For some reason Toolkit didnt work for me and i used this method to unlock bootloaders and root it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362957
Also installed CWM recovery
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I installed my drivers and 1st time when I connected my phone in adb toolkit recognised it and showed his id. Next time when I connected it in adb it didnt recognise it in toolkit but windows recognise my phone and i can access it.
I've rebooted my pc every time and reinstalled couple of drivers:
-Naked samsung drivers
-Pda drivers
-Samsung_USB_Driver_for_Moblie_Phones_v1_4_6_0
Nothing worked.
1st time I used Samsung_USB_Driver_for_Moblie_Phones_v1_4_6_0 and i tried again and nothing.
I am on Windows 7 64bit version.
If anyone knows how to solve this please share the idea.

I was facing lot of driver issues when connecting my GNex for the first time to the laptop on WinXP. Installing the drivers through the GNex Toolkit also did not work for me.
Finally what worked for me was, installing the latest version of Android SDK with the additional package of Google USB drivers, and then manually selecting the drivers after connecting my phone instead of asking Windows to look for drivers automatically.
I had trouble when first connecting my GNex too. However, these drivers worked for me (plus work with many many other android devices):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1379875
If you have several android devices you'll find that you don't have to install multiple drivers for adb, fastboot, etc. for each of the devices.
Taken from post#3 of the ToolKit thread:
Note 1: If the driver doesnt install automatically then double click on the Android 1.0 item, then click on the driver tab and select 'update driver'. Select 'browse my computer' and then 'Let me pick from a list'. If no items appear in the list then untick 'Show compatible hardware' and find the Android adb driver or Samsung adb driver.
Try that as they may be on your pc and just not installing.
Mark.
Got them working now but i have problem when rooting, using GNex toolkit 5.6
It boots into android, i set usb debugging but when the phone is suppose to boot back to fastboot it gives error device not connected.
hey everyone,
first of all this is my first post and im new to this so please bear with me
I just bought a T-Mobile SGH-T889 Samsung Galaxy Note II running on Android 4.1.1 with build # JRO03C.T889UVALJ1
I am having some troubles connecting my phone to my computer via the the included usb cable
whenever I connect try to connect my phone to the computer, it would search for updates to install drivers but it would always say that the driver software was not installed due to no drivers found. from what I understand, they should be Samsung drivers but for some reason, mine says:
Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM X No driver found
Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM X No driver found
I did several searches on the forums but have yet to find a solution or driver for my phone. please help!
I have looked into this thread but the driver provided for the root kit is for Samsung V 1.5.9.0
Thanks!
Welcome to the forum!
I'd say to try uninstalling any Samsung drivers from your pc, then restart it. Go to the Samsung site and download the latest USB drivers. The ones provided in the kit usually work, and I'm not sure the ones on the site are any newer.
Once that is done, if you are still having problems, try a different USB cable.

I had similar issues all I did was Change to another USB port.
Also I did a complete shutdown of the PC & phone not just a reboot.
thanks for the quick replies
I have tried several times or rebooting both the phone and the computer after installing the drivers but to no avail...
I have also tried changing to all the different usb ports on my computer but still no luck
I will try to find another cable in the house to see if that will work.
Will the samsung usb drivers work though? because i have tried those several times, the ones from the root kit as well as the ones from the samsung website but it still doesnt detect it. Are there qualcomm drivers available?
some other information that I forgot to mention earlier, I am running Windows 7 64-bit
sometimes when I connect the phone to the pc, it would load up this driver --> Qualcomm HS-USB Modem 9004 Driver
but then when i disconnect it, it wont detect it again...
a solution im thinking is maybe i should reset the phone to factory default settings? would that help?
For whatever reason, your pc is not recognizing the phone correctly. Can I ask, have you installed drivers for another phone on that pc in the past? What flavor of Windows are you running? Are you up-to-date? Have you tried disabling your firewall temporarily? Finally, try booting up in safe-mode and connecting the phone. That should let you see what it thinks your phone is when no drivers are installed.

I had a Blackberry before but I had already removed all the software and drivers for it before getting the note 2 and I am currently running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and they are up to date. I will try disabling my firewall and safe mode once i get home.
I re-read the tool-kit instructions and noticed i missed something. Am I supposed to put the phone into download or recovery mode before connecting the USB to the computer (after installing the USB drivers)?
I will have to try that once i get home as well... but I still dont understand why it shows up as qualcomm drivers instead of Samsung drivers
anyways thanks for the suggestions I will let you know how it turns out.
This problem is likely due to Samsung's USB cable, as noted in other threads.
Change the usb cable before trying anything else....
ok so i got the drivers to install finally...what i did was boot the phone in to download mode then connect the phone to my computer via usb cable and it worked...but for some reason it doesnt detect it when i launch the rootkit it does not detect my serial number
If i restart my phone normally, and then try to detect the phone again on the computer it will not detect it and goes back to saying the qualcomm CDMA technologies MSM is missing drivers again...
So the only way for it to detect the drivers is in download mode but i cant seem to get the rootkit to detect my phones serial number

EDIT: another question...so once i have the drivers installed, am i supposed to reboot the phone back normally (not download mode) for it to detect the serial number?
Whenever I plug in my phone, the computer won't recognize MTP, but it will recognize PTP. I have installed the LG Driver, but when I check the device manager it says code 28 and no driver installed. I tried to install the Google driver, but that doesn't work neither.
Here is a thread with a similar problem but with no solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2454940&highlight=mtp

Tried it. Doesn't work, but thanks.
Found the solution.
1. delete every driver that's related to LGOG by going to device manager
2. install LG united driver: http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-LS970
2. follow this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130399
3. go to device manager and search for other devices and find MTP
4. update the driver by the list of driver installed on your computer
5. find LGE Android MTP Device under portable device
6. restart your computer
This worked for me but might not work for you.
I have recently root my samsung tab pro 8.4 wifi version. Everything seems to work well, except USB connection to my windows7 desktop. I installed the latest version of Samsung usb driver (download from Samsung's web site for my device). Whenever I connect it, media device mode, the "installing device driver software" icon spins for couple of minutes, then I got the error of "Device driver software was not successfully installed" . In the detail dialog window, it says "MTP USB Device" failed with a red cross. what did I do wrong? thanks.
I have tried several different USB 2 ports on my computers. Also I have Developer mode turned on, with or w/o USB debugging checked. Nothing seems to work. Also the camera mode doesn't work either.
Did you install kies 3 from samsung?, this should install all the drivers you need.
http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/
I tried with this version of kies from samsung's website, not working. Got the same failed to install device driver message.
In windows device mananger, it shows a MTP USB device with yellow "!" mark on it. If I try to update driver from here with the driver installed on my computer, it says I have the latest driver installed already.

Try going to Device Manager in Windows, find the device, pick the option to select from the drivers on the computer, then pick the "USB MTP drivers" (generic, not Samsung) and see if that helps.

thanks for your help. I tried your suggestion, and
I went to the Device Manager, and select the "MTP USB Device" with yellow "!" mark, choose this menu,
Update driver software->Browse my computer for driver software->let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
I see two drivers, however either works for my 8.4 pad. It says "This device cannot start (code 10)"
Also when I open the properties for this device in device manager, it shows its driver running is from Microsoft, driver version 6.1.7600.16385. Should be a driver from Samsung?

Are you running stock TouchWiz ROM? Just to be sure.
Otherwise you could remove all your USB drivers related to Android and start from scratch with just the Sammy driver. I had to do that for my previous OnePlus One, it just wouldn't connect. It chose a wrong driver each time I hooked it up so I had to just remove those from the driver store and then make it choose another one. That was for ADB thought, but I guess it couldn't hurt to try anyways.
The reason I'm mentioning if you're on stock ROM is because this morning, on CM nightly 01-24 I had some troubles with my tablet being read by Windows, it was fixed in 26 so.. Just wanted to mention it.

Yes, I am on the stock TouchWiz ROM, but I rooted it following steps from one thread in this forum. Before rooting, I was able to connect. I do have a LG G3 phone connecting to the same computer successfully. Will this cause any problem? Will going to CM ROM solve my problem?
Also, can you tell me steps to remove all my USB drivers related to Android in Windows 7?

It may work to install CM11 or CM12, BUT try this toolfirst (uploaded to my personal box account) Find all your mobile device drivers in this list and mark them and go to "File" and click "Uninstall marked drivers", restart your PC and plug in your tablet. Then try plugging in LG after so it gets drivers later. I'm not sure if it will work. But it should apply new drivers. If it doesn't work, uninstall the drivers one more time and download the Samsung drivers from 3rd party and install them and apply then manually to your tablet through Device Manager in Windows.

Anyways, try this first.

Its always a possibility. I'd try to uninstall the LG drivers. You can always re-install later (if needed).
In a perfect world, the Sammy drivers would be what you want. But this is of course not a perfect world. I've had better luck using the "generic" Microsoft MTP USB drivers over the HTC drivers on my HTC devices.

I download this tool, and remove all Samsung or Android related USB driver. Restart my computer and connect the pad it's not working. Then I uninstall the Samsung driver software, and all USB driver. Then restart and install a samsung driver from the thread about how to root my pad in this forum. Connect my pad, no luck. Still the same problem. I am about to give up.

Just before I about to give it up, it connects to my another computer now, which is my main computer and it had trouble connecting to. All I did was restart my pad several time and odin twrp recovery to it. It connects after rebooting. No idea what cause this problem, but it works now. thank you for all your help.

Glad you sorted it out, to some degree or other.
USB connectivity on Android devices is very tricky, at least on Windows (can't speak on other OSes). My HTC phone connects fine to my work laptop with the HTC drivers. On my home computer (also Win7) it frequently drops adb connection and I have to manually select the "generic" Microsoft drivers to make it work (and the HTC drivers never seemed to work completely right either). My Sammy Pro 8.4 seems to connect just fine to my home PC, however. So it seems its just a crap shoot what kind of connectivity you will get, really.
Hi
ADK is working fine with my other devices, but my PC can't seem to install the drivers for Huawei Watch. The devices is in the device manager, but a little yellow triangle at the side, which means the device drivers are not installed.
I have tried Google, but the guides just say install the devices drivers but clicking update in Device manager with the xx file I downloaded, but windows can't see the file.
Thanks in advance
only pdanet drivers works for me for adb but in twrp i cannot connect to pc . how have you solved the issue i have same problem in device manager. tried more than 6 ways after googling pc
i've tried pdanet drivers 64bit on my win7 64bit version.
but the installation cannot continue.. did u success installing pdanet ? what version of your windows u have ?
why is this marked as solved because i dont see the solution. i just received my watch today and cant seem to get device manager to recognize any drivers.
PDAnet doesnt fully install because i cant install drivers
Minimal ADB and fastboot dont recognize any devices attached
Universal Naked driver 0.73 doesnt work even after modifying the android_winusb file
I even installed the Google USB driver from the SDK Manager, but i dont see anything on my machine.
ive had this watch for 2 hours and already frustrated as hell lol. can someone provide assistance?
thanks!
PS. im running this on Windows 7 64 bit and the watch is at LCB43B already
same problem with me.. attaching usb cable into charger dock, detect huawei watch in device manager but drivers cannot be installed..

i was trying all day on my work computer which runs windows 7 x64 with no luck, but the watch was detected immediately on my windows 10 machine at home. strange.
Success!
I fixed my issue! I had the same issue everyone here mostly had. I could unlock the bootloader, but I couldn't get the Fastboot recovery to work because the drivers were not detected by Windows 10, or my other Windows 7 machine. Both machines installed a standard version of Google Android device drivers and boot loader drivers, but they were not detected by ADB commands once in the bootloader.
First I went here to download all the drivers, but got stuck:
http://www.thecountrycaller.com/37260-how-to-unlock-huawei-watch-bootloader-and-flash-twrp-recovery/
So what I did was ran the commands to reboot to bootloader, then flash commands for the recovery, left my device plugged in. Then I went into the Windows Device manager, and looked for the Android or Adb drivers loaded. I double clicked the driver, and clicked on uninstall driver, and told windows to delete the drivers. I then unplugged my device (still in bootloader mode), plugged it back and in windows instantly detected the ADB flash commands and boom, TWRP recovery completed.
Hope this helps some of you.
this did not solve my issue ive installed the drivers and nothing over and over can someone help me with the drivers please
thanks
running windows 7
tried to install every driver possible
Weird as it may be, I managed to get Hwatch to connect to ADB via USB by installing the watch as a Motorola Android Sooner Composite ADB Interface - in device manager-update driver-select from PC-select from device list-android usb device-motorola
Is there anything what i can do when my classic watch is NOT recognized on both pc and notebook? I hear no sound, i canĀ“t see anything in device manager...any help?
Hi I`m using the huawei 2 LTE version - can I take the same driven from here or will that cause problems ?
