[Q] Install stock camera after delete it - LG Optimus G (International)

Hey. I was trying to do something with the camera apk from system/prv-app on stock kk and I took it out of there. I rebooted the phone and as supposed I lost the app. I thought if I would put it back it would just install itself but it didn't. I got the apk but when I try to install it says "app not installed"
Anyway I can install it?
Thank you

Just copy it there with odex file, set permissions to bot files

And reboot the phone, you'll see a message Android is upgrading and that's it. Don't try to install the app.

Well, I don't have the .odex file... will it be made automatically?

No, you need it.

So I can't install it now?

Try this one.

It's mine, extracted from priv-app.

It worked! Thanks a lot!

How do I install a ROM?

Hey guys, I'm trying to insatll adfree pro and the new market to my oxygen rooted desire.
I put the .zip folder in the SD card and used ROM manager to install the ROM, however when it finalized and booted back up, adfree pro wasn't installed. Any ideas?
Thanks

can you not instal adfree from the "old" market
regards
Indeed I can, but I like keeping stuff up to date, so I'd ideally like the new market.
However, I'm not hugely keen on the new market so it's not a big loss anyway.
I was going for adfree pro also.

Accidentally uninstalled camera.

Yesterday when trying to take a picture, I noticed that it didnt look right. I uninstalled the system app camera. I thought I did a back up through titanium backup but I didn't. How can I get that back on my evo so ther camera will work again?
You will have to pull the camera apk from a stock rom and push it to the system/app folder.
I am using a snergy rom..
SERIOUSLY!? Just reflash the rom it will be there again
I have to much stuff on there. I rather just grab the apk and flash it of i can..
If you just wipe system in recovery and then reflash the ROM your data will remain intact it will only replace system. The method of pushing the apk is also easy, if you have root explorer this is much easier. I would also try just putting the apk on the sd card then simply installing it. Make sure though you pull the one from Synergy rom.
I did find a newer htc cam apk but it wouldnt install. I tried to use root explorer but i am not to familiar with it so what i did, it didnt work.
ok..I just wiped the system and reinstalling it...thanks for your help...
I pm'ed you if you need more help
Getting Camera Back
If you want to get your camera back(if rooted and ROM flashed) just re-flash the rom or find another rom

Phone is Xperia Arc, Android 4.0.4, Custom kernel.
Repair with seus ^^
Maybe possible reinstall packageinstaller or something like that?
Or any other ways to solve this trouble?
how many apps did you try to install? Because last time I had this problem the *.apks I was trying to install from the sdcard were corrupted. I spend almost an hour until I realized the *.apks were broken and not my phone.
Try to redownload the apk files.
I tried a lot of *.apks install - same result.
Tried re-download and install, again the same
have u tried instaling them with flash tool instead of an xplorer / instaler and i think this is someting to do with the type of coding on the apk's themselfs and the more rexcent firmware isnt it ?

I'm not sure it has something to do with the type of coding.... As far as I know the apks can be installed on any Android version. They wont work properly if incompatible, but they should be installable....
@casper0k
well... another suggestion would be trying this one out...
APK Batch Installer. I used it before I bought the Titanium BackUp.
Have you also tried
- wipe dalvik?
or
- redownloading and reinstalling Arconium? In case of corrupt ROM or wrong installation...
Is there anything else we should know? Did you install any mods? Did you install the ROM right (full wipe etc.)?

[Q] Stock 4.2 camera is not working!

Today I read a little guide from youmobile, about installing the new camera in android 4.2. (cant post link since im new)
I did everything except I forgot to backup first. Now everytime i start up the phone, open camera or open gallery it comes "Gallery has crashed".
Anyone knows what I might have done wrong? I used ROM Manager -> Boot into clockwordmod recovery -> flash zip -> and i chose the zip.
The camera is working trough apps like Snapchat, but not trough the stock app.
I could also use the stock 4.1.2 gallery and camera .apk so I atleast can get back my camera.
I am running on 4.1.2 takju nexus, with Air Kernel 3.0.46.
Please help.

try this zip. it's fixed so that everything should work.

if you still get crashes, you may want to reflash your Rom (without wiping).
also try fixing permissions, either in clockwork or rom manager

Thanks. I'm new tho, so what do you mean by fixing permissions. Could you give me step by step?
Go into recovery(CWM) and select the fix permissions option (might be under advanced)
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus
Installing the .zip file already fixes permissions. Have you tried renaming the apk to Gallerygoogle2.apk in your preferred file manager?
second post, the link works perfectly.
Thanks!

By settings you mean the system setings?
If yes, then it can be bought back only if you had the google sync on and try and run the setup mode again, and rerun the auto sync backup from google.
Else, if you are rooted, try and replace the settings file (if you have a abackup in local somewhere), in the settings folder.
Sorry, but then if the 2 options are not there, then reflash.
The Settings.apk is missing ... I tried even getting it from a flashable rom but it is not compatible in the rom Im in..
