Hi,
Does anyone know if this method for installing whatsapp on a non-rooted Galaxy tab 3 WiFi model still works? I was going to get a Galaxy tab 3 for someone but only if we can get whatsapp working on it. Can anyone confirm if this method still works? If someone could do a test and let me know, I'd really appreciate it.

Hello,
I am a proud new owner of a Tmobile Galaxy Note 2 and I have a few issues. My previous phone that this replaced was a Galaxy Nexus. The first problem is that I can't get my Google Voice emails to go to the inbox. I have changed it in the call settings but when someone calls, their voicemails are sent to the T-mobile servers instead. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Also, I was able to tether with the native app on my Galaxy Nexus. When I tried to tether with the galaxy note 2, it says that my plan does not support it. I tried using an app called foxfi but it doesn't work with Jelly Bean. Do I need to wait for a root or is there another app that I can try. Thanks to anyone who can help!
hey guys, I just bought a galaxy note 2 and I have two problems
1- The ringtone starts very quiet for a pair of seconds and then it gets much louder. Well I find this really annoying and I wanted to know if there was any way to fix that. I dont have root. Anyone else experienced it?
2- When I send SMS with the default app, if they are a bit long, they get automatically converted to MMS. I already tried to change the "Creation Mode", even to restricted, but nothing.
is there a way to remove this option?
thanks a lot
anyone?

Anyone?
I just recently got a hold of a nice like new Note 4 and would like to start using it as my personal phone. The only issue I have is that I can't get data when I swap my atnt sim in, I don't know what else I can try. I am not familiar with android devices and I am not comfortable with messing with roms/unlocks/jailbreaks so I don't know what i'm doing. I have tried serching on google and on other sites but I have not been able to find a definite answer to my issue. Most other threads are old or have not been answered. What can I try to get data on my Note 4. I believe it is unlocked because I can call and text without issues but no data, I have tried chaning APN settings that I found on google but to no avail.
My Note 4 model is SM-N910V on android 4.4.4. The current phone I have is a 5s on AT&T and I used a sim adapter to get it to work on the Note 4. Maybe I need to call atnt and talk to them, please let me know if anyone has the same issue or is trying to do the same thing as me.
Any ideas/comments, I am clueless as to what to try next or should I just sell the note?
Sell and purchase a gmc device.
Sent from my SM-N910V using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Changing APN settings
In order to access the data, the APN settings need to be updated. You can find settings on AT&T website. Can't post link because new user

Here is the link for updating the APNs http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB424489&cv=820#fbid=IX7estnKEsG
I have a Verizon Note 4 using the APN settings from the previous post and it works fine. Just did the lollipop update and its also working.
I do have a problem with contact matching. the way the number is presented, it doesn't match it against my contacts. This is very annoying.
Anyone know a fix without having to go in and adjust all the numbers?

I'm having the same problem with the contacts like they are all jacked up
Another issue that I came across is you can't redial someone from the call log. since it doesn' include the 1 after +, ATT tries it as an international call. Anyone try replacing the dialer with att dialer?

There are several work arounds available here. if you root, the number of possibilities for you will increase, if not, you'll have very limited options.
HI all...
After a week of struggling to root my Note 4, I downgraded to 5.1.1 and now have it almost reconfigured with all my apps and setting and I just received a notice to upgrade to MM.
How do I stop this? I don't want to have this phone unrooted and locked after all I just went through to get it rooted. I did a quick search but I didn't find anything specific. I am going to do some more searches but it keeps popping up to upgrade and I don't know if I can continue to delay it?
Could ANYONE please advise how I stop this or upgrade to MM safely so I don't get locked out?
Thanks
Tom

Thanks IndyRoadie!
I realized I had purchased Titanium backup on my old Note 2 so I reinstalled it and I figured out how to freeze the update settings.
Rooting is NOT like riding a bicycle. You DO forget how to do it!
Thanks again!
I hear ya! I have been rooting since my old Droid Eris days, and thought I had a handle on it. But the Note 4 throws some strange curves into the mix!
