I do believe the firmware you are attempting to flash is not for your device. That firmware is for the SGH-T999, not the SGH-T999v. Hopefully you didn't brick your phone. Download the proper firmware and try again.
It was only the modem that you needed to flash, anyhow. Not the entire firmware package.

my phone works perfectly though, COULD you please tell me which firmware should i download then to do the downgrade ??

You gave conflicting information. You said it's a T999, but also it's from Wind. The Canadian carriers use model T999V. It is different. I'm assuming you have the T999V, in which case you simply just need to download the WIND 4.1.1 firmware for the T999V (build UVLDLL1 If I remember right). It's all in my firmware thread. Link in Sig.
And look under the battery to know what model you have.

This is no problem
wipe you're internal storage in recovery, it's best to do a factory reset in the stock recovery including caches and reboot and enjoy a fresh stock ROM

Your not the only one who had this problem... I which the mod would shut down the thread pushing rooting via flashing.
Too many newbies are having issues flashing.
I recommend saveroot.zip. It leaves your device's counter untouched. Also it is 100% safe.
Now what to do with your device since it is stuck at the Samsung logo.
You can do what I do for stuck screens. Power on, and hold only the up volume key. Keep it held until boot screen is finished.
If that does not work, go into recovery and clear cache and reboot.
If none of the options work, you may have flashed with an incompatible file, there are three versions and only one is specific to your device. you can try re-flashing with a good file.

Hello,
I am having a heck of a time finding this. Would you please point me in the right direction?

[Q] Grand Duos I9082 Bricked & ROM Issue

Hello guys, so I have this Galaxy Grand Duos I9082 with what appears to be a soft brick, so I got it in Download Mode, got a stock ROM and tried to flash it with Odin but it keeps failing. I tought I was not using a proper stock ROM but since there are no roms for my region (South America) I was using a Spain region rom. Does this has anything to do with the failure? My galaxy is the international version I think.
I used 4.2.2 and 4.1.2 with no success. Also I used the .pit file and still no success.
Changed USB cable, USB port, but Odin still fails at flashing.
What do I do now? I think I'm in a dead end now

Are you able to boot into recovery? If so, your phone is soft-bricked. Simply restore a backup of a working ROM. ?

If you don't have a Developer Edition then you cannot root. Only the Developer Edition Note 4 can be rooted, not the retail version. If you did not buy your Note 4 directly from Samsung, not Verizon, then you have the retail version, not the Developer Edition. If your phone was advertised as "unlocked" and you did not buy it from Samsung, then you have a carrrier "unlocked" phone, not a bootloader unlocked phone.

Thanks a lot for the reply. I have read on a few sites that the model SM-N910V was indicative of the developer model. I guess that is not the case? If not I hope someone is able to figure out a root solution. Is it possible that updating the samsung software from NI1 to NJ5 could lock the bootloader?

Yes if you're using the wrong firmware. There is a version that is safe for the Developer Editon in that it does not "touch" the bootloader. Look in the Android Development section of this forum.

Use Odin, will recommend full wipe if coming from custom rom.

K its only going back to stock to send back to carrier. But you cant clean install with odin so it has to be done in recovery no?
Odin will clean install because you don't need a custom recovery to install, all recovery can do is reset.
Once you Odin stock after factory reset you loose root and you get stock recovery.

I'm familiar with the files for: the modem (modem.bin) and the LTE modem/or WiFi driver (non-hlos.bin); but I'm not familiar with a pit file. What is a pit file?
