i mean like will a sprint galaxy s3 lcd/glass/digitizer (whole screen assembly) work on my tmobile s3?
I can't think of a reason why not, most cases its just the screen that needs replacing and not the digitizer. Is it really that busted?

If the price is right it's a hell of a lot easier.

Today was real sad for me... when I was getting out of my car, I accidentally dropped my phone on the concrete.
The phone still functions fine. But because it dropped screen flat down, the bottom part of my screen is crack.
Also there's a crack going through about halfway from the left bottom corner to the mid-right part.
Is there anyway to fix this? With an iPhone, i have a friend who switches the glass on the front/back.
Is this possible for the galaxy nexus screen?? Please help.
here are photos... this is a real quick photo i took with my macbook because i do not have access to any other camera right now.
more pics coming soon

Wouldn't your warranty cover this? would you be able to replace it yourself?

Although this is a verizon galaxy nexus, i did not buy it from verizon so they wouldn't have me under warranty right?

is there anywhere i can go and repair it for a cost?
or is the only way to fix it by buying a separate screen and replacing it myself?
I really plan on using this phone for a long time so i am willing to pay a lot to fix this screen.
I read on the web that its possible, but alot more difficult than othwr phones. Best of luck to you!

I don't know but maybe try calling Samsung they might charge a fee and do it for you?
Worth a shot I guess.
No case or any protection?

Wow, how sensitive are these screens?? I can't remember seeing so many reports of damaged displays.

Lol? I see way more on Iphone forums. About the same amount on other Android forums. You drop it face down on concrete the right way... What good screen will be able to take that?

No, I get that, but I've been around xda and other forums for a while, can't remember seeing this many on a device, albeit I've never had a device this popular. Maybe its the sheer number of people who own the GN. Even when I was shopping around I saw multiple devices with hairline scratches on the screen. The screen on this device gets alot of attention, I remember the uproar when Samsung said the device didn't use guerrilla glass.

Back in the day, when I broke my iphone screen, I was able to find a guy that would repair it for 60$ on Craigs list. Try and search for someone there.
I found a local cell phone shop that quoted me $220. Find one of those and call. But I couldn't fork out that kinda cash

Wow, what was the height of the drop? I'm worried this could happen to me because I love having my phones naked.
It was about 2.5 feet?
Not so high but screen cracked...

I agree with you, cases and protection just take away from the device but sadly this is a risk. Did you by any chance buy it with a Visa card that may offer automatic protection from loss, damage or theft? My card covers me for the first 90 days.
Last I checked you could get the whole display assembly on eBay for ~$250

Sprint, Verizon, and international. Are they all the same?
Could I replace my GSM gnex LCD with a Verizon one?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
first off, its an AMOLED panel, not LCD. Different technologies
But anyways, most people are pointing out that these phones are not completely identical inside, and they're not easily interchangeable if you were to buy a GSM screen and try to put it on a Verizon device, for example. Lots of people have tried it, and from what I see it's not just plug-and-play.

The actual panel is the same. How it connects to the phone and the connector/pin placement is different.

Thanks martonikaj. I appreciate the answer.
Do you have any info on the screens? Maybe there's a way to connect them.

No problem.
No I don't. There are some threads where people have tried this though.
Pic of the crack? I think I may have bent (if that's possible) part of the screen. Its a black squiggly line on the front. And when reflected in light, it looks bent.

Bent? Mines just the digitizer. It sucks they are fused.

No the i515 is thicker then i9250 and because
1. It has LTE
2. I believe the screw holes are placed differently.
3. The sim card tray is placed different
4. Battery is shaped differently.
Does a factory white LTE model even exist?

No!!!! That's why I'm mad.
Why make a white door if you dont offer the white housing for i515!?!?!?
If u have a painted housing then it would make sense to buy it but not alot of ppl plan on that.
And it seems like i have no choice but to. It's been 7 month and ban is about to happen, I don't think I'll ever see a white housing.
Just paint it like most people have been doing.

Yeah I know I'm gonna do that.
Just why sell something that no one is gonna need if you don't have the housing.
I unfortunately cracked my galaxy nexus screen. I am still able to use touch screen functionality but i hate looking at cracks. Do I have to buy a complete LCD/digitizer combo to replace or can I just get LCD replacement? Any help would be much appreciated.

I would replace the whole combo if I were you. The glass and digitizer is so close welded together it isn't for anyone to separate and change one of those two.
I don't know if the glass is even sold separately?
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus
Check out this thread, he managed to only replace the glass. However, I'd say that it's probably more difficult/finicky than replacing the entire assembly.
