My canvas 4 is rooted using framaroot. Sometimes some games like clash of clans, candy crush, subway surfer automatically get uninstalled without my knowledge. I don't know how. I do use xmodgames. Is it because of that? Or because I have many apps installed? But other apps like Amazon, flipkart too get uninstalled. After installing many apps also too much free memory is there. Can anyone help me.? I don't use memory card. It has got 1gb inbuilt memory. Sometimes apps get uninstalled when I restart mobile and sometime without restarting also.

this never happened with my canvas 4. Im also using a rooted Stock firmware. Check for viruses thats all i can say.
I have a doubt that inbuilt SD card may have got faulty. Is there any solution for it if such thing has happened.?

do you have a memory card in your phone they come with a 4 GB card i have around 50 apps and about 40 books and still have 3.6GB on the card and 50% of my phone memory see if your card is in right
Homerun 3d takes 20mb anyway, pretty big.
Also if you were installing the apps while the phone was connected to the PC it may have dismounted your SD card and installed everything on the phone memory?? Just a guess.
my memory card is in right i did have 48mb free installed asphalt 5 and idracula didnt like them unistalled them now i only have 20mb so strange desire need to get rooted asap

Can you share with us how do you manage to install apps on sdcard ?
the phone is superb much better than iphone imho but just makes me angry having to factory reset every time i run out off memory hopefully gets sorted soon
Yea okay this is really annoying me now, i barely have any apps on my device besides google maps, facebook, aircontrol etc all under a couple of mb. I install raging thunder 2 which takes up more than 20mb of my internal storage and that's it, don't have room for anything else. This is REALLY stupid.
It is a massive issue for me as its a really great device, but you can only install a few apps at a time??? WTF????
It would be nice to install more than 1 3d game......
I noticed the same thing as the guys above. Can someone tell us how to install the APPs on the SD card that's in the phone??
From what I understand, apps2sd requires root access, which requires a root ;-)
funny or not, but i had more free mem to install aps on my old nokia e50 phone and all this talk about this issue here or basically on the net, it's just bad pr for google/andorid platform.
it's a lame limitation that at the end will be removed by google itself or by rooting the phone.
and for now... install astro file manager and backup unused apps on sd card. thanks to that you can have some apps installed in phone memory, ready for quick use, and many more backed up on sd card available with few clicks.

Maybe a mass android users petition or something to google?
seems to me the only major downfall of this otherwise amazing device
Hi,
I've been using CM9beta2 on my Wonder for a while.
Now my phone it's starting to get too laggy so I'm trying to free up as much RAM as possible (having around 50MB available doesn't seem enough!).
However, many apps are always running, even though I disabled everything I could in the settings.
For example, google maps keeps regularly eating 5-10MB RAM, sometimes google Play too, etc...
Is there a way to keep apps out of RAM?
How do you do it?
The only solution I find otherwise, is to get the apk, and install apps when you need them, then uninstall them immediately...

Thanks, but... wouldn't Auto Killer Memory use more battery (or RAM) than having the apps running?
I mean, having smth that checks every few minutes running apps and that closes them... then they reopen again, and the Auto Killer closes them again, and so on... doesn't seem the best solution!
Am I wrong?
Tx.

It really depend , but I try it and actually getting better result .
With CM9 rom there is a way to disable the apps that you don't need , just go to setting menu, chose manage apps, click the apps that you don't use , and click disable . But you have to make sure the apps that you disable WILL NOT effect other apps that in use . :silly:
Hi...there are two ways to do what you want to do....
The first is as you say to delete and re install the apps as you need them.....
The other way is to NOT delete them, but to FREEZE them. (This is the better option, and the option that I use) there are several apps that will do this, titanium backup (paid app) and Gemini app manager (free) to name two.
I use Gemini and it does EXACTLY what you are asking. You have to be rooted in order to use either of the apps I mentioned....but if you're using a custom rom, I guess you already are. Both apps are available in the Play Store, and there's an online tutorial on how to use Gemini....just Google it.......
Hit thanks if this helped
CM9....I don't have to...I just......can

My ram is only at 46mb-100mb if i'm lucky. it isn't a big deal with the way RAM works. you actually want your ram used rather than free.
use diskusage.
See if my signature can help you in any way.

if you look at silentvistor's sig, it gives good ideas how to reduce background processes. you can also install tb and freeze a lot of the unncessary apps if you are rooted.
i have ran tw and aosp roms, and never had close to that much free ram unless i'm constantly closing out of the apps and killing them. it actually takes more battery to kill and fully reopen an app than it does to have it running in the bg. just get rid of the apps you don't want to use/run in the background.
use diskusage to find big folders, go in there, and see why you have such low memory. if it is stuff you want to keep, get a big sd card and move it all there or use a sd swap script.
Hi
I face a heavy lag while google market update my apps, dose any one have the same issue ??
is there any solution for it??
If I unlock my phone and instal custom ROM the lag will be disappear?
Thanks.
It's normal I think. My phone lags also when installing a downloaded app especially heavier apps. Of course this lag is minor and doesn't keep me from doing what I have in hand.

I have no lag at all on Leedroid. You didn't give any details about what your running, so I would say it is some app or your setup causing it.

Not normal to have lag on this phone. I get lag on my 5yo tablet. Restart phone (sorry have to suggest that lately). Maybe try an app like ccleaner to clean up. Clear cache from playstore app. Lastly do factory reset and see if that fixes it. If factory reset fixes it, try to notice when issue begins again.
Do you have adoptable storage enabled?
I have a stock HTC 10 and don't experience this. If you have adoptable storage and a slow microSD card it's probably the culprit.
It seems to happen that when my G7 Thinq has no more free RAM left, kills running apps like Spotify, Play Music(not any more), Netflix and others. It kills them even I started recently, or I am listening to music, or I am using Maps while driving or streaming Netflix to Chromecast. So it makes no possible to use these apps normally. I am thinking of buying a new phone just because of that. Does anyone know a solution? I tried being updated, hard reset and uninstalling the apps that more RAM consume.
Wich Android version are you using? Had this problems with the stock verizon rom , too much bloat
Crossflashed the canadian android 10 and everything is miles better .
But uf you dont want to crossflash try to disable the carrier apps , if using chrome switch to a less ram intensive browser and avoid duplicated apps
i'm on android 10 and have the same problem it even disables live wallpapers

Thanks for answering. I did all the LG updates, I am stock rom updated. Mine is not verizon, just normal LG bought in Europe. I don't use chrome or duplicated apps. What you mean with "carrier apps"?

Some carriers have preinstalled apps like games and apps , some of them are very heavy on resources .
Are you using pie or android 10 ? May I suggest trying the smart doctor app , I usually advice against the use of the apps , but this looks like some background process that refuses to let go , run the smart doctor app , Is built in to the phone , after that close all the apps from the recent apps screen , reboot the phone and see if that helps .
If it persist , would you mind upload a screenshot of the ram usage ? It may give us a clue about whats happening .

Thanks for the help, man. It is Android 10. I just used Smart Doctor, and I will check the next days if the problem persists. About memory usage, I will upload in the next days, but it gives the following averages(24h):
3.4 GB
Normal performance
Total memory 3.8 GB
Average use 88%
Free 452 MB
Try disabling Adaptive Battery, I've read some people had troubles with it similar to yours

I have tried things like that, but this settings are confusing to me. I am not sure what means to allow or refuse an app to work, etc.
