[Q] Drivers Inside Desire HD for USB Connection

Hello, one of my friends have a Android Device and when he plug's de Device in any PC automatically de PC install the drivers to be able to recognize the Android Device, he told me that this happen becusae the Drivers are inside of the Device and Windows in the PC recognize the drivers and install them.
Is any way tod do this in our Desire HD?
Becuase many times I want to use my Desire HD like a USB Drive in other PC and is not possible, I need to install the HTC Software or the drivers manually.
Thanks
Install HTC Sync, that will take care of installing the correct drivers for you.
After you plug in the phone & select the 'mount as disk' option on your phone, it should automatically come up as an external drive. (well it does on a Windows 7 pc with no HTC sync installed)
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using XDA App

Windows 10 HTC one M8 usb connection

Hi everyone,
I'm new and searching for help to connect my new HTC one M8 to my PC(OS Windows 10, installed not updated) via USB.
After installing the HTC Sync Manager with its drivers windows won't recognize my device but after updating the driver the error becomes:
Windows found driver software for your device bbut encountered an error while attempting to install it
HTC MTP Device
An error eccurred during the installation of the device:
The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF was written for Windows 95 or later.
I have tried all of the solution over the internet:
-reinstall htc sync (after uninstalling all the drivers, obviously)
-copy usbstor.inf and .pnf file from a pc that recognizes my phone
A thing I observed was that when I enabled the USB debugging mode HTC Sync runs, so the phone is recognized, but the driver can not be installed.
I have tried the phone connection to another PCs and OSs: another Windows 10 and Ubuntu and it works, the problem is my os...

Troubles connecting HTC 10, M9 to Windows 7

I'm not able to get my HTC 10 or HTC M9 phones to connect via USB to my PC with windows 7 (I want to unlock the boot loader(s) etc.). It installs the first driver when you connect and switch to installing drivers, but then when I switch to file transfer mode it tries and says it failed to install the driver.
I also installed HTC Sync Manager or whatever it's called that didn't do any good.
I am able to connect my Pixel 2 and a Blu Vivi XI+, and a Moto X4 all can transfer files. It seems like every one of them was a pain to load the drivers as well though, I know the Pixel 2 was recently anyhow.
I don't know why it's so hard is it just windows 7 or just me or what?
