Hi All,
I have a Rogers I747 system Dump uploaded to my drop Box.
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5zbwf3fjpimethj/BfgAAhppni
Enjoy!
Awesome, thanks! I've been looking to go back to my Rogers stock (on dietics now), but couldn't find out how. Can I just flash this or does something need to be done to it first?

Would this help with Root and not updating the counter?
Do not flash system dump
Hello, everyone.
DO NOT flash the Rogers System Dump, or any system dump for that matter.
It's simply a set of system files from a Rogers unit, which will help developers design a ROM around a Rogers base.
I sent my Rogers system dump to a few developers for this purpose. Hopefully, over the next few days, we'll have a new ROM with all the features of the Rogers ROM, and without the AT&T influence (they have a habit of ruining good features).
If you're looking for a stock Rogers ROM, you'll have to wait.

Do you, or anyone, know if there is a stock.tar rogers firmware floating around? Would be great to provide to the devs here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426 so that we can have a root only solution for Rogers.
I wish I knew ...

I'm also looking for such a file. I'd like to have it, just in case.

P.S. To anyone who knows the answer, what happens if I take an existing custom ROM, for example, the DIET ICS ROM, and overwrite the system files with my Rogers system dump, repack the ZIP file and then flash? Would this work? Would this then become a flashable stock Rogers ROM?
Although I'm quite experienced and familiar with rooting, flashing, etc., this is getting a bit beyond me.
can you post just the modem.. so we can try flashing to at&t and see if we can get the ability to choose 3g/4g /networks thanks.

Lol, sometimes these things are best left to the devs, trust me.

You're right. I played around with a custom ROM, tried a few tests, and none worked. Fortunately, I did a Nandroid immediately beforehand, so all is well.
I'll wait for a real developer to make a proper ROM.

I wish I could, but I have no idea how to extract the modem.

Anyone want to post steps to do a dump? I've got a Telus model here that's just aching to be helpful to the cause. Although I have already rooted/installed CWM....
I could always just go borrow someone else's for 20 minutes and dump to my SD card though.

To Dump...
go to your command prompt and type
"adb pull /system C:/sgs3/system.img"
C: is your C drive and sgs3 is a folder which you would have to create.
Takes about 15 - 20 minutes and i believe this is a system dump....
I am not sure how to do a modem dump... i guess it would be a folder in there which needs to be pulled.
Rogers Modem
Hello guys,
I followed this guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1705650 (credits to: UpInTheAir)
And I extracted my Rogers modem!
Here it is! Rogers SGH-i747M Modem DUMP (I747MVLLE8) :good:
Flashable version! modem_CWM_Rogers_i747M.zip
Is it the modem or the ROM that allows LTE toggle on our Canadian I747M (compared to our AT&T neighbors) ? Based on my experience with modem flashing from Nexus S and i9100M, my download and upload speeds, and latency and overall connection stability were affected.
If this modem is flashable, I want to try using AT&T modem to see if I get better connection stability.

I cannot believe AT&T doesn't offer the option to disable LTE. I guess they are after increased data consumption, but at the expense of customer dissatisfaction due to worse battery life...come on! I guess we really don't have it as bad as we think with Rogers.

It's the rom that supports the lte toggle, not the modem.

Hey there guys,
I looked everywhere to find the answer to this question, but I have yet to find it. My roommate just bought an unlocked ATT Galaxy S4 and he has T-mobile service. However, he doesnt get wifi calling and that feature is vital. So here is my question:
Is it possible to flash the 100% stock odin T-Mobile Galaxy S4 rom on an unlocked ATT Galaxy S4 without any issues? What should I do? I appreciate any help out there that I can get.
Andrew
From my research (due to the exact same issues), the ATT s4 has different radio hardware, so it wouldn't work, at least not with a stock T-mobile rom.

But if I flash the tmobile radio or the modified att radio with AWS enabled, I should be ok right? The thing I worry about the most is bricking the device via odin flash.
There are threads about applying an AWS patch to AT&T phones to make them work on T-Mobile's network. I have not personally tested but was under the impression the radio hardware was ok it was more of a matter of TMo using one frequency for download vs upload on AT&T (or vice versa). A TMo sales rep told me he did that on his girlfriend's phone (which is an S3) and got it to work fine.

Don't Odin flash different variant's 100% stock images. If it's a CWM/TWRP flashable ROM you won't have any problems so long as you use the AT&T kernel. Flashing other variant's radios/firmware may cause problems. With you having an AT&T device, use modem/baseband/firmware. The AT&T AWS Enabled Radio can be found here
I have been searching the web for long time try to find the exactly same answer, but I haven't found any reliable source on it. If anyone has tried this and work, please post a guide here for us, thanks ahead!

I'm running the ModdedUAMDL_v2 on my i337 right now with no issues. I have also flashed the AWS enabled modem and haven't had a problem with data at all. Just be sure to flash a LOKIFYED kernel after flashing the ROM or it won't boot.

I just found this thread. I enabled the AWS frequencies on my i337, can you post what ROM you used and what instructions you used? so do you have wifi calling enabled now?
Thanks
my main two interests are
-wifi calling
-mobile hotspot, as it is included in my plan but the AT&T rom won't let me use it
You can use any of the touch wiz roms in the t-mobile section. Just make sure to flash att kernel

Ok I flashed a pure rooted stock rom on my att galaxy s3 everything works good but the wifi switch won't turn on is there something I did wrong or is there a fix. Don't give me "hey it's cause you flashed a tmobile rom on a att phone" lol any help would be great
Just flash an att stock Rom. You should be ok.

I use Tmobile and I got the phone for free and unlocked it I want the stock t mobile cause I use wifi calling.
If you don't mind describing what T-Mobile ROM you flashed on the AT&T SGH-i747 that would be great... I was considering this too. What Modem and Kernel did you use as well. Or possibly post the thread you did this from.
Thanks
Can I use these roms in my T889I? I have it unlocked and running on AT&T and would love to put an AT&T based rom in it. Right now I'm running stock UVALJ1. I'd also like to bump up to 4.3. There's not much to choose from over on the T-Mobile side.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Anybody?
Surely someone must know.
I did a search and found no relative answers.
I'd like to try the Sky Note 4.3.
Thanks.
Yes you should be able to flash AT &T roms without any issues. I have even seen many T889 users on Skynote 4.3 thread trying it on their mobiles, go through that thread before flashing.

Make sure not to flash AT&T modem.
Hi I'm sorry if this has already been answered , but is it safe to just flash any sprint/boost Rom to the Sprint version of the s3 ? Again it is flashed to Boost currently , so would putting a boost ROM instead of "modified" sprint stock ROM work ?
Sorry if it sounds confusing I just wanted to clear that up, in my eyes I'm figuring that since it is sprint, and flashed to boost, installing a new ROM would mess with the flash and put it back to sprint, which of course we don't want.
I just wanted to double check with the community before flashing away, thanks in advance for any answers.

I believe it would work just fine, i recently flashed a stock sprint ROM to my out of box Boost S3, Problem here is you might find it difficult getting Boost Stock ROMs especially the JB 4.3. you might also want to do NAM Backup before you proceed in flashing.
