Hello, one of my friends have a Android Device and when he plug's de Device in any PC automatically de PC install the drivers to be able to recognize the Android Device, he told me that this happen becusae the Drivers are inside of the Device and Windows in the PC recognize the drivers and install them.
Is any way tod do this in our Desire HD?
Becuase many times I want to use my Desire HD like a USB Drive in other PC and is not possible, I need to install the HTC Software or the drivers manually.
Thanks
Install HTC Sync, that will take care of installing the correct drivers for you.
After you plug in the phone & select the 'mount as disk' option on your phone, it should automatically come up as an external drive. (well it does on a Windows 7 pc with no HTC sync installed)
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using XDA App
Im unable to get my device recognized though adb. Nothings apearing on my computer (windows 7 x64) the usb driver that came with the latest sdk say its not windows 64 compatiable...
Im getting This device cannot start. (Code 10) in device status box
Where can i get latest driver from?
Ive deleted all adb htc and usb drivers asossiated with an adroid device from my laptop but still i get device cannot start code 10 error...
how is everyone else getting this to work?
Well my htc wildfire is not shown in the list when i execute the command adb devices, and its not present in the windows device manager. However if i enter recovery and plug the usb in, it recognizes my wildfire as android device- my htc and i can see it in the adb devices. Does anyone know how i can install it properly so i can see it in my adb devices when im not in recovery? I had it working somehow in the past but i formatted my pc and cant do it :S

I had that issue too and created a thread but it solved itself somehow. You should download the Universal ADB driver (you can download them here: http://download.clockworkmod.com/test/UniversalAdbDriverSetup6.msi. And you can also install the PDA Net drivers for the Wildfire.
Thanks for the reply, however i solved it by reflashing the rom in my wildfire. Thanks
Hi
Windows 8.1 fresh install.
Added Minimal ADB & Fastboot and Google USB Drivers.
Nexus 5 is detected by ADB & Fastboot and works fine using same cable and Windows 8.1 machine.
Nexus 7 2013 is detected by ADB, but not by fastboot.
When I plug the 7 in when booted into bootloader, Windows plays the connected, then disconnected sounds.
Nothing appears in device manager so I can't update the driver.
Connect the 7 to my other PC and it works fine.
Any ideas how I can get the 7 detected correctly in fastboot ?
Thanks
Do you have the Android SDK installed?
Hi
Thanks fro the reply.
On either the windows 8.1 machine I don't have the SDK installed.
I downloaded the minimal adb / fastboot setup which does work fine for the nexus 5..just not the 7 flo in bootloader mode.
Same setup on the other windows PC and they both work !!
I'm going to double check the drivers on both and if there is a any difference. If there is I'll update the fastboot drivers when the nexus 5 is plugged in and detected OK.
See if that helps
Any other ideas ?
If you have a USB 2.0 port, use it. USB 3.0 ports sometimes don't work right with ADB/fastboot.
Hi everyone,
I'm new and searching for help to connect my new HTC one M8 to my PC(OS Windows 10, installed not updated) via USB.
After installing the HTC Sync Manager with its drivers windows won't recognize my device but after updating the driver the error becomes:
Windows found driver software for your device bbut encountered an error while attempting to install it
HTC MTP Device
An error eccurred during the installation of the device:
The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF was written for Windows 95 or later.
I have tried all of the solution over the internet:
-reinstall htc sync (after uninstalling all the drivers, obviously)
-copy usbstor.inf and .pnf file from a pc that recognizes my phone
A thing I observed was that when I enabled the USB debugging mode HTC Sync runs, so the phone is recognized, but the driver can not be installed.
I have tried the phone connection to another PCs and OSs: another Windows 10 and Ubuntu and it works, the problem is my os...
