Seeing if anyone has experience with this. Selling my incredible 2 on eBay within US only via PayPal payment. When I looked up selling to other countries I saw a bunch of complaints that buyers were scaming by receiving the phone and then filing no receipt claim with PayPal and getting their money back completely screwing the seller. This was even with delivery confirmation, but not signature verification. This made me cautious still for a US sale.
So question is- should I only ship via UPS or fedex with a mandatory "Signature Verification" when shipping a phone valued at $200-250? More Costly shipping To prevent a charge back scam..
Thanks for any insight!

1. Ensure Good feedback
2. Ensure you are seller protected
3. Ensure you make a note of the IMEI/Serial in case you need to get it barred (not sure if it will bar it internationally but worth doing still)
4. Package the item taking photographs at every stage, so in case there is a claim, you have proof you packed it
5. Post via signed and tracked delivery with the relevant amount of insurance for the package! (don't skimp on this or you'll get done over by paypal in case of a dispute)
6. What ever you do, don't lost the receipt and tracking number!
Hope that helps
My Samsung vibrant auction is ending today and i made sure I wrote " no international shipping".. also, NEVER ship the product until you receive the money on your PayPal account by going to there website, don't look at just the emails because people fake those... Mike is selling for 220.. I will ship with USPS priority with a signature confirmation...
I have only used USPS without any issues. And you can fill out and print the mailing label from within Ebay.
Why did you post this topic twice in two different forums
Sent by me, for me and i love you
hi first post here
i purchased phone from htc uk a week ago direct but i wont to get a refund as its faulty yellow screen and non responsive home button
htc uk are dreadful i have phoned and got through to a person who didnt speak any english
i set up a return online but i have received about 3 different address to send it back to :S
i payed with paypal so email digital river who the paypal payment is addressed to but they replied saying they dont handle the refunds:s
so i have now set up a paypal dispute/claim i think ive gone about this the right way?
this is worse then one plus support they where brilliant in comparison
anyone had a similar experience thanks
Yes I had the same experience telling me different addresses I would have hoped they had got it sorted for other people since my fiasco. It's an absolute shambles. Mine wasn't faulty so I ended up selling it privately instead.
Amazon is issuing refunds for some Galaxy Note 7 accessories
http://www.theverge.com/2016/10/12/13262538/samsung-galaxy-note-7-amazon-accessory-refunds
So I just got of the phone with amazon and although you are outside the return period they will give refunds once they have received the products back. So when you contact Amazon choose the "phone call" option as the means to communicate with amazon on the returns.
I did this and they were very helpful. The biggest PITA part was having to box everything up individually based on how it was ordered but free ship back and refunds coming.
When I referenced the Note 7 recall they knew immediately what I was talking about so +1 for Amazon customer service
I did have a rather difficult time finding an actual phone number to call as they want to solve the worlds issues via chat or FAQs.
Here is what I used if anyone else wants it
1-888-280-4331
I used the chat feature and they set up individual returns for each item. I asked to be able to put them all together in one box but it had to be separate.
I realized that they were charging shipping. The rep said he would adjust the refund to credit the shipping fee back as well.

Same here. I have to pay $5 - $6 to refund a $10 case. Not worth the trouble

I got the $2 credit for a case, but one online chat changed all my returns to refund all the shipping.
The trouble was minimal. Print a label, drop the item in an envelope and drop it off.
They sent me prepaid labels. I was told to put all items (4 separate returns in one box) Put 4 separate labels on the box drop off at a USP location. I am doing that today, I will follow up when I get my credits.
Here's what I did.
1)Ask for the labels, explain that these are N7 items and it was out of your control
2) Ship them
3)You'll see that you're charged $6 for shipping
4)Chat with customer service after and ask them refund the shipping charges.
4) They will say yes and you'll get confirmation.
QED.
Wow, this is great to know. Thank you guys. I purchased a glass screen protector that broke trying to get off the phone and I threw it away, I'll probably be out of luck with that one, but maybe I'll ask them about it.
Samsung is going to let me keep the accessories and refund my money. I bought the led case and the clear case from the Samsung website with a coupon I had.
I will most likely sell both cases as a bundle on ebay or craiglist for cheap.
I'm looking for anyone who can help me out with any photo's or proof of their $100 playstore credits from Bell. I preordered the Pixel XL on October 6th, received the phone October 24th, and should have received my credit by October 25th, it's now the 30th and I have received nothing, I've been on the phone with Bell countless times, I've been in store twice, and been in contact with google twice with no avail.
Bell keeps trying to tell me this promotion doesn't exist and they don't show anything about it and that I need to take it up with Google. Google tells me I bought the phone with Bell so the preorder offer is to only be fulfilled with Bell.
It's an endless loop that I've been suffering through for the last 7 hours and I'm looking for any proof of this offer so I can send it to them or possibly lawyers because they seems to be trying to hide their ass and playing it off like nothing like this existed. The only information I can now find on this offer is on MobileSyrup with a list of the offers that were listed for preorders.
Since the phone was released, all carriers have now charged their preorder pages so not show the preorder offers (obviously, because the preorders can no longer be preordered)
Rogers was offering a free chromecast and a $50 playstore credit, Bell and Telus were both offering $100 playstore credits, and Google directly was offering a free Daydreamer VR voucher for when it's released.
So please, any help on this, confirmations from Bell texts showing you received a code, pictures of the preorder offer proving there was a $100 playstore credit offered, emails or sms showing proof of this offer, screen shots of their webpage, anything because they're trying to screw me out of this and if I had known this was going to be such a pain in the ass to get my $100 credit I would have just bought it from Google and got a VR voucher instead.

The free VR was only available in the US.
Okay well Google told me the only offer they had was for a free VR with preorder, that was when I talked to them earlier today so maybe the person I was speaking with from Google didn't know what was a US offer only, regardless, this is mainly to figure out the Bell preorder offer and according to the local Bell location here, there was 15 preorders at that store and I'm the only person who has come back to say they didn't receive the playstore credit, the local Bell employees are also aware of this offer and have told me that I should have received a text within 24 hours of activating the phone before the 24th and within 48 hours after activating the phone after the 24th, which I activated on the 24th at 8:11pm EST, I still haven't received anything and Bell actually just called me back right now saying they were so and so supervisor who is over looking this issue and she's flat out telling me this doesn't exist and they have never offered this deal. They are flat out lying, I saw it on their website for preorders, and on mobile syrup.com they also quote the identical offers I saw and that's the only source I can find to confirm this was a real offer.
The lady that also called me just now was extremely rude trying to tell me I had to fill out some magical three forums to get the voucher that she previously told me doesn't exist and that I didn't fill them out right which is why I didn't get the preorder, yet I have a receipt and preorder number confirming I do in fact have a preorder about this and have emails to thank me for preordering a Pixel XL with Bell.
Any information from any websites, the more information I have, the more I can prove this offer was real because Bell is flat out lying by telling me this offer does not exist, and within the same call they then told me I didn't fill out the forum for this offer correctly, the offer they just told me doesn't exist.. so something fishy is going on, I've also recorded all calls I've made today as proof because they're trying to pull some sneaky crap right now and I don't trust them at all anymore.
This is the link that quotes the exact sales Bell advertised on their website however white/silver one was only for the pixel in 32gb and 128gb was only offered for the pixel xl and the pixel xl was only offered in black.
At the time of pre-order the 128gb model said sold out so I was never given an option for the xl, only black 32gb at the local bell store.
http://mobilesyrup.com/2016/10/04/h...ing-for-google-pixel-and-pixel-xl-pre-orders/
However, as the phone is now released, Bell changed their website because the "pre-order offer" is no longer in effect since it's been released so that link now brings you to the normal order page for the pixel, which is why Bell is now telling me that offer never existed and I'm apparently making it up and there's a magical form that she hung up on me when I asked her what forum it is so I can ask the local store what forum this is for the preorder to make sure it was filled out and that's how I got my pre-order receipt.
I had the exact same issue. Also got it from Bell with a preorder. I made sure to ask the rep when I ordered about the promotion and she told me I would receive a text message with the code on Oct 25. Long story short...received no such message. Called Bell...they pushed me off to Google. Google pushed me back to Bell. I called Bell again and they acted like I was making it up. I referenced their site had said it but how now changed...I told them about a Mobil Syrup Tech site that still mentioned it and even brought up Rogers having a promotion to...but instead of $100 Google Play Credit...with Rogers it was $50 and a free Chromecast. They eventually agreed to give me a $100 plus tax bill credit instead. I accepted this and then got a $115 credit on my bill. Good luck. Bell is trying to screw us and the fact that they gave me the bill credit made me believe they knew they had done wrong. Wonder how many others they've screwed this way.
Bell phone me again just now and it was someone higher up telling me they're sorry for the issues of me having to call them 6 times today so they did the identical thing, $107.98 bill credit on my next bill so we'll see if it was actually applied on November 7th.
This is pretty shady of them, next promotion I'm taking pictures of all evidence that it actually existed before ever applying for it. Live and let learn that no company can apparently be trusted.
Glad I'm not the only one though. Hopefully they make amends on this and start actually giving out the credit they promised customers.

Here I went with Play store directly instead of Bell and I got nothing at all.
Google was offering 2 month of Google music with the pixel but I didn't get it because I had a Google music trial in the last year...
I wish I would've been with Bell.
Like many i tried to purchase P6P via Google through klarna ,as we know klarna got it wrong and only approved credit for less than the price of the phone and so no one who would got the finance could purchase it. In the end I got it via Currys and I contacted klana to cancel my contract and remove it from my credit record. They have done this and now sent me an email with a £20 Amazon voucher as a way of apology....so check your emails.
yea got the same email however i havent asked to cancel the account with them yet. I was about to buy some earbuds on amazon so the £20 will be of use.
Same here. I bought out right in the end from Google but the whole thing was a bit of a joke. £20 voucher anyway and account still open so far. Not sure what if everything the situation has in credit score.

My email stated the credit check would be removed from the records by the end of the year so it shouldn't have any bearing on your credit score.
