Why do they do this!?!?!? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Why make a white door and not the housing for the i515 model!?!?!??

Wouldn't the housing for the i9250 fit?

No the i515 is thicker then i9250 and because
1. It has LTE
2. I believe the screw holes are placed differently.
3. The sim card tray is placed different
4. Battery is shaped differently.

Does a factory white LTE model even exist?

No!!!! That's why I'm mad.
Why make a white door if you dont offer the white housing for i515!?!?!?
If u have a painted housing then it would make sense to buy it but not alot of ppl plan on that.
And it seems like i have no choice but to. It's been 7 month and ban is about to happen, I don't think I'll ever see a white housing.

Just paint it like most people have been doing.

Yeah I know I'm gonna do that.
Just why sell something that no one is gonna need if you don't have the housing.

You ought to wait until the white CDMA/VZW version is released before searching. Or else it's a futile search.

That's what I thought... apparently we've seen white battery covers, yet no white casings just yet. Count me in as one of those in the waiting party.

I'm starting to believe that the white battery covers for the Verizon GNEX are not real even though they fit perfectly... because the same seller had the GSM version where the letters where in white as the lte version but the official GSM battery cover has the letters in grey

So far guys I've only found the gray one for the CDMA nexus on eBay.

Galaxy nexus AMOLED screen cracked :(

Sprint, Verizon, and international. Are they all the same?
Could I replace my GSM gnex LCD with a Verizon one?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
first off, its an AMOLED panel, not LCD. Different technologies
But anyways, most people are pointing out that these phones are not completely identical inside, and they're not easily interchangeable if you were to buy a GSM screen and try to put it on a Verizon device, for example. Lots of people have tried it, and from what I see it's not just plug-and-play.

The actual panel is the same. How it connects to the phone and the connector/pin placement is different.

No I don't. There are some threads where people have tried this though.
Pic of the crack? I think I may have bent (if that's possible) part of the screen. Its a black squiggly line on the front. And when reflected in light, it looks bent.

Bent? Mines just the digitizer. It sucks they are fused.

Good luck...the screen/front is one piece and glued to the chassis. There is no way your getting it off without breaking it.

You make it sound like its easy. It requires a lot of patience and someone who knows that they're doing most of the time.
Not at all a simple process.

I agree, not a easy task, too much heat will damage the screen.
All the professional dis-assembly videos on YouTube don't even try to remove the screen...what does that tell you.
Well most of the time its not necessacery because most of the time the digitizer is replaced also when the screen is broken its all one piece. But its difficult but not impossible like I said. The trick is to apply heat I one area and insert a razor blade between the screen and glass. Work your way around applying heat.

[Q] How hard is it to change from Grey to white?

As the title states, I have a titanium Grey note 2 but I really want the white...
Any ideas as to how hard it is to change the housing from Grey to white and where to find a legit oem housing?
Thanks guys!

All that for a different color? If you are going that route why not just get a "CRAZY" customizable paint job on it?

I got warranty to switch my color as a one time courtesy. Perhaps you can accomplish the same. However, you realize that just the back housing module wont make the sphone white right ;p youve still got to get the screen

Don't want to waste my money if i don't have to really.

Ebay is pretty useless for White Replacement parts (front cover, middle and back)
But amazon is a lil better however only has replacement parts for the N7100
Well they are the exact same hardware so im sure it will work

I think its because people dont think its worth ot to trade devices with a stranger just cause they want a different color?

Well the cheapest way would be to find a white battery cover and then buy one of these glass screen protectors.

They're really nice and made out of glass, just buy the white one.

Not only is this the cheapest way to accomplish this, but it's also the least invasive and least time consuming. I'd definitely recommend this as well to the OP.

On that note, does anyone know where to get replacement backs? I bought a broken 32GB on ebay and fixed it up, (Only paid $50! Bezel was broken, but fixed up with epoxy no problem) the back is all cracked. Slapped a dbrand on there for the time being.
