they would loose many money. I say I don't believe but only LG knows for sure.
The bootloop issue is another story. This gets even repaired when outside of warranty e.g. in the USA due to the signed law suit. That's why this is not an issue for the most people.
