Is anyone else having issues with the date created/modified of photos taken on the G4? Whenever I view the pictures from my PC, the date created/modified is about 8 hours off. However, when I look at the photo details from the G4, it displays the correct date and time. Hopefully I'm just missing a setting or something. Any help is appreciated. thanks

Hello,
I test my Defy few days. Today I found first problem. I was looking at photos taken with Defy on my PC and I noticed really strong jpg compression. I went through Camera Settings and I couldn't find any option to change photo quality. What's strange this option is probably available for US users, anyway it's mentioned in manual: img683.imageshack.us/img683/7946/missingquality.jpg
In my setting I can see:
Picture Resolution
Video Resolution
Quick upload album
Exposure
Preview Time
Capture Tone
That's all. Advanced Settings menu is missing. Could you help me solve this problem?
It affect photos very strong. It's easy to find jpg arifacts at photos, sharpness is also spoiled by it.
Average size of 5MP photo from Defy is 350kB while average photo from 6MP Nikon D50 is 2.5MB
so it shows how strong is compression.
Regards
Well, we are all in the same boat, it seems. I have a T-Mobile branded USA model and these settings are absent as well.
Speaking of bugs, and there are many, the one that really irritates me is that even though network data is turned off (and WiFi is set to on and preferred), upon reboot the phone still activates network data, i.e. it ignores the setting. Every time I reboot the setting needs to be toggled on and off for it to be off.
Very frustrating, I had a client text me a couple of pictures, and they came through perfectly in the stock text app. But there is an issue, can't save the pic. On my other Android phones I could long press picture and save to gallery, or even have the option to forward the pic.
Nothing happens when I press the picture, no options at all.
Any opinions on what's the issue ?
Sprint Galaxy S2 w/ Calk's 1.5a + ICS 1.6
Today it allowed me to long press the picture and gave option to "forward". I forwarded the picture text to my vendor over an hour ago, still says "sending..." under the pic.
And also having an issue e-mailing myself attachments or pics. I e-mailed a pic I took last week, to my work e-mail, I sent it over half hour ago, still not showing up, WTF ?
I've finally reached a point where my gallery issues are driving me nuts. Google makes it seem like I'm the only person in the world with this issue to top it off. The issue I am experiencing is that pictures that I download from the internet go wherever they want in my gallery. For instance (its not every time, but too often), if I download a picture (that contains no exif data) from a website, instead of showing up in "all downloads", it goes into "camera shots" album. Then within camera shots, the actual pictures taken with the phone camera start way in the middle of the album, which is annoying if you have over 1000+ photos. There seems to be no way to order the pictures there by time/date that I have found.
Then comes the issue when I swipe over to timeline. Changing the order there makes no difference to the display of pictures. If I set it to month, the first picture might show Nov or it might show the current month of July. Change it to day, etc, same thing. A picture I've just taken or downloaded might be at the bottom of the timeline or in the middle despite the setting.
I don't want to believe that such things were overlooked during testing by HTC or either Tmo, but it seems like that. Could I indeed be alone in experiencing this, or is there something I am overlooking in the settings?
This is something about the G4 that I battle with CONSTANTLY. Whenever I upload a picture to Photobucket, Facebook, etc, whether I'm uploading directly from the phone or plugged in via USB, it will NEVER let me do more than one picture at once. Loading up 20+ pictures one at a time is time consuming and horribly inconvenient. Is anyone else's phone doing this and how do you get around it if there's a setting I can adjust?
No one else with this problem?
No one else with this issue?
I'd call this as service or app dependent and not an issue of the phone, do you? Most apps don't have the ability to upload more than one picture. Did you try to mark multiple images at once and upload them via the share-button? Could be the problemsolver for you.
Actually that's exactly it! I've had a Samsung and there you could just tap on multiple images when long pressing on one to share them. With an LG G4 you have to FIRST click on the share button in the upper right and THEN mark all the images you want to share. Pretty easy imho
Hey, I received August security patch today and I noticed that pictures taken in night mode are taking more size, they have more detail and that's good, but there's more noise than before. Pictures taken in Auto still don't have noise though.
Did someone notice this? I have the S9 exynos model.
Most of the photos taken with night mode still look very noisy in darker scenarios, october security patch installed.
Does anyone have this issue?
Same here, night mode suxs.
What I noticed is that night mode only performs well on its initial release. Its quality was easy better than in normal photo mode. However, after few updates, night mode sucks already. Now I prefer normal photo mode especially when hdr kicks in. Night mode, in its initial release have a really good light management, giving a better dynamic range

Yes, I hope samsung will fix this issue soon.
I reported the problem at samsung members and they told me to reset my device settings. But I already had reset the camera settings so resetting other settings won't change anything...
Edit: I just asked an agent in a live chat and he told me to send the bug report with some pictures to show the issue so samsung can fix it as soon as possible. Let's hope they will listen to us.
I reported the bug and they told me to reset connection settings for whatever reason. I asked the agent again and he told me that this hasn't anything to do with the camera. So he told me to reset my device's settings. I told him that it's a software issue because everyone I asked is facing the same problem so he told me to wait for the android 10 update. Seems like it's going to launch soon
I upgraded to november security patch yesterday, the noise seems to happen less often than before, but the highlights are still blown and the photo isn't clean in lower light, it's soft and it has a weird noise in it. And sometimes I got some flaring around the lights. There's a lot of inconsistency in this mode.
How can we tell Samsung to fix this issue?
Agents in live chat just keep telling me to reset settings or wait for the next update.
Well image quality is sure to degrade when taking photos in poor-lighting conditions. The camera compensates for this by raising the ISO level, but this has the unwanted of effect of creating a muddy looking picture.

With june and july updates I was able to take perfect night photos even in darker scenarios. But after august update the photos are much worse.
Look at the pics below, you can see how the ones one the left (june and july updates) are clean and the ones on the right (after august update) are just noisy and not as sharp.

True it seems the new update has messed up the photos.

I sent a bug report again and they told me that they shared my feedback with the concerned department to solve the issue in the next updates. Let's hope they will really solve it...
