[Q] Google Now no longer showing shipping details - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Before Google Now would show me when things were shipped and how long it would be before I get them, could track them, etc, etc...Now it doesnt. I have tried clearing data, uninstalling, reinstalling and still nothing. Any ideas?

Mine still does. It's always been picky though on which ones it picks out. Only seems to be from Amazon.

What version of Google Play Services are you on? I remember I had to update it when I tried out the new Google now, but since it crashed, I uninstalled the latest google search. So wondering if that might be the cause of it

I agree 100%. I too was on the N4 and it worked flawless. Now it shows things when it feels like it, but still wont show the tracking card. About to disable it all together since that was really the only reason I used it, minus sports, but I have another app that can do it.

I just removed the widget and then added it and opened it up through the search and played with it. After a few min cards showed up but not shipping status

I have noticed that the Amazon shipping emails no longer contain the actual tracking number. That could account for some of this.

That is a good point. BUT...if I say Google Now...then say Track my packages...it will show them. So that is weird.

My last 6 amazon orders delivered via UPS did not have the tracking number show in the body of the "shipped" email. I believe this is the info that google now polls to populate the tracking cards.
To your point above when you say to google now "when will my package arrive" do you get actual tracking info or the expected arrival date stated in the email? Apparently, google now can extract data from the order receipt email however this does not have the tracking number. Thus no true tracking can be achieved by google now.
I did a chat session with Amazon to inquire as to why the change the agent told me he would take my feedback to the concerned department...
Hopefully, they will get this fixed. I find tracking with google now quite helpful especially with Christmas season being here.

When I say where is my package, it just shows the emails and the est of when it should arrive. I wonder if Amazon did this on purpose to take away from Google.

I wonder if it is Amazon or the shipper. I was looking at my orders again and a Fedex order last week had no tracking number as well. But a USPS order did...

I noticed after November 4th I haven't received a single tracking code by email. I called Amazon and they forwarded a request to an account specialist. We all need to cause as much hell for them about "tracking codes missing from Shipping Confirmation emails" or else they might get away with it.

We can thank Amazon for this change, not Google. Apparently tracking numbers are no longer provided in email and thus Google Now won't pick it up.

Yeah, doesn't work with Slice.com or the Slice app anymore either. Looking back at my Amazon orders, the last time I had a tracking # in the email was October 4th (for a Spigen case). Every single order after that (and I order a lot of stuff) now says "Depending on the ship speed you chose, it may take 24 hours for tracking information to be available in your account." where the tracking# used to be.
Sad.
Wonder why they're doing this? To get people to go back to Amazon.com to check tracking and possibly buy something else while there? Or maybe just to spite Google, because google's trying to muscle in on retail with Shopping Express? Who knows...

Im hoping Google comes up with some hackery to get it working again. If it means I have to add my amazon credentials to google now, Id do it. I order from there almost daily.

Just to revisit this, the "Track Package" link should now be visible again on the Google Now card for new shipments. It seems like Google has started using the "Track Your Package" link from the Amazon email. It's currently working that way for me with a shipment email I received this morning. I guess it's something.

Ok so that we dont get a stupid number of threads popping up about phones that have been dispatched from suppliers or received phones im creating this thread.
Anyone who has got an email saying there phone has been dispatched or if they have received their phone can post here and I will update this first post to keep a good idea of who has stock in.
Just post where you ordered your phone and when it was dispatched and it will be added to a list. Please copy the email into this thread as well (deleting confidential information) as people will demand proof . If you bought one from a shop you can post it here too so we can build a list of shops with stock.

It is possible that stock may have arrived early... Specially if you ordered as soon as per-orders were open. I am expecting mine on Friday.
I'm not going to go near a phone shop tomorrow as reading about the nexus I can handle but seeing it and not having it I can't

I don't mean to sound like I don't believe you or anything but a little proof wouldn't go a miss, perhaps add a copy of the message with your personal info removed. Surely you are not the only person in the entire world getting it delivered on time?

The truth is some people WILL get a Galaxy Nexus today.
Either they ordered from phones4u almost immediately when pre-ordering started,
or
They will queue up outside Phones4u in London in the morning or manage to get lucky at a three store that has a very limited stock available.
But they are risking not getting anything at all within the next week by queueing up as if they do run out of stock then good luck getting a Nexus delivered on Friday...
So I would expect to be jealous of a few people tomorrow... but who knows maybe Phones4u will end up delivering everyones phone tomorrow? I guess we will see in the morning.

Just phoned up P4U
First guy told me they're not receiving the stock til tomorrow, and it will be sent out tomorrow.
I queried why their phone shops had stock but they were unable to fulfil pre-orders.
He said he couldn't answer that and passed me to another dept.
She said the same thing, they've been let down and they'll be sending the phones out tomorrow for 50% chance of a Saturday delivery and 99% chance on Monday.
I made clear I was annoyed that pre-orders were being delayed but shops were getting stock, at which point she told me my phone might be delivered tomorrow.
I asked why she changed her answer and she said:
"it says on the internet orders will be delivered on the 18th"

I'm on the process of this too. I canceled my pre order was given a cancelation number and was promised the phone wouldn't ship. Well low and behold my bank account has been charged and over drafted now since I bought it yesterday in store and the pre order note 3 is on its way to my home right now.... I've instructed everyone at home to not sign anything and to refuse the package. If they leave it at the door I'll take it to ups and return to sender.....gosh what a bunch of crap.

Same here , they said my pre-order was on back order for 10 days and i did the same thing by cancelling it and got the same text yesterday that it shipped. Bunch of morons that work for T-mobile i would have just waited if i knew it was going to ship yesterday
I'm in the same boat. I cancelled my preorder on 10/1 picked the phone up in store 10/2 and received a tracking number this morning.
The tracking number said it would be here by 4:30 which it's now almost 5:30???

Hah I guess this makes me look like a dum dum. I was just looking at the reason codes UPS offered and refusing delivery seemed to deal more with incorrect address, item, etc. Wasn't certain you just refuse something you no longer want.

Haha no problem I use to work for a delivery company lol. If they are all as nice as me, thats all it take
The UPS guy just rang my doorbell and let the phone right there. I was able to catch him before he left and I just told him I was refusing it and it should not have been shipped out.
I did and the ups dude said cool.. question was everyone charged before the order shipped? I wasn't I had I pending. It fell off and never came back.

Why are you guys not wanting them? I ordered one yesterday with the zero down deal, and it shipped yesterday too. It's scheduled for delivery tomorrow by UPS. You all have me wondering why. Is UPS doing something to the phones? Should I be worried?
Careful some drivers are shady and if you give it back they can say they gave it to you and keep it for themselves to sell. I would personally take it back and have something given to you as proof of the return like a receipt or something to cover your ass.

register an ups account and add the tracking to your account. then request the package to be picked up at ups store.
contact tmobile to let them know you refuse the phone. that way it never leaves ups and tmobile can't make **** up since it wasn't even opened/delivered to you.

I decided I wanted black instead of my white pre-order, and T-Mobile couldn't cancel my pre-order or stop the shipping.

No perks as yet...

I bought the 16gb version from Best buy yesterday. Registered for the perks last night. So far I have not received any email confirmation from Samsung. How long does it take to get the perks?

It took me almost 2 weeks. Others got it within seconds, minutes... In cases where people had to call in (like me) the time varies as well. Some people reported receiving an e-mail within seconds of speaking with a support rep. In my case it took them about 1.5 weeks to 2 weeks to finally get my codes to me.
Give them a call. What will happen is they'll ask you for all the information you used to try and register and then they'll try to register for you. If that doesn't work then they escalate the issue to a person(s) who manually types out the codes for you and e-mails it (which is what takes a long time). This last bit was poorly explained to me and I thought they were giving me the run around (which they probably were at some point).
Give them a call. Worst case scenario it will take a week for the to get back to you. They may keep telling you that it will just take a day or two, but that wasn't the case for me which is why I thought they were screwing with me.

I have called 5 times, each time they tell me they are expediting it, it's been weeks, and I still haven't gotten the email.
On my most recent call, it was explained to me that the product being so new, they did not have all of the serial numbers in the system. So if you registered for your perks and your serial number happened to be in the system, you got your email immediately, otherwise, nothing. Now they seem to be playing catch up, with those who call in having their serial numbers pushed up in the line (I guess).

I got mine in just a few minutes. I did find the email in my spam folder though. Not saying you have not looked but make sure you check your spam filters.

Contacted Samsung support today and they told me it could take up to 48hrs... which should be later tonight. If nothing by then, I would contact again.

This drives me nuts. This is exactly what they told me and it's just a scripted line. They need to just say that there has been a systematic issue which has affect some users and that they are having to manually send out codes to people who are affected. I know a scripted bull**** line when I hear one and it only makes me press them more.
When you call them record the calls and make sure that you tell them you are recording the calls (by law you have to tell them you're recording). Light a fire under their asses so that they'll stop feeding you BS and be sincere. There should be a sticky for anyone affect so you guys can all collectively work together to get your perks.
Every time I called back they had my information wrong and they were purposely doing it. I know this because I checked with a rep and we ere damn sure the e-mail was right. The next time I called back I asked for them to give me my info to make sure it was right and it wasn't. Those guys like to play games.
If a sticky gets made and enough people are affected by this I'll post the contact info the person who sent me my codes after I link them to the thread and give them a fair warning that they are about to receive a flood of e-mails from pissed off costumers who their help desk screwed with.
I signed up for mine tonight and was actually quite shocked to get the email within 2 minutes. Wow!
It's not all roses though, I had a hard time getting my perks when I registered a Note 8 a few months ago. Had to go through customer service and I eventually got my codes.

Oh btw, if you're having problems, contact Samsung on their Facebook page. Fastest way to get a response. When I had my problems, it got resolved within a few hours.
Okay so here's the latest. Yesterday when I contacted Samsung I did it in 2 ways. Firstly I contacted them using the live chat on the website. They told me I have to wait 48 hrs. Secondly I contacted them on their Facebook page. They told me I have to wait up to 72 hrs...
Today I contacted them using the live Web chat. They asked how much time has passed since I registered and I told them 64 hrs. Then she started asking for my info.. serial # mac address etc.... After that she told me she escalated it to another department and I should get an email from Samsung in 2 business days... I'm waiting for that now. ?.
Good thing about the Web chat is that I got the transcript.

After not receiving mine in the original registration Thank you email, I went to samsung.com and did a life chat with support after which I got the email with freebies right away, it's worth a try if you still did not get it

And it's worth reiterating to check your other folders in Gmail. My perks were in my inbox, but they did not show up in my regular "inbox" view for some reason. They showed up only if I went to the All Mail or Important views (and in both cases they showed it as living in my inbox, but the inbox wouldn't show it). So, check all of your Gmail mailboxes and smart folders before you give up, it's not just "spam or inbox"...
Ok another update...... After waiting 2 business days I contacted them again... they told me that the ticket was filed today and it would take 2 business days.... so now I have to wait until Monday.....

Does anyone know how to contact Samsung Rebates ? I got hosed

I just received and email letting me know that my rebate was rejected because the preorder date was not correct , I preordered on 10/17, the promo site clearly stated that Verizon buyers had until the 23rd .

I looked at my submission, and it looks like they definitely made it hard to actually contact them. I cant imagine that was a mistake.
Probably have to contact Samsung themselves and fight for hours to maybe get someone that can and will help.

No I signed up for the rebate that I showed screenshot of with the big red circle on it. That is one thing I made sure to double and triple check before mailing the thing in.
Okay so I resubmitted my rebate using the link above that shows in parentheses that Verizon users have until the 22nd to do a pre order here's a photo of the confirmation screen I got on my computer if you look at the circle it shows the same thing about Verizon . Now in the second photo this is the actual email confirmation I got after filling it out if you look at the red circle you will notice that the part about Verizon having until the 22nd has been mysteriously taken away.
It looks like there is a major bait and switch going on. The whole reason I am even doing the mail and is because when I enter in my information on the web their vacation it claims that my IMEI is incorrect.
Again, they extended this to 10/31 and no preorder was necessary. Just send in a copy of everything via mail.

Everything was sent via us mail that's what this whole thread was about
Every document was printed and mailed to them correctly I have documented the process step by step to through out the entire thread

My guess is that someone didn't realize the promo was extended then. They must've looked at the original promo when they denied it
I couldn't get it to work online either, so I emailed them. They said something like "We have updated our website so please try again." I did, and it amazingly worked.
However, one place says it all must be on one receipt. Verizon can not do that. They said in the email to me that it didn't have to be on one receipt, so I guess others had complained about that.
I could be wrong, but I swear there was a difference in wording on what to circle too. One place said to circle the trade in, the date, and the purchase of the Note 4. Then in the process is listed what to circle again, and said something different.
Lastly, it said the photo had to be of the original receipt. My Verizon store checks you out on tablets, and emails you receipts. I clearly told them I needed a physical receipt for a rebate. They gave me one, but it's my receipt printed on 8.5x11 paper, not the normal receipt paper. So I'm waiting for them to say they are not the original receipt.
The one thing they can NOT get me on is image quality. I busted out my dslr for the photo. The image, while under their maximum size, is large enough for the blind to be able to read.
So yeah, overall, I'm almost expecting to get screwed over by this somehow.

+1, same as you, I did it online and no problem, pretty straight forward and simple. The only thing that I noted that when ask to upload files, you need to upload one receipt for prep-order and one for trade in. It won't let you continue if you only upload 1 file.

You are one of the few lucky ones , most of us trying to do it online are getting the "invalid hex/imei" error . It seems like samsung wanted to minimize how many of these rebates are getting paid out .

I never noticed that, nor did that. I uploaded one single picture showing everything. I did that on 10/23 like others. I got the email confirmation they received it, but nothing past that point.
I got the invalid IMEI message, too.
Did you try re-entering it without spaces? Once I typed it as strictly numeric, it took it.
I entered mine about 30 diff times and every way possible

$99 promotion - anyone else have trouble?

Completed my registration, chose to do the $99 set, it marks my registration as approved, then lists a button to "buy now" due to limited supplies.
Button doesn't work, it isn't even linked to anything, cannot get back to this page any other way. Site says i will get an email with the link to buy for reference, haven't gotten that either.
On hold for samsung now, but I assume they are getting demolished, cause the hold times are unreal.

Not yet, just left the call going while doing other stuff, 1 hour and 33 mins waiting so far. If I ever get through before i give up, I'll post what I find out.
at least it isn't just me. I hope this doesn't mean it sold out already somehow tho. I'll be super pissed.

I had the same thing happen. Went to email confirmation and clicked on the link in the email to purchase and it worked.

Answer:
The server/website part that handles the $99 deal crashed, they noted my account of what happened (so I dont get screwed I guess, we'll see) and told me to call back tomorrow as they don't believe it'll be fixed tonight.
They do not have an answer on how to get back to that page or if the email will be sent as their page advised, but said they have steps they can take if called to resolve.
So I guess I will be giving them a call tomorrow morning to see where they are at.

You are lucky, I have not gotten the email and it's been nearly 2 hours.
I just completed the online form. Looks like you have to wait for manual approval on their side before the email with purchase link will be sent to you.
When I clicked on check status,. it said "Please allow 24 hours after submitting for your submission status to be available with your email address."

Did they change it since earlier? Others were able to click the pay now button.
This is what that page said for me, leaving it up for "proof" to samsung if needed.

Called them earlier since I'm working and can just leave the phone muted waiting. 2 hours on hold now total. First bit was a waste of time. As an FYI for anyone else that calls in, you have to tell their system you want the promotions department. No one else can help supposedly.

I was on hold for over 3 hrs this morning, got transferred 3 times, finally just gave up. The promotions department told me it was another department because there was a purchase involved. He told me the promotion department only handled the free VR set. What a mess. Please keep us updated.
ok, finally talked to someone, here is what I was told. They requested I try and register again because the shop samsung app didn't show I registered. "our app is more up to date than our website"
So I tried that and got a kickback I already registered. So then they tried to tell me the buy now button ONLY works for people who purchased from Samsung and anyone who purchased through a carrier needs to go through a 24 hour manual approval process before they can pay for the $99 bundle. They told me the email would show up within 2 weeks for the bundle, but registration confirmation is within 24 hours. I complained saying others were already paying for this bundle, since some have, and that I don't want to get screwed by not being able to get the bundle since supplies are limited.
she said they cant do anything but note the account, wait for approval and see what happens. Gave me a ticket number for reference in case I do get screwed.
So even tho their website says, "you are approved" this isn't true apparently unless you purchased from Samsung (i just don't believe this to be the case, but maybe.)

I had the same issue last night. Tried again through the app from work this morning. Everything was fine and went through. My advice, try again. I kept getting that my EIN didn't match my Mac address.
