I am so unlucky on my 3rd Verizon HTC One in first week.
I paid full price to keep unlimited data.
1st one screen was very greenish so VZW store replaced it.
2nd one screen was noticeable darker compared with demo unit and VZW store replaced it again.
I am on my 3rd One. It has a stuck hot pixel visible in white background (tried apps didn't fix). Picture attached.
Store staff didn't replace it said store can only replace new phone twice. Is this true?
Then I spoke with manager and he said he didn't see it and bad pixel is not defective phone refused to exchange.
What can I do?
That's not a bad pixel...that looks like a backlight defect.

i ordered a replacement phone but i feel mine still has a better screen. I'm going to send it back, but should i just send back the phone they sent me or should i just tell them beforehand
Am I the only one confused? Reword?

I think he's saying that he ordered a replacement phone, but the one he initially had (the one being replaced) has a better screen than the one they sent him (the one doing the replacing). That being said, he is now wondering if he should send back his 1st device (with better screen) or send back the 2nd device.
Honestly, call T-Mobile, I had to do this when I had the mytouch4g during this past year. It had screen issues & they sent me a replacement with the crappier one. Call them & tell them. They're pretty decent about switching it out til you're happy.
the white unicorn.
You can send the replacement back, just make sure you write down the imei and tracking numbers! Otherwise they will say you never returned the phone, because they will be expecting your imei. This happened to me. I even called beforehand and told them, but still received a $500 charge for an "unreturned handset" that took them 3 months to reverse.

Seriously thought... I'm getting another replacement in the mail tomorrow due to the other replacement having a purple tint. (3rd replacement) I see people posting how they walked into a store and got a replacement there... How do you guys walk into stores and get replacements instead of having to get them through the mail?
PS. Verizon Nexus not GSM.
Its at the Verizon stores with tech support in them. Sometimes they will do that there.

Gotcha. If this next one doesn't work I might be going to a razr maxxx.

I wouldn't recommend razr maxx. My friend had one screen went faulty within a week
It's of my understanding that Verizon corporate stores are the way to go for troubleshooting and the replacement has to do with quantity and model of phone in the store at the time. Clearly they don't want to be tossing out devices that are fresh. I've never been offered up a straight replacement but have been with two people, one with VZW and the other TMOB and both were exchanged on the spot.
The new replacement is almost here. So hopefully it gets here and is working perfectly. We will see.

I've had my GS3 for a few months now. A few days ago I noticed a single green pixel stuck in the "on" position. I was able to press and rub the screen enough that it went away. Well, now it's back and the pressing and rubbing doesn't help. I'd really like to fix this issue without the hassle of unrooting and returning/exchanging. I did install this free app called Dead Pixel Detect and Fix, which is suppose to help with stuck/dead pixels. I've ran the fix for two nights in a row and I have to say the green pixel is less noticeable, (if that's even possible). I may run it a few more times just to see if it diminishes even more, but has anyone else had this issue? Found success in fixing the issue?
After a few days my screen issue has not improved. I decided to go through the hassle of unrooting and returning my phone to Sprint. I called my local Sprint store this morning and was told by the woman working that since I don't have insurance I'd have to deal directly with the manufacturer, and send in my phone for repair or possible exchange. When I informed her that would leave me with out a phone, (for possibly a long while) she just acknowledged the fact and basically had the attitude of it's my problem to deal with.
Does this seem right to anyone? True I do not have insurance but it is clearly a manufacturer's or component defect of a 2-month old phone. Why won't Sprint send it back to the manufacturer and give me a loaner phone in the meantime? Any advice would be clearly appreciated.
Im not sure what you want Sprint to do for you. You don't have insurance what else is there left to be said? Maybe next time you get a new phone you'll have some type of insurance.
As far as a loner goes just look in Craigslist for cheap ass Sprint phone, I'm sure you could find one for 20 or 30 bucks.

Do you work for Sprint? I don't think I'm being unreasonable. I'm not asking for Sprint to fork over a new phone. Just a loaner phone so I can send my phone to Samsung for repair.
Anyone else have any suggestions besides finding a 20 dollar phone on Craigslist. ?
Sprint sells refurbished phones on its website that reqhire no contract extension.

Last time I had a manufacturers defect on a phone with Sprint, they ordered me another one and I kept mine until it arrived. You may check with the store and ask them.
My original HTC One M7 had 3.11.605.1 which ran perfectly, then I updated to 4.10.605.3, which kills that phone. Then I got a warranty replacement with 4.10.605.3, which I couldn't access the internal memory. Got another warranty replacement with 4.10.605.3, now that phone randomly reboots. I am getting pissed at verizon for this. They gave me the option to purchase the HTC One M8 for 599.99 - 300 coupon which makes it 299.99. Is that a good deal? How is the m8? Is it worth buying? Or should I call verizon and get another warranty replacement? any input would be appreciated?
Unfortunately you are playing Russian roulette with Verizon refurbished units. The m8 is nice but thats still a large chunk of change. I mean personally I would keep hammering away at Verizon and see what they are willing to do besides the coupon due to the amount of money you have to drop.

I went out and got an m8.
Hello guys,
I bought a G4 from the T-mobile and I have a screen brightness inconsistency.
middle portion of the screen is darker than other areas especially when I'm viewing gray color.
it seems like a burn in but I just got this phone (less than 24 hours)
is everyone's screen alright?
I'm thinking about going to tmobile store and compare the display with mine.
would t-mobile store swap it for me? or do i need to contact their tech support directly?
either way, I'm heading to t-mobile store when I finish my job today.
No issues here on my TMO G4..
no issues on my T-Mobile device either

To answer my own question I visited T-Mobile store and they confirmed mine was svere case of screen defect. Just in case they ran the diagnostic for me but everything seemed ok.
Since I only had it less then a day, they would replace it for me and no need to worry about IMEI changes on that freebies promotions.
I'm at T-Mobile store waiting on line for my turn. Hopefully I'll get something better. At least less painful screen to look at.
Thanks for the quick feedbacks guys.
