[Q] Anyone refused UPS yet? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

What reason do you need to give the driver? Is there a specific process or something?

I'm on the process of this too. I canceled my pre order was given a cancelation number and was promised the phone wouldn't ship. Well low and behold my bank account has been charged and over drafted now since I bought it yesterday in store and the pre order note 3 is on its way to my home right now.... I've instructed everyone at home to not sign anything and to refuse the package. If they leave it at the door I'll take it to ups and return to sender.....gosh what a bunch of crap.

Same here , they said my pre-order was on back order for 10 days and i did the same thing by cancelling it and got the same text yesterday that it shipped. Bunch of morons that work for T-mobile i would have just waited if i knew it was going to ship yesterday

I'm in the same boat. I cancelled my preorder on 10/1 picked the phone up in store 10/2 and received a tracking number this morning.
The tracking number said it would be here by 4:30 which it's now almost 5:30???

Hah I guess this makes me look like a dum dum. I was just looking at the reason codes UPS offered and refusing delivery seemed to deal more with incorrect address, item, etc. Wasn't certain you just refuse something you no longer want.

Haha no problem I use to work for a delivery company lol. If they are all as nice as me, thats all it take

The UPS guy just rang my doorbell and let the phone right there. I was able to catch him before he left and I just told him I was refusing it and it should not have been shipped out.

I did and the ups dude said cool.. question was everyone charged before the order shipped? I wasn't I had I pending. It fell off and never came back.

Why are you guys not wanting them? I ordered one yesterday with the zero down deal, and it shipped yesterday too. It's scheduled for delivery tomorrow by UPS. You all have me wondering why. Is UPS doing something to the phones? Should I be worried?

Careful some drivers are shady and if you give it back they can say they gave it to you and keep it for themselves to sell. I would personally take it back and have something given to you as proof of the return like a receipt or something to cover your ass.

register an ups account and add the tracking to your account. then request the package to be picked up at ups store.
contact tmobile to let them know you refuse the phone. that way it never leaves ups and tmobile can't make **** up since it wasn't even opened/delivered to you.

I decided I wanted black instead of my white pre-order, and T-Mobile couldn't cancel my pre-order or stop the shipping.

Almost got the Verizon today

So I called Radio Shack today and the store manager told me I can come down and buy one. Drove there and she brings it from the back and proceeds to ring me up and activate the line (I didn't know it was micro sim card btw), She was having trouble activating my line so she called Verizon and they activated it for me. I turned on the phone, logged on to my google account and was using the phone to text and make a couple of calls. The whole time I thought she would remember she wasn't suppose to sell but no one even said anything UNTIL....continue reading
Here's the sad part. It comes time to pay for the phone and she tries to ring it up in Radio Shack system but it won't let her. She tries a couple more times and it still won't let her. Meanwhile I still have the phone in my hand and texting some friends. She proceeds to call another Radio Shack and that's when I knew the gig was up, cause I had called the same store earlier and they told me it wasn't for sale. So when she got off the phone with him, she proceeded to tell me it wasn't for sale yet and that she will hold it for me. She felt so bad and of course I was frustrated but she will be holding the phone for me until this coming sunday when *supposedly* it will go on sale. SO we shall see.
Playing with the phone it is still running 4.0.1, I should of click update to see if anything would of came through but the phone seems nice and can't wait till it drops.

I thought they had a 2100 battery with a special battery cover. Holding the phone its pretty thin so i wouldn't mind a bigger battery

They do, and I'm getting it, as well. The extra weight/thickness would be great.
Actually, currently having a Rent-a-Rezound, the *only* thing I like about the phone is the physical size/weight. The software is crap and eats battery like crazy, but the phone *feels* perfect.
according to the two guys that got them at best buy yesterday on ac they said they picked up the extended battery afterwords at vzw and comes with an extra door but you wont need it, it doesnt add any thickness to the phone

Holy crap the very same thing happened to me as well today. I had everything loaded up on it... contacts, apps, the whole 9 yards. I'm thinking to myself.... I [email protected]#k yes! Apparently not. She couldn't ring the damn thing up at all, and when she called another store they told her she could not sell it till the 14th. I've been bummed all day now, because that phone was cookin!

TMO Galaxy S2 "Not part of our replacement program"?

Well i went back to stock (at least tried to) for the preperation of ICS and the maintenance update. That was a disaster. I have had over 25 android phones but i guess i thought it would be a good idea to check re-partition in ODIN cause i thought it would be an *extra good* flash. Ya now i have a FULL brick. Before i tried to reboot download mode, it said PARTTABLE missing or something like that. And yes it was a full brick there was nothing i could do.
Whats even BETTER is that TMOBILE told me to shove it! "Oh this phone is not part of our replacement program." WTF. So they directed me to call Samsung which i did and it is now on it's way there. Since when does a phone i bought on the account less than six months ago not qualify for an exchange. Bastards. Well hopefully Samsung fixes it in a timely fashion and sends it back!
My wife recently broke her screen on her GS2 and they replaced it...
Geeze man, that's a major screw up. It's posted everywhere not to check repartition. and tmo has been replacing these phones for people.

For future reference you cannot and should not ever check re-partition with out a valid PIT file. It will always result in a brick otherwise.

I agree with you. It was a very very dumb move. But i was pretty sure there is a pit file in the same folder as i have odin and i put it in the correct box.
See i figured someone shafted me. That really sucks cause god knows samsung is going to take longer than it would have taken teabag-mobile! GRRRR.

Why would you go through all of that unrooting for an update that you will want to root ? I mean we all know what ICS looks like... i guess i just dont understand why you even wanted to do that when we have multiple Twiz flavored ICS roms that have 0 bugs and even ASOP and MIUI ICS Roms with very few bugs..

samsung had my device back to me in 5 days. i mailed it on a Monday and got it back on a Friday. brand new device not a refurb.
dude I have done two replacements on this phone You should never ever ever call tmo on the phone to get anything done period. Go to a corporate tmo store not one of those dealers a full tmo store and deal with them face to face. Those idiots over the phone are stupid and they dont care, but when you are face to face they will respect you more and try harder. And they dont just call the same number we call when you go to a corporate store they actuall get to the right people. Hell I dont even call them to change my plan I go to the store. You know how many times I just wanted to make a small change in my plan and they gave me a problem or they did the wrong thing and then I went to the store and they fixed it without a problem. I know it might be a pain in thew ass I work 70+ hours a week and I dont have a car but I still find a way Thats my two cents
If you gave tmo warranty call again they should replaxe it.

I am currently on my 4th S2 since NYE when I purchased the phone, never have I had issues getting a replacement. The only issues ive had have been trying to go around the.$20 fee since I dont have thr insurance but even that can be waived easily
My first replacement had issues so I quickly returned till I had a decent one then that one stopped charging after like 6 months.

definitely! also this last time they offered me a $3.99/month for LIFETIME WARRANTY so as long as i don't have any water damage or screen physical damage, i am set well that is until the next top of the line phone comes out, and no the SIII isn't good enough to switch at least from what i've read about it

That's funny, we've had the reverse experience.
The T-Mobile store people have frequently lied to us. When we signed up during their Valentine's Day deal they lied about the plan requirements, they lied about transferring our old phone numbers to T-Mobile that day, they told us we could downgrade from unlimited talk and 5GB data in two weeks, then two weeks later they said we couldn't.
In the end we just called T-Mobile CS the next day who transferred our numbers and changed our phone plans with no fuss at all. Now we never bother dealing with the T-Mobile store in person, my girlfriend gets pissed off just thinking about them.

service varies greatly from store to store, and agent to agent on phone as well. But I will say this that.if you know the right things to say you can get more done over the phone

Same here. I want to at least have time to mess around with it in the store before I get it.
Only a handful of stores got them in today, and they were supposedly LTE launch cities. The full release was pushed back to the 28th. I got mine in today, and all I can say is: EPIC.

Just wanted to update everyone on my visit to the Sprint store today. I went by the local Sprint store here earlier and I was also told that the release of the SGIII to them got pushed back. They told me that they could get them as early as next week, but there was a chance they would not get them until the 1st of July. At any rate, I went ahead and placed my order and got put on the waiting list. I was waiting patiently, yet anxiously, and expecting to hear the lady at the store tell me that I was like number 5 million to be on the list...LOL...Come to find out, I was only the 5th person to order one...which is good because that will mean I will get mine out of the first batch they get. Now I get to sit and impatiently wait...LOL

He replied, "Apple will do anything to delay the release of other phones."

Um, sorry but doubtful. A sprint store guy wouldnt know more than a vast internet full of info leakers. (including ISN). Right now theres no indication that Apple has anything to do with anything. People got their 16 gb'ers today, and all signs point to other shipments soon or in progress. This smells exactly what it is, a supply problem.
I went by my Sprint store today. They didn't have the phone, but they had cases for the phone for sale...

Same here I need to hold a product before I buy it. But my heart is set on it just need my mind set on it..... Plus I still need to decide color.... I like white but think it might get old after a while.... Plus then case options are limited compared to darker tones.

I skipped pre ordering because I figured that it wasn't really worth tying up my money for a whole month. Kind of regretting it now. I've called every Sprint, Best Buy, and Radio Shack near me and no one has it on this side of Atlanta. Super bummed.

Sorry to disagree, but the consensus is that no stores, sprint or authoriized retailers, have gotten these in yet anywhere. If u know of any specific locations that have, however, of course I'd be interested to know.

Best Buy screwed up

Ok, so I got this phone on release day from BB. Had it for about two weeks and got a small crack in the screen. Took it bad to BB to use the insurance, and they said it should only take like three or four days to send it out and fix it. Needless to say, it didn't. I went round and round with them for three weeks, calling a couple times a week to get the repair status, and they could never tell me anything more than that it was still at the service center waiting on approval. Four days before the 30 day mark, I called the 888-best buy number and complained about it taking so long to fix a cracked screen , they called my local store and talked then in to just replacing it that day (four days early from 30 days). Cool right?
Well, that was almost three weeks ago. Today, my wife gets a call from our local BB (the account is in her name), and send me this email earlier:
"They just called and said your phone cannot be fixed so they want to replace it with a new one!! LMAO.
I said I’m pretty sure he received his new phone already and they said we show that there was no credit given to this account. I said okay well I will
contact my husband and have him call you. They show no record of you getting a new phone or crediting you!!! UNBELIEVABLE."
Should I give it a shot? Then she could have this one without having to use her upgrade! Lol

No, never got the loaner phone cause we have four lines on our account. One of them we don't use, so I just used that line during that time and refused the loaner

I hope not. That's what I was wondering too. I'd hate for them to figure out it and try to charge me for the device or something. Then again, it would be after the fact. I'm going to call him tomorrow and see what the deal is. But, if there is no record of it...well....sorry bout your bad luck BB! I guess he asked how she wanted to handle it, so maybe I could have them ship it to the house. Depending on who is working that day, they may recognize me if I went in, and the wife is a terrible liar so she's to scared to go.

motorola website was slow for me right when 9:00 AM hit (Pacific)
and now, its back order

i kept refreshing the page, and it said 11 Central "its time" as soon as 11 hit, I tried to purchase 3, then 2, then 1, but the online traffic made the site slow, for me at least, then 9 freaking 15 hits, and its back ordered.
$400 offered to who got a 360 and dont want it

I ordered straight from Moto.
After refreshing lots and lots, the website crash for 2 minutes. The backorder for grey version of the watch went through. I check my order history and now have 2 orders. Now have to call to cancel one of the orders.

I'm in the process of calling the customer service to cancel one of the order. I'm on a 20 minute hold. Someone will get it as soon as I cancel one of the order.
