Hello,
I am on jedi x11, I installed the cube player from play store. It installed and when I hit play, there is no sound.
I tried fix permission, cleared cache and dalvik , unfortunately it didn't fix the problem.
Any ideas?
Works fine for me. Try another player. If that does not work reflash the rom with a fresh dl
Re: Cube player not working
I tried other players like winamp, Poweramp, stock music player, they all work. It is just cube that no sound comes out.

Then it either gonna be a rom or kernel issue.I would uninstall the app then reboot to recovery. Wipe cache then dalvik. Then re download app. If that does not work I would flash a different kernel just to try it out.
Got it fixed
I uninstalled the cube player app
deleted the rockon folder
wipe cache
wipe dalvik cache
fix permission
installed again the app from play store.
Now it is fixed!
I hope the dev will update the app,
I use BT headphones. Although the next, previous buttons works, the play/pause function button doesn't.
I have to stop or play the music directly on the phone.

I think that is normal. I have to do the same on cloud skipper or the Sony walkman on master 10

Hello,
My music player doesn't detect the new music I copied from my pc to my sdcard.
If I open the music player I only see the old music, but not the new music I recently copied to my mobile.
I already delete "data" by going to Settings/Apps and rebooted my mobile multiple times, but it still doesn't detect my new music.
I put the new music files to /music on my card, like the other files and the files aren't broken or sth like that. Normal mp3 files with id3 tags.
Can someone help me?
I'm running the latest CM9 on my Wildfire S.
What music app is that? Is that the one that comes in the ROM?
I suggest you try Apollo or the Google Play music app.
I'm using the stock cm9 music app,
already tried apollo and googlemusic app but without any success
I have the same problem on the Alpha1. Is it a bug? The sd card not reindexing media files after a remount from the PC?
aah, good to hear that I'm not the only one with this problem here
yes, I'm running the alpha1, too.
maybe you are right *se-nsei. and it's a bug.
Any idea how to fix it?
I'm really get tired of listening to the same music over and over again
I have no problem with that im using google play.
Fc when im using stock cm9 music but the problem its not about music library.

Try this app
for a temporary fix use this app! It worked for me!
Rescan SD Card!
The "rescan sd" app works. I think its a good solution for now. I hope it will be fixed with the next Update. Hope that the ums bug will be fixed soon, too.
Thanks for your answers guys
I think Dev Tools has a media scanner that you can run which SHOULD update the music library and gallery but haven't tested that with music on cm9 yet (Worked on cm7).
Solution is here !!!!!!!!!!!!
do three things ,
1. go into settings >> apps >> all apps >>appollo >> clear app data and cache
2. reboot the phone
3. thank me , if it worked .... which it's must gonna be , enjoy

well i knew that post is very old and OP must find out solution ,
but what i can see here is no one gives him solution ,
so my reply will help more and more people in future and at present also ...
who came to this thread to find out the solution .............. like me .
and one of them is writing this comment .
I just did a wipe of system, cache, factory data, then installed Jelly Bean CM10 and Gapps. Now Amazon MP3 will stream my music but won't download anything to the kindle. I get the message No Network Connection, although I obviously have a good one.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
My problem seems to be only with certain files. Most files download fine.
After full wipe I flashed latest beta and pics aren't shown in gallery and also I'm unable to pick mp3 as a ringtone.
I've done the trick with mix player and it doesn't help.
Can someone help me with this?

Check for the file named “.nomedia” (without quotes) in the root folder of your SD card. This file tells media scanner not to search for media in this folder and its subfolders. If you find this file in the root directory then simply delete it. The issue is caused probably by newest ROM manager. Some users report that this file is recreated after reboot. In this case I would temporary downgrade the ROM Manager to older version. Hit the THANKS button if I helped you
I also have the same issue. There's no stray ".nomedia" that I can find in my SD card. Logcat entries contain no related error message.
If you use MXPlayer, in settings there is an option about .nomedia. Diasble it. Sometimes that cause this kind of problems.
Try Wiping Dalvik and fix permissions
Clearing cache, dalvik cache and fixing permissions don't work. Strange thing is that newly captured screenshots and photos appear in the Gallery app right away. The disappearance apply just to the existing images and music files in built-in Gallery and Music app. Third-party image browsing apps like QuickPic are behaving correctly (showing all images, respecting .nomedia on selected folders appropriately.) Third-party music players (Google Play Music, Winamp, etc.) however can't find any music tracks, behaving exactly like the original Music app. Bumping so that yozgatg might take a look.
Alternatively you can use QuickPic and set up included folders manually.

Didn't work. I've tried both fixing permissions from CWM and from ROM Toolbox Lite. I don't think this is a temporary problem that can be resolved by clearing cache and fixing permissions. For images there are plenty of alternative apps that can be used, but it's currently a dead end trying to list music tracks
COPY ALL SDCARD FILES TO A PC FORMAT THE SD CARD AND COPY BACK ONLY THE IMPOTANT FOLDERS LIKE ANDROID AND THOSE CONTAINING THE PICTURES AND MUSIC FILE LEAVE THE REST
HIT THANKS IF IT HELPED:good::laugh:
I have this problem too. On over ROM (jelly bean) .

Guys, I found the solution posted here (from the Galaxy Note sub-forum) works for me today. All music tracks and pictures are back :good: Give it a try! Credit goes to matius44 on that thread.
Edit: AFAIK, the steps listed in this fix apply to ICS only. I haven't tried it in a JB build yet.
No. Not workng for me. CM10 JB HTC DESIRE Z.

Hi people, as the title suggests, any music playing app does not work. This includes MX player, ES file explorer, Apollo and Gmusic.
Gmusic gives : "Cannot play track requested" error. MX pretends to play it, but no sound comes out. I think it is an issue with my DSP manager, but even after multiple factory resets and reinstalls of the libs/apk, no profit.
I have attached a txt of
Code:
adb logcat *:W > Logcat.txt
as I pressed play on Gmusic.
I would greatly appreciate any help (I only want to use reinstall of CM11 as a last resort, since i dont have the install zip)
Thank you.
PS: Gmusic is Google music
Did this happen to anybody else?
I tried installing a newer version of the app, but it just doesnt work. All the other versions crash.
(Stock ROM, Lollipop Sense 7)
Make sure the options are checked in settings within the music app. You can try deleting the cache and data of the app and let it reload or go back to the original app (uninstall updates) and update it again.
Mine ain't downloading some of them either, even with legit ID3 tags. Are your ID3 tags on the songs proper?
If you just want to have your album arts (like I do) there are nice apps on the store that download them.
