Guys, I'm new to Android phone and playing around with it. I accidently enable recovery mode, I have an unlocked Desire and now its at recovery screen with phone icon and red triangle with ! on it. Did I brick it? how do I get it back? Please help, I only have this phone for 3 days.
Holy cow, scare the crap out of me. Just took out the battery and it restarted it. It's back to normal now. I came from WM6 with HTC touch, then switch to iPhone (jailbroke it and unlock it) gave it to my wife and now move to Desire, beautiful machine. I'm debating on weather to root it or not, I do like HTC sense, I might wait for the official ROM update.
Any way thanks for looking.
I know this phone dropped today with little fanfare, but we still need a place to hang our heads in shame right? Should have one tomorrow, wanna get working on this bootloader situation!

Hello! I'm new and this will be my first post lol
alright the problem is this, I bought an HTC Incredible from ebay (1 week ago I am new with android) i was trying to bypass the activation and then it just suddenly reboot
it was new i asked for help everywhere but no one could help me, later I found a tutorial how to root it I unlocked it and S off and then installed Cyanogen 7.2.0 but it didnt help, now if i want to use my phone i have to take out the battery for almost 1 hour and it will boot normally if i dont do that it will go into a loop showing just the "HTC Incredible white screen" when i take out the battery and it finally boots it works just for 1 or 2 hours and then it reboots again, then i have to take out the battery because it will go into the freaking loop again.
I've tried everything, I've erased the cache and wipe all the phone, I've tried factory reset, installed different custom roms, all this things I did it from Clockworkmod and nothing helped, I'm so frustrated i don't know what to do anymore.
Maybe you guys know something like a patch so it will help it to not reboot.
my original dinc had random reboots when it would get warm. does your phone feel warm when you put your hands on the front and back of the phone? I know you can feel some heat when it reaches over 105F.

yes a little bit, right now it has been working for 3 hours but i haven't touch it a lot, I am 100% sure it will reboot soon and then it will come back to the Boot Loop

Hey guys. Bit rusty on this phone as I have been on the M8 for a while but my wife uses it. Her phone is stock rooted (Digiblur's rom I think.) and today after having the phone charging over night she went to turn it on and it got stuck on the Samsung logo screen. I don't have the phone near me at the moment but can you guys refresh my memory and advise the best steps to take? Pretty sure the phone has TWRP recovery but I forgot how to manually access it (if that's even the right course of action.
Not a single person who knows what to do or cares enough to point me in the right direction
Damn man you posted 8 hrs ago. You expect someone to just jump out and fix your issue asap? Give people a chance and you might get help.
My first guess would be battery. Plug phone to wall and see if it boots fully. If it does unplug it and it will most likely shut down or crash. You should be able to boot into recovery without being plugged in since it requires much less power to run. This device has come to that point in its life span where the battery just gives up. I bet if you ask your wife she will probably have noticed that charges don't last as long either.

Check this out worked for me. I would deff check battery first but if that fails this could help you. I know when i wasnt rooted on stock rom the phone had an error in recovery saying efs folder couldnt mount. After rooting the stock rom with a custom recovery, the error didnt show up but was still present.
