how do I fix a cracked screen

My friend sold me his galaxy S2 T989 and the screen is very cracked. how do I fix/replace the Screen. Pictures and videos and a tutorial would be very helpful thank you

YouTube might be a better place to look...I don't recall a repair tutorial here but could be wrong

That may be a little difficult since SAMOLED screens aren't something you comeby every day. Plus the led screen and touchscreen are fused into one unit so you will have to replace both. Samsung may have a pa tent on the screen as well and might not have it available to the public. Any which way good luck.

Cracked my screen. LCD/digitizer or LCD only replacement?

I unfortunately cracked my galaxy nexus screen. I am still able to use touch screen functionality but i hate looking at cracks. Do I have to buy a complete LCD/digitizer combo to replace or can I just get LCD replacement? Any help would be much appreciated.

I would replace the whole combo if I were you. The glass and digitizer is so close welded together it isn't for anyone to separate and change one of those two.
I don't know if the glass is even sold separately?
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus

Check out this thread, he managed to only replace the glass. However, I'd say that it's probably more difficult/finicky than replacing the entire assembly.

I have a gnex that the sim card socket broke and won't read my sim. The phone is flawless except for that. I'd be willing to sell it cheap for parts if interested, pm me.

Okay so i wanted to know can i use a sprint galaxy s3 on my tmobile s3 ? you would think that they are the same type right?

I can't think of a reason why not, most cases its just the screen that needs replacing and not the digitizer. Is it really that busted?

Tried to replace the glass myself on an S3 but managed to damage the back/menu touch buttons.
I can get the part but I am just wondering how exactly do you replace these? Do you need to take the digitizer off ?

Broken screen, will a screen from a Sprint/ Verizon work?

I broke my screen and digitizer and was thinking about repairing it. I looked on eBay and I see a few Sprint and Verizon digitizer on there for around $150, will these be compatible with my AT&T Note 2? Thanks

It should be the same screen. Just make sure it doesn't say sprint on it.
