What is Manila? This soft for Windows Mobile?
Manila or TouchFlo 3d is HTC's Sense user interface for windows mobile.
But in chinese clones it is heavily modified.
Do you really brought that phone?

Yes. What should I do?
I was told that he needed the driver worked well.
If you buy it as HTC made Desire you were fooled. Maybe you cant get it back and get back you money?
If not you will have to live with what you got. No Android. Little chance of upgrades. Why?
No comunity like XDA. Chinese phones look the same outside, but different inside.
Desire clones can have different processors, different memory size, different camera and so on.
Can't believe HTC allow this sort of stuff to go on!!

What software shows hardware phone?
Why do you want to know. Its not much use of knowledge that inside. Unless you are very gifted in mobile software development.
I want to know what's inside. Is there support for 3G, memory, processor

English forum. My english is better than russian. Besides, no russian letters on my keyboard.
That is a problem with chinese phones. You cant rely on internal software to show correct hardware. Cant rely on chinese websites specs. I googled for few minutes and find it can be 3 different processors, ram/rom from 256 to 576, camera 2, 3, 3.2, 5 mpix., gps, no gps, screen Wvga, hga, amoled, led, lcd, capacitive, resistant. What inside yours?
Maybe search Windows Mobile Development and Hacking forum for some hardware showing software.
Maybe our desire forum members from China can help.
Good luck.

Hi jmrojas, i have the same phone, and the same problem with de optical trackpad.
I cannot believe that this phone has the hardware button (optical trackball) but that it does not work. I believe that it is a problem of the ROM.
If you find a solution, please tell me. Thanks!!
it's a good news? lg6200 can flash lg spectrum (vs920) boot/recovery image ,because same hardware configuration, and into lg home success, sensor is ok , but has some problems: wifi is fail, telephone quality is bad, communication with hands-free each other can't hear voice, usb storage is invalid, these should be kernel driver problems. The above test information for your reference...
lg6200 already had ics engineer version.it means 3.0.8 kernel had.
only difference network(4G vs GSM/WCDMA/LTE).any good suggest?
http://bbs.fengbao.com/thread-955044-1-1.html
There looks to be a few hardware differences according to this.
http://www.mobilesmspk.net/compare/lg-optimus-lte-lu6200/lg-spectrum-vs920
It looks like they use different LTE bands and the 6200 supports HSDPA+ while the Spectrum does not.

Difference in 3G/4G band support doesn't really matter as far as ROMs are concerned.
I don't know if these two phones are the same, but I wouldn't base my conclusion on that site you linked to. Sites like that are useful for basic comparisons but often have some of the specific details wrong.
I have been searching for a teardown of DEB but cannot seem to find one. Does anyone know the differences in the hardware between FLO and DEB besides the obvious, one has a sim card and one doesnt.
Is the LTE capability integrated into the SoC on DEB but not FLO? If not, is the LTE chip located on the main board with the SoC or is it on the daughter board at the bottom of the tablet where the sim-card plugs in? Any help is appreciated.

It's my understanding that Deb is relatively the same as Flo with the exception of data and full GPS capabilities. Many have flashed Flo ROM's on Deb devices and they will work but will not have data and full GPS capabilities, which defeats the purpose of having a Deb. An actual Deb teardown I have not done though.
Sent from my Nexus 7 Flo running CM 11 4.4.2 with ElementalX Kernel using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I don't remember seeing it anywhere, but can I flash Deb roms on my flo? Theoretically, it should be fully functional (the flo, that is...), but I haven't had the guts to try as yet.

I'm only stating what I've heard people doing. Trying is at your own risk.
Sent from my Nexus 7 Flo running CM 11 4.4.2 with ElementalX Kernel using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I don't actually care to try...I was just curious. Curiosity isn't enough of a reason for me to run that risk.
I've flashed deb roms onto my flo in the course of doing testing: yes it will flash and boot fine.
I forget if it would work without bugs (testing mainly consisted of making sure it boots and nothing major is broken, like wifi, screen, or touch)
Obviously you wont magically get cellular support, it'll be like how it already is: the rom will simply see a radio that cannot connect/sense any type of network.
The biggest hardware difference is obviously the lack of the modem, it's an external module like on all S600 devices.
Software wise there isnt that much major differences:
They use the same bootloader
They use the same kernels
At launch they had the same basebands (flo's never gets updated though info on wiki)
The actual drivers and roms are not identical though, at the very least they're built in both 'deb' and 'flo' configurations, at the very least they have different names inside the drivers

My experience is that some ROMs will work between the "Deb" and "Flo" models but others won't. Some are even advertised as being bisexual. :silly:
It's entirely possible for the hardware on both models to be exactly the same, with some deeply rooted firmware switch to activate LTE. I'd think from a manufacturing and inventory management point of view, it'd be cheaper to build one version due to less tooling and inventory holding costs.

Regardless of if the modem is in flo or not, there's no sim card tray on flos.
They could hypothetically use deb boards that otherwise work 100%, except somehow recieved a faulty modem chip,
but without a sim tray you wouldnt be able to do much with just that.
Many old tegra 2 based tablets had a PCI-E mini slot (PCI-E mini can do either PCI-E and/or usb, only the latter was actually available and that was what was used) where the modem went, you could likely solder in a slot on the wifi model and get the same modem elsewhere, but you'd need to also get a sim slot and tray to actually make it useful.
Today my Tab decided it's dead after being left on charge, there's at least 50% battery charge (hooked it up to a semi-bricked tad) 2340/4000mAh.
Not one for mucking about I cracked my Tab open, checked if anything had blown, no physical signs, so nothing to see, it's just dead at the moment, going to try 30 minute charge then turn on, see if it works (fingers crossed).
I did notice on the back side of the SD slot solder tabs, each is a region and one possible generic listed below:-

SM-T211

Most of the marked components for this Tab are labeled SM-T211 which begs the question......
Can they all be the same higher model than produced as?
If the component parts are the same from the 210 to the 211 it could just be a 2 minute de-solder and re-solder.
If I get any joy out of my Tab as it stands I may try it if somebody knows if the components are the same on both models

I feel like T211 and T210 are almost same, just the radio is missing from T210
Sent from my SM-T211 using XDA Free mobile app
It may not be 'missing' just implemented individually, we'd need to know for sure at hardware level if 3g & WiFi use different hardware?
It could still mean you could upgrade or downgrade so to speak on the model numbers but have to stick to 3g or WiFi
Bashing away at my HTC Desire C
Well a SIM card slot should be missing at thr sm-t210 board. Other than that it should only differ in software I guess.
Sent from my XT1052 using XDA Free mobile app
Not seen an accessible sim slot so I'd guess it's not under the motherboard but would have to know for sure if components are the same, even checking drivers etc.
Could work, unfortunately mines a dead duck by the looks of it so I can't check anything.
May pull it apart and list the components
Bashing away at my HTC Desire C
No, the T211 is an downgraded(with completely different hardware) T210..

This thread is for M5 users who have bugs or issues when using Xperia M5 so we know we are not the only one facing it. If possible please include fixes for the issues if there's any.
So far the bugs I've found:
1. Camera shutter lag
According to other threads, this is a known issue because of the Xperia M5 image processor or something like that. Not a big issue though but it's bugging me a bit
Solution: None
2. Phone will lag if phone gets hot
Basically I was excited when I read about the Xperia M5 specs. I was using a rooted Xperia Z1 before this and I never remember when my Z1 gets laggy because it hardly lags. Xperia Z1 is using quadcore so I expect Xperia M5 to perform better with octacore but i guess i was wrong..
Solution: Restart the phone often. At least once a day
Issue with Xperia M5
My phone switches off suddenly even when it is sufficiently charged. It doesn't start unless connected to charger, battery percentage after connecting to charger shows it was sufficient to keep phone on. This is very irritating and disappointing. I can not use phone unless I find charger when phone switches off like that. I have already did factory reset but this problem is not resolved. I am not sure whether this is software or hardware issue. I am frustrated that after spending such high amount phone is not up to the mark :crying:
Many people are talking about this issue but there is no resolution mentioned in those posts. Some say, it is because issue with Android 5.0. If that is the case, I seriously hope Sony releases Android 6.0 update asap.

I am encountering the same issue too. I am doing a PC companion repair now in hope that it may solve the problem. I also find that sometimes it fail to read my 64gb Class 10 sd card when my Z1 can handle it without any problem.
I suspect that it's all down to mediatek processor. Probably it can't handle heavy use and it gets hot pretty fast. It could be that it's overheating and it triggered the phone to off on it's own. I am going to feedback to @Sony if the problem still persist after repairing from PC companion.
It's disappointing that the specs looks so fascinating on paper but the phone's performance is not up to expectation. We're talking about octa core 2.0 ghz processor, not Z1's quad core processor which unexpectedly perform better than M5.
I have the same problem with my M5.. randomly turns off and won't turn on again unless it is "jumpstarted" with a usb cable.. it doesn't happen often (once a week maybe) but it is still a concern. It basically acts like the battery has run out, when you plug the usb cable in the notification light is red like it is when your battery is low... but it had 80% charge!
The other issue I noticed is the touchscreen spazzes out when it is connected to the charger, that may be a heat related issue, I don't often use it when plugged in so I'd almost forgotten about that problem.
Apart from these two minor complaints it's a really good phone, I'd even say I'm impressed. Half the price of a flagship.
I still believe it's software issu, because I read about Nexus 3 having same issue when updated to Android 5.0. Fortunately, for me there's no overheating issue. I tried using Pc companion and there is a firmware update available for this phone, but when I tried installing it, it gives 'Unfortunately, update service was stooped' message repeatedly when Pc companion tries to shut down phone to install update. Hard reset, Upper volume key and power button doesn't work for me. Not sure whether this update will resolve my issue and how to install it otherwise. Looking forward for suggestions on how to install updates and whether it helped.

Seems the battery and the connecting cable issue,as my M5 already sent for repair, and the service center replaced these things at the end.
Algebra the Bard
Hi, I'm also encountering the same problem here. They've actually changed 2 new phones for me due to the 2nd M5 that they changed for me has flaw at its screen. I've encountered microphone and speaker problem immediately at that moment when i got my 3rd M5. Immediately, they software update it for me. But problem doesn't stop there. I've been going in and out Sony Centre and SOny Service centre and the rude seller says that I'm the only customer whom is complaining. After sending in to the factory, they changed my CPU, but problem still arise. Previously, it was just the 2nd sim slot that couldn't detect my sim card, microphone and speaker problem, but now, my phone has been shutting down almost everyday and it is unable to be turned on unless is connected to a power supply. It has gone severe as it shut down 7times a day. Imagine if I didn't bring my power bank out with me, and i'm in an emergency, that must be crazy.! For my first M5, it has problem with its camera and also the microphone and speaker. It shuts down whenever is slightly hot. But for my M5 now, it shuts down whenever it feels like to. I'm definitely annoyed and irritated!
i have purchased sony xperia m5 dual.. i also facing camera issues. its 21.5 MP but pictures are not clear and very blurred .also my firmware build is latest 30.B.1.33. sony needs to fix this camera problem ASAP..

Same problem here with my fiancée's new M5, temporary fix is to only allow GSM network, no LTE or WCDMA. After this it never crashes, it only does this when the LTE/WCDMA signal goes bad and if you won't allow those networks then the phone won't lock up. Does anyone know if it helps at all to take it to service under warranty, or just wait for the update? If it's not repairable I guess we have to try to return the phone completely.
My Xperia M5 Dual needs about 0.5 and 2 seconds to save the image. This is really annoying !
When I set my Class 10 SD Card as picture folder instead of the internal storage, the save time doesn't change.
Is this the shutter lag everyone talks about ?
M5 switching off
Like many others on this thread, I have the switch off at random and needs a cable to restart thing. I'm going to try switching off the LTE, and see if that helps at all. But thus far, it shuts off when it's in my pocket, at other times when I receive phone calls. It's really very frustrating. Though it's a mid range phone, $525 is expensive for someone who is a student. I probably would have stayed Samsung if they didn't get rid of expandable storage in the S6 models.
I was so happy with my Xperia z1 tablet, and it's reliability, that I thought this Sony M5 would be the same. But alas, it isn't. I really hope upgrading to Android 6.0 will help. But I'm not holding my breath.
I also got the randomly turns off and won't turn on again unless it is "jumpstarted" issue, I rang Sony Mobile australia, and they told me to try "safe mode" without any app installed. Sound like a crazy idea. I only have facebook, instagram , whatsapp and camscanner installed. And all the google apps updated, and uninstalled all those PSN , and sony stuff. I told Sony Mobile Australia that it is a known issue eg: this post, gmsarena , few chinese / taiwanese post like mobile01 , and chinatimes have at least a few users on each forum/website complaining the same issue. It is even on taiwanese newspaper.
1 of my friend in Hong Kong also got the same issue with his M5.

Mine is:
Every time I take picture with rear camera, with manual settings, the phone suddenly hangs, not responding at all. I have to restart it so it would work again. Any solution to this? Please reply. One reason I bought this phone because of its camera.... Z Ultra is a big go down for camera sector so I bought the M5 for the camera. Thanks.

For the irritating auto-shutdown error, i manage to solve it when i changed the settings in network.
Settings > More > Mobile Networks > Preferred network type > Change to [GSM only]
I haven't had any auto-shutdown error from then on. Just remember to reboot phone often.
Whenever I tap the battery usage button in Power Management settings, "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped" pops up. And the battery drains too fast without even turning the screen on. Hope Marshmallow fixes these. Oh, and there's the weird Snapchat camera bug that crashes both the cameras and can't be used by other apps as well.
Anyone got a solution for the snapchat bug? It happens quite often that I can't use the app at all.
My m5 cannot fully charged, it's always stuck in 87%
anyone have the same issue?
PS: how long does it takes to charge the phone from empty to fully charged ?
Sim Card Slot 2 problem
My M5 has only 2 problems so far:
1) The Sim Card Slot 2 suddenly can't detect my sim card. (Previously works just fine and the sim card is in good condition too.) Any solution on this??? :crying:
2) The Market App always auto close and jump back to homescreen.
Luckily, so far, my phone has no any auto-shutdown problem, etc. even I set it to LTE in network.
