Looking for a galaxy nexus in bad conditions - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

So I came up with a new phone with faulty mainboard, tried unbricking but no help. Here I found other people with the same situation: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1935251 .
It had only a few weeks and no, I can't send it back for warranty purposes.
So I wanted to ask if any of you have or know someone who has and is interested in selling an old gsm galaxy nexus (international version). from which I can use the mainboard and make a transplant or any other help would be greatly appreciated.
Any condition would be good if the mainboard still works correctly.
Sorry if this is not the correct place to post it (I think it is...).

Samsung Won't Replace my Galaxy Nexus GSM (made in Korea!) Help!

Hey guys! My phone's wifi antenna seems to be borked. Won't turn on (stuck at: "turning on wifi...", but never goes on), and it's causing my phone to reboot over and over and over again without stopping! Horrible! I tried to get Samsung to send me a replacement, but they won't because it was made in Korea. Anyone know what I can do? Has anyone had success getting a replacement GSM phone made by Samsung?
Please help! I'm really stuck! Thanks!
did you buy it off a website? Contact the website..

How do you know it's a hardware defect? Did you try reflashing the stock images?

We need more info. Are you rooted? What rom u on? Have you tried to use adb to go back to stock?

i was rooted when it started rebooting, so I went back to stock and the same thing happened. I'm 100% stock everything right now, locked bootloader and it wont stop rebooting. I don't really care to solve the problem of the rebooting, I just want to know how others here were able to send it in to Samsung and get a replacement (GSM model).
Anyone know?
Thye have told me they won't fix my UK supported GSM nexus also.
I would have to send it to the UK facility to get it repaired or replaced, but that facility will NOT accept shipment to/from the USA.... So I would have to find someone in the UK to accept the phone, send it it, receive it, and send it back to me.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. That is so sucky! I will never buy a phone off contract again!
buying a canadaian phone outright would probably be a pretty "normal" warrenty experiance...
Where did you purchase your Nexus? Try contacting the reseller to see if they can handle the warranty or repair for you.
Next time go with Negri Electronics if plan on purchasing another international phone.

I had the same problem but luckily I purchased my phone from Negri and well they have shipped it to Samsung for repair but I am without my Nexus for going on two weeks now and it could be up to 4 weeks before I see it again. But atleast they were kind enough to get it repaired for me.
OP tell us where you bought the phone from... it matters. Samsung (usually) won't process warranty claims if you imported a grey market device. You have to contact the site you purchased from to initiate the warranty claim.
This is why its so important to choose your importer carefully based on how they handle warranties.

Looking for a broken Captivate Glide OR a working motherboard

Hi,
I'm in a predicament. Bought a faulty Captivate Glide from some unscrupulous person on the internet, and it worked for about five minutes. Now the motherboard is fried and I need to replace it. No chance with Samsung - it's not under warranty because I bought it from someone. So I need to find another Glide, perhaps one with a broken screen, that someone is willing to sell to me for cheap.
Another option is, I need to find a place where I can get a compatible motherboard for the Glide.
Anyone?

Note 2 : Will motherboard replacement change IMEI number?

Hi Guys,
Really like this forum for many smartphones.
Here is my issue : I have a bad wifi chip(Definitely not a software issue, tried everything) and I asked the Samsung service center guy to go ahead and replace the motherboard.
I verified with him that would the IMEI number be changing with a new motherboard and he said that the IMEI number will not change for this phone even if the motherboard is replaced? How is this possible.
Is this guy trying to cheat me by charging me the full price for a new motherboard and ending up not replacing the board at all but instead doing some semi-satisfactory soldering work on the wifi chip to may be get it working temporarily?
Thanks in advance for answering
yep it wont change cuz the imei saved in the efs folder...so probably they have some tool to back it up from old main board and restore it to the new one ( if u are doing at samsung service center but im not sure about outside that )
Samsung Service Centre work is guaranteed...
They dont have tool to bakup efs, they write imei number using a tool on the new mother board. Same way it is done by z3x box.
Motherboards don't come with prebuilt imei from factory they are written on them using tools while packing the phone thats it is possible to write older imei to new/fresh motherboard .... I have worked in service centre they charge very much for their parts but don't do that kind of cheating stuff. You may get your phone's motherboard checked somehwere else to fine out if it's new or not

No. I messed with my phone and made IMEI null. went to them and they restored stock TW and still could not get IMEI back. hence said to replace motherboard. I later managed to bring it back without motherboard change. THe point here is that they will replace it happily.
P.S. I did this in bangalore.
Thanks and what was the cost and how long back was this, if you don't mind
My imei number is corrupted.

Here is my another post in different thread.

I managed to restore my IMEI. and till now I have done it several times. Go through posts after my post.
btw can you explain , how did u lose IMEI? Which ROM did u flash?
My old mother board imei no copied to new mother board. How do I check date of written on new mother board
If I have a new mother board replaced in my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 that won't power on, is there a chance I can get my pictures retrieved from that phone (that won't power on)?
The only easy way I know to possibly retrieve the pictures may be to try the motherboard in another working phone.
How was it determined that the motherboard is causing the power-on problem?

Google Pixel 2 XL Warranty through Vodafone DE

Hello!
I am writing, desperately, looking for an answer with my problem, which is: I want to buy the Pixel 2 XL from another Romanian here(I live in Romania). The phone is bought from Vodafone DE as stated on the receipt. My question is will I be able to use warranty if needed? Is there any way to verify if the phone is under warranty by typing the IMEI? I'm OK with sending the phone to Germany for warranty if needed, but I just wanted to be sure that the phone is under warranty before I make the decision of buying it. My last phone, a Nexus 6P died this January(long story short: fried eMMC chip, need to change the motherboard) and I am not going to make the mistake of buying another Google phone without warranty.
I've tried calling all numbers on the internet and also tried calling Vodafone Romania, but they couldn't help me.
This is my last hope, I hope the community will be able to help me.
Thank you!
Did you find answer to this? What happened at the end? Answer would be useful for others including me Thanks in advance
Just call Google or Vodafone DE and verify the warranty using the IMEI? I do this all the time and they give me an answer right away.

Cost prohibitive. Buy a replacement phone or live with it. With the 3 coming out soon, prices on the 2 will drop significantly and there will be a ton of refurbs available. Already $200 off on Fi.

You'd be wayyyy ahead by selling the VZN phone and getting an Unlocked phone, both on Swappa.
It's easy to take it apart, but not so much putting it back together right.
thanks for your reply but i live in France so i'll try to sell it here
