Hi guys, my HOX has developed a fault on the screen, there's a small patch which is yellow. Its more noticeable when there's a white screen
Only thing is, my bootloader is unlocked. Will HTC still sort it for me?

Ya for me it was worth sending it , I got screen replaced , I had yellow spots too ,HTC calls them orange spots , i took photos of the screen with the yellow spots , wrote all the issues that it had and sent it with the phone, considering that im in Ireland and repair center is in UK , I sent it on Wednesday ,repaired on Friday and shipped back to me the same Friday got it back in my hands on Tuesday ,hope this helps

Locked full stock
I've send mine too (unlocked), they've changed many things including screen, but now when phone is very hot screen in upper part feels soft :/. On screen with yellow spots there was no loose :|.
Hopefully being unlocked won't make much of a difference then
You from the UK Mando?

I just called HTC in sweden and asked about the screen having yellow spots on white backgrounds, he knew what I was talking about and said just send it in, and it was no problem with it being unlocked.

Recently i upgraded to a samsung nexus via this company unforuntly i had quite a bad experiance. I swapped three nexus phones out of those three the first had transparant lines which was swapped this phone had 2 warranty stickers on it and 2 serials / imei number which had been stuck over.
I queryed the shop to be told they do this to check the phones ie put sim in make sure it works reseal, whilst this might explain 2 warranty sticks it does not explain 2 serials. Anyhow the next i recieved had awfull banding which was swapped , again the phone arrives with 2 warranty stickers and 2 serials so i ask again why this is, to be told as before the stock is brand new and to be honest we dident know they had 2 warranty sticks and 2 serials on untill i had pointed it out to them.
Anyhow third phone arrives and the camera rattles + screen is shockingly bad , it had really bad colour banding which can be seen via a search on these forums. They checked this phone against 5 others apperntly and mine was the best so you can only imagine how bad the other 5 was. Anyhow i returned and canceled the contract , they told me same as before they are brand new from "there" supplier.
Anyhow fast forward tryed mobile phones direct yesterday recieved nexus today no grey lines on screen no transparant line no camera rattle slight colour banding on greys but hardly noticable. Most importantly 1 warranty sticker and 1 serial number as it should be, Im very happy with my nexus
Its possible other people might not have experianced what i have with this company but if you are considering bestbuymobiles.net id think long and hard before grabbing a phone of them i can see no reason why the box should have 2 serial stickers stuck over each other unless they are buying B grade stock or something ie someone returns phone for whatever reason that goes back to samsung , samsung say its fine and bang it out again.
I called the us HTC warranty line and they don't deal with international warranty from Canada for my international one x.. my power button is sticky so when I turn the screen on sometimes my phone resets coz power is pressed down... And also a yellow spot on the LCD on the bottom left of the screen... Anyone know who I should contact?

They won't just replace, but they should repair, if it's faulty.

The 28 days is a cooling off period, where you can send the phone back if you are not happy with it.
If there is a fault with the phone, take it back to a three shop .you have a manufacturer's guarantee, standard consumer rights, they must repair if it's faulty.....

Okay, so here's the story. Fed up with my One V and needed to upgrade. Found a faulty One X on ebay, bought it for £110 or so thinking I could fix it. I couldn't. Rooting didn't help, was a hardware issue. Came on here and apparently only option is to send it back. Turns out the phone is still under warranty (well, if it wasn't rooted). Reflash to stock, send it to HTC (no proof of purchase!) and today I received it back! Good as new, and they even chucked in a free pair of headphones because it took them so long! So yeah, HTC rock.
Only issue is it's locked to a network because the ebay seller was a moron and listed it wrong/incorrectly. I tried 2 unlocking sites already but no luck, anyone have a link to one that they've used that worked? Ideally I'd like to do it via internet but I guess I'll take it to a shop and see if they can if its required.
Glad to hear that someone (else than myself) has good experience with the HTC Support!

As far as I know, it doesn't. On some mobile phones you can pretty easily network unlock your device when having root acces (by looking for some kind of code in a file that's in your root folder), but rooting doesn't do this automatically.
What's your carrier? From what I have read here on xda, if I'm not wrong, orange and Vodafone have changed the unlock codes and the codes from internet don't work. I'm on tmobike and I unlocked my phone to any network from online site without any problem.

To what network is your phone locked and will let you know for sure if it can be unlocked by code or not. As an alternative one x now can be unlock by cable ,so probably some unlock shops can do that for you also
I was using my phone then I put it in my back pocket to put groceries in the car. After I got in the car I took my phone out and the display was messed up. When I press the power button it fades from a dark screen to the a all white screen.
I was just wondering if the damage would be covered by htc one advantage
You don't need HTC advantage for that as it's not a broken (physical) screen. This should go under warranty
Do I go through HTC to get that or my carrier?

How long has it been since you bought it? If you're within 2 weeks go to your carrier. If it's been longer than 2 weeks then go with HTC.
okay thank you
OH, I bought the phone through Amazon, can I still go through verizon?
You take to Verizon and claim warranty for the phone. They would effect the repairs
