I have experiencing this issue with Bluetooth and I am unable to find any cure.:crying:
No matter which ROM I have installed or which kernel, some times when I try to turn on the Bluetooth the whole phone crashes and gets a bootloop. The only way I am able to fix this issue is either reinstall the ROM / restore from earlier nanobackup .
Has anyone else experienced anything similar to this.
Have you tried testing it on stock ROM? Flash ftf and enable bluetooth if your phone crashes then it's a hardware issue.

It's been a while since I have used stock ROM but guess I am gonna have to do so to figure this out .:silly:
Yeah just do a backup and try it out. Flashing to stock is always the best option ; D
Hey I had that issue,it used to work sometimes and sometimes just revert back to the xperia logo, and it caused me to change a lotta roms,i believe ur on ICS .For me GB and Jb worked fine(although i didnt try flashin a stock .ftf...) plz report if after flashing stock and then flashing same rom, same kernel the issue disappears..

Just wipe delvik cache from cwm recovery, now ur phone will boot.. Now extract bluetooth.apk from stock firmware & push it to system/apps with proper permission... Done..
OR, reflash stock rom with full wipe using flashtool

ROFL, he doesn't need to install CWM Recovery just to wipe all. He has stock recovery where he can do wipe data and cache or just put a code in the dialer.
Just shut off the phone and turn it on by pressing Home button + Power and you will get into stock recovery, then wipe data and cache.
i tried many ways like pressing the code in the dial pad, rebooting, wiping cache/data, reflashing but nothing happens

Try flashing another firmware
Sent from my GT-S5660 using xda premium
a new firmware would fix it why would u like 2.3.4 when the latest is 2.3.6, try to flash DXKT4 and then make a factory reset hope this helps
I would suggest, you give a shot to the new CyanogenMod 7.2
Follow this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1381355
I tell you, it is much more reliable than you might think. Moreover, because of the custom kernel, you can select some pre-installed CPU governor, so that your GIO become even a bit faster.
Good Luck
Hi,
First, i would like to know, you are upgrading from what firmware to what firmware? is it one package firmware or full package?
I would suggest you to flash it again, but this time, using the full package firmware. After that, don't forget to wipe data/cache, and then factory reset, all via recovery mode.
My exp about upgrading:
- from S5660DXKC3 (froyo, one package) to S5660DXKP6 (gingerbread, one package)
- unstable, lagging, wasteful of battery (bottom line is, disappointed)
Note that xkp6 2.3.6 on xda thread has been modified, on sammobile its a clean rom

Dear Friends,
I bought an "olleh" galaxy gio and updated it to 2.3.6 from Odin.
Now the"Olleh" logo do not show and in its place samsung generic logo show on startup.
Main problem is, since update, my "auto-rotate" option rotates screen in opposite directions and when switching on wifi or BT, it just shows "Error".
No detail of error is shown.
Except that everything is fine. Calling, texting and gaming...
I used the following ROM to update:
S5660XXKTF_S5660DBTKT1_S5660XXKT4_HOME.tar.md5
Please help me with WIFI as I need it very much and could save me alot.

When flashing with ODIN:
Make sure you flash the right firmware! If you flashed any firmware, it also flashes their model's and Country's: modem, csc, kernel, system, etc...
Thus resulting wifi, data, bluetooth, and connectivity errors.
Find the right Stock ROM for your Gio model here. Then use ODIN to flash it.
I installed the stable cm9..flashed the fxp133 kernel..the installation went smooth but my screen touch function is lost..Any ideas??
Eventually restoring to the stock kernel with JJ hybrid..and yeah the touch is working with this one. So is the problem cos of the kernel or the ROM??
I ll tell the sequence which i followed..let me know where i went wrong..i downloaded the ROM, extracted the boot.img, copied the original cm9 zip into the root of SD..used fastboot mode of flashtools to flash the kernel boot.img..then went into CWM..wiped out SD data..then cache..and then dalvik..and then proceeded to install zip from sd..it installed fine..and then i rebooted..it showed d FXP kernel logo and then CM9 bootscreen and then it loaded like it should..BUT the touchscreen isnt working at all..the hardware keys-power and back i checked were working but not the touchscreen..
Where did I go wrong..i am on baseband -72..bootloader unlocked..
You've installed correctly. Possibly a corrupt download, try re-downloading the zip.

I downloaded both official stable CM9 as well as the FXP one on uploaded.to...tried with each of them but with the same result..both cant be corrupt n it wouldnt have extracted if it was a corrupt download anyways..m still wondering whats wrong..
Also I flashed doomkernel and tried installing..again the same..touchscreen still doesnt work..aarghh..
Flash the kernel, wipe data, system, cache, dalvik, battery stats and flash cm9.
It should work...

Wiping battery stats does nothing to your phone. It doesn't change anything, it doesn't affect anything. It cannot be the problem.
Then what do u think the problem is..infact the installation works fine so i think i m not messing up anything on that front..

How is it not working? You can't acces wifi settings? Scanning doesn't result anything? You can connect but internet still doesn't work? Which kernel are you using?
Try re flashing this way....
Assuming you did a backup before... (and was on pac18)
Wipe data factory reset
Wipe cache
Wipe dvalik
Format system
Flash rom
Fix permissions
Reboot up to start screen (as if it is first loaded screen)
Hold volume up and power to reboot into recovery.
Advanced restore the data only from your backup.
Wipe cache and dvalik again
Reboot
(will probably work from just backing up what you have now)

I'd say do a nandroid backup from recovery so you'll have it booting up again. If you have a backup that is.
Then either flash or copy the files don't think you have to do both. And its usually safer to flash as you'll gett the right permission on the files.

edit: sorry for grammatical errors, im still upset it took four hours to get this phone back working again after doing a clean wipe
Interesting, I tried to install it, and was successful...but the keyboard doesnt work, every five seconds, i got a FC with the aosp keyboard. tried looking for another keyboard, but i cant type it in, so i guess i may have to put the apk on my sd card...also wifi doesnt want to turn on...is there no launcher in this rom? the home button doesnt work
to add, i have unlocked the bootloader, so im thinking this is a cosunmer-turned-into-a-dev phone...but i read that the rom was hybird...i really dont like safestrap, as it takes long to build a slot, so i figured unlocking the bootloader would be easy enough...but no...im using cwm 6.0.x

Every ROM listed for the RazrM (so far) is stock based, except CM10 and CM 10.1 . All the ones posted in this forum and DroidRzr were designed to be used with Safestrap and they are based on stock. Yes, you need to do a clean wipe for any ROM you install. However, I flashed Rage two nights ago and wiped cache/dalvik, factory data reset, but I DID NOT wipe system. It flashed perfectly. After you wipe, reboot recovery and mount system. After you wipe, TWRP says the system is mounted, but it is not. If you flash CM, you will need to flash a stock boot.img before you can go back to stock ROM.

Pristine is not an option in CWM Recovery but a way on how to get your system clean for a clean installation.
Pepoluan made a guide on how to do thiy you can read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044861&highlight=pristine
About sitcking while flashing with Odin you maybe are doing something wrong. For example forgetting to put a check at a field or there is something wrong with your hardware. Try an other USB port and make sure it´s a native one but not a hub.
Thanks
