Have you flashed boot.img ?
yes i have, i have tried doing it before the rom install and after the rom install but no luck. i have also tried the many methods of wiping the phone and caches.
which hboot version you have? You need hboot 1.3x or higher.

Actually how did you install it all? Like unlocking at HTCDev.com
Which custom recovery are you using?
You don't need SuperSU, cause Android Revolution is a rooted ROM.

You said you rooted it with supersu, but that shouldn't be a problem, cause when you wiped everything and flashed a new ROM. It should be clean.
Do you flash the boot.img from the flashed ROM? And doesn't it give your errors?
Have you tried another ROM? Maximus is also close to stock.

you need to have the recovery.img file and the SDK set correctly on your system, do the following:
Code:
fastboot erase recovery
Code:
fastboot flash recovery path/to/recovery.img

Not true. I've been using TWRP for around a year now on various devices and haven't one had a single problem flashing anything. It's better than cwm in every way

it depends on points of view i've nothing against TWRP, i use it on my Transformer and it is pretty good, better layout and view of the raw CWM but on the HOX i prefer using the CWM, i would love to see a port of the best recovery out there, the 4EXT
It is the Evita version, on ATT. I decided to RUU it and start from scratch. this time however i am going to use Hasoon2000's all in one kit instead of the traditional method. ill post an update in a little bit to see if the roms will successfully flash second time around
Ok so after re unlocking the bootloader and re rooting the phone. TWRP v2.3.1.0 still fails to flash roms. which doesnt make sense because it was able to flash superuser. does anyone have an explanation for this or do i have to flash CWM?
Update: was able to successfully flash CM10. must have just been those particular ROMs.

You might want to check out the EVITA forums, then. This one is for ENDEAVORU.
Advice and software you find here is likely to be wrong.
I know this thread is old but im having EXACTLY the same problem. and i looked in the Evita section and theres nothing. i have the At&t version too but the only rom i can seem to install is cm10. ive re flashed several versions of twrp and still the same thing happens. ive recently s-offed my device and im wondering if thats the reason for my troubles. did relocking and running the RUU solve your problems? can you flash other roms now or still only cm10?
First off, sorry for posting here, I'd like to post in the actual rom thread but I don't have 10 posts yet.
I've installed the avatar rom, its getting to the custom splash screen and then freezing.
This is normally a boot.img problem.
The thing is just I've updated my HBoot to 1.39 and I don't know what boot.img files are compatible.
I've flashed several boot.img files from various roms I've used before, but none seem to be working.
The last comment in the avatar thread is this :
If you're on the new hboot you need a special boot.img that is everywhere on the forums.

Because I can't find it....
You just flash the boot image from within the Rom zip file?
I do that with every other Rom I've tried. I have no idea if/why that Rom requires a special boot.img.

Because some ROMs are incompatible with newer hboots.
@OP
See attachment. I am assuming that a modded boot for CM10 does the trick since Avatar is heavily based on CyanogenMod. Let me know if it works.
You must always use the boot.img supplied in ROM.zip. If you flash ROM A and then use boot.img from ROM B, it ain't going to work.
At the moment you need a special boot.img with nearly all 4.1.x AOSP ROMs, with a new hboot version. With 4.2.x ROMs you don't need any tinkering just flash and go.
Thanks for the modded boot.
Yes dude.
It works.
You awesome genius bastard you.
My pleasure!
It might be worth noting that GPS is broken with this boot. No workaround yet, you need to flash an Android 4.2 ROM if you really need to use it.
Haha dude, spent 3 hours trying to get this ONTO my phone.
I think it'll stay for at least a day or two...
Thanks again.
I need help to recover
Hi,
I am new to rooting, I've unlocked my HTC One X, and have backed up the stock rom through the recovery nandroid, I've flashed the Renovate 1.1 ROM, then I've decided to go back to stock ROM, when I've done it I would be stuck on Airplane mode, and this happened when I first tried to flash the renovate without flashing the boot.img that comes with it...when I've flashed the boot.img the problem is solved...so now I need help getting the boot.img file for the backed up stock rom...any ideas where I can start from?

hi guys
im having problems in flashing many roms
these are some information about my phone
Build: 3.14.401.31
Hboot: 1.36.000
CID: HTC_101
RECOVERY : TWRP v.2
i was able to flash roms as Android revolution, viper, blade, ordroid
but i failed with these roms
Sky Dragon v.16.2 Ultimate - phone restarts repeatedly
airplane mode it's in "turning off" so there is no signal on:
MIUI; Orio; Insertcoin
force close of android process:
Sentinel Rom; CyanogenMod; Ice cold jelly; Slim beam; Nik Project
Paranoid Android - phone stucks on boot screen
those roms should work on my phone as hboot version is supported. Why all these problems?
Is your install procedures correct.
Flash the boot.img, make a FULL wipe and install the rom.....i know its basic but safe to ask first

yes, i always use these procedures.
I had a desire hd and, because of the s-off, things were much practical. Thought i was ignoring checking something important, but wasn't able to understand what..
ps. i apologize for my bad english
Can't think of the missing link yet. I know that the miui roms often needs a different boot.img to boot correctly. The others should easily work.....
Did you checked the MD5 sums from the roms that didn't boot ?
yes, for some of them i checked.
Tried changing even the recovery but it didn't work. Actually i have this problems since i unlocked the phone (december). But a the time i read that aosp roms wasn't compatible with the new hboot versions, so i never saw this as a real problem untill a few weeks ago..

What is not working ? Give me more info
just tried to flash a few aosp roms but, when they boot, it repeatedly says process com.android.phone force close. Instead Paranoidandroid remain stuck on the boot screen
basically the same problems that i had with hboot 1.36
Probably a Rom issue i guess !
I don't know Hofs, it's very strange. We're talking about different roms. As far as i searched i found a very little number of persons with some of those issues and they were able to solve the problem just trying to reflash the roms (maybe because their problem was just a bad download).
Downloading another rom from the list of the not working ones, let's hope it works
Edit. Skydragon doesn't work either
i apologize for the double post

Hello there,
I'm a flash junkie and recently updated my phone to CM11, coming from CM10.
In this process my phone went from S-Off to S-on. Is this always the case? And how can I fix it? Because I don't want to fastboot every time I flash a nightly. Thanks in advance!

It is imposible flashing ROM to make the device from S-OFF to S-ON. The rom don't have to do nothing with the HBOOT and can't change the security flag on ONE X international.

If he can, I will personally flash as many roms as needed to investigate this unexpected S-ON behaviour.

Sarcasm-ON, hilarious! LOL. How is it possible that on cm10 i could flash roms via cmupdater without flashing the boot.img? Now on cm11 my phone will not start up without the boot.img....
And did someone follow RumRummer tutorial for S-Off? Successfully?
Thanks in advance!
Because cm 11 is kitkat and cm 10 is not. Not all updates require a new boot.img.
If you go to a "new" rom you need to flash the boot.img. if a rom gets an update and it's purely a small software update it may not require a boot.img update.
Cm11 is completely different from cm10.
And rumrunner does not work.

YES You can now root your Verizon HTC One M7 4.10.605.3 successfully
Some user ayanami00 has posted this on another post under such a thread. Plus many other users have backed this fact.
"version 2.0 does work, have HTC One m7 running 4.4.2 sense 6. ran Sunshine on device it rebooted twice to complete. Then flashed TWRP recovery v 2.7.1.1. Then entered TWRP recovery it automatically prompted me to install supersu for root. Very easy and IMO was worth $25. Now I can finally try out a custom rom."
It is a paid aap though. Costs $25 as of now. You are not charged if you dont get S-OFF, or if charged you will be refunded, if the S-OFF does not happen for you.
Head to www.theroot.ninja
SunShine does not root the phone though!
The instructions specifically say that you must be rooted in order for SunShine to work. How am I able to unlock and s-off if i'm not rooted?
Currently there is no way to root the verizon htc one m7, sense 6, 4.10.605.3
I'm confused sorry

It still works. I was in your situation yesterday, and it worked for me. When you start the app it will give you the option of "temp rooting" it if you're not already rooted. Honestly, the process was incredibly easy.
So does this mean you can flash roms now? Like cyanogenmod?
s-off and Root
Nope, you don't any longer need to be rooted to used Sunshine.
One of its steps is Temp Root. Then it does its magic. Well worth $25 cuz there is no other way.
Google search for 'Sunshine s-off' and see the newest front page with newest instructions and download.
And yes, you can use any compatible custom rom you'd like!

When you wipe before installing your custom rom, you can do the factory reset wipe,
and in Advanced Wipe, you can do Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, and System.
But don't wipe internal storage, or you'll lose everything on the internal sdCard including
the rom you want to flash.
