[Q] Home button replacement - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Got my hands on a S3 with a broken screen and a really scratched up home button, and I'd like to replace both I've done a glass replacement, and I noticed the actual home button was held in with some rubbery clips. I wasn't sure if the home button was attached to some sort of flex cable,
so I decided to leave it alone instead of taking the risk.
So can the home button be replaced without the flex cable?
Thank you!

Unfortunately the screen has shifted all the display ( time, Weather, etc to the left)

[Q] cracked glass

Mistakes were made, pockets had holes in them, phones were dropped. Now that I've gotten over the original shock of dropping my glide, I'm reviewing my options. I think i want to just replace the glass myself, but i can't find the part. I've seen a few places selling the whole screen assembly, but from what i can tell, my actual screen under the glass is fine. Does anyone know if i can get -just- the glass? or is the screen and the glass glued together or something?
edit: oh god, a thousand apologies. really didn't mean to post this in this section, could a mod please move? i cant seem to find the delete button.
According to this video

I dont think the glass can be changed without the screen.
This does not belong in the Development Section and I am wondering why no one hit the report button....

Question about cracked screen/glass

My friend dropped his SGS3 a while ago and the screen cracked from one of the top corners. Now I know if it's just the glass, the repair cost isn't really high. But how do you know if it's just the outer glass that's cracked or the actual screen as well? If the screen still works (responds to touch) etc, does it mean its just the outer glass?

Click to collapse
If everything else works fine (touch, colors, no leak and such) then chances are the it's only the outer glass. Although, opening it would confirm it.

[Q] Lense Cover came off

Basically the plastic piece that covers the lense came off and some dust got in.
Now i see little black smudges when im trying to take pictures. Is there a way to put it back on and fix these smudges?
Thanks guys

Broken LCD or Digitizer?

Hey guys,
I tried searching through the forum but has not found any solutions to my specific case. I dropped my phone earlier today and it resulted in no physical damage on the screen but the touch screen does not respond and shows up fragmented/ or remain blank. So I have a few questions:
1. Is the LCD broken or the digitizer? and to replace it which one could I buy and has anyone attempted it? could one of you send me a link to what should be bought?
2. the phone is one month old, could I claim warranty on it as the screen is in perfect condition and no physical damage at all on the body aside from a few light scratches.
3. If all else fail what way do I have of wiping the phone clean? (it is stock rooted)
Thanks!!!
