[Q] need help to flash stock rom back on htc one x - HTC One X

ello guys.
i need help regarding installing back the stock rom on my One x . i bought the second hand phone few days back and its already unlocked and rooted with Android Revolution HD 18.0 custom rom running , somehow the phone is quiet unstable and rom crashes too often especially on restarting it displays the message "unfortunately process.com.android stoped working" or something like that. and it displays the same kind of message for every app when i try to open any app. i tried factory resets many time but to no aval.
pls guide me about the problem that this phone is having secondly pls tell me the correct Stock RUU for reverting back to the stock rom which i hope would solve the problem.
my phone's detail :
ENDEAVORU pvt ship S-ON
HBOOT 1.31.0000
CPLD none
MICROP none
Radio 5.1204.162.29
eMMC boot mode : disabled
CPU boot mode: disabled
HW secure boot : enabled
modem path : off
its CID is 11111111 ( i think its unbranded)
VERSION-MAIN : 3.14.401.619
i ve following queries
1. do i need to downgrade the hboot to install stock rom
2. how many digits of the version-main number should match with the RUU ... like i ve found one like (RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed (1).exe)
is it ok for my device???
3. anyother especial precaution i should take before attempting this procedure
thanks

To get CID, try
fastboot oem readcid
The RUU you posted is the latest for '401, I'm not sure why your build number of 619 is newer. Anyway that RUU comes with hboot 1.39 so it should install, although you may need to flash that firmware manually before the RUU.

Thanks for guiding me. I didn't understand what I need to flash manually before installing RUU? Plz elaborate as m noob to all these things.
Sent from my EndeavorU using xda app-developers app

To run a ruu you only have to lock the bootloader, you don't have to flash anything
Just put the phone in fastboot usb mode and do the command from the fadtboot folder on pc
Fastboot oem lock
After that leave the phone in fastboot usb mode and run the ruu from pc WITH admin rights !
If it fails you have to flash the firmware first like Ben said

I ve just reconfirmed the cid, its 11111111
I think its not carier locked as there is NO logo of any companies.
Sent from my EndeavorU using xda app-developers app

Thanks Mr Hofs
Plz tell me the RUU that I mentioned in first post is okay for my device?
N what does it mean to flash firmware manually before installing RUU?
Sent from my HTC one x using xda app-developers app

Well it might have to do something with the supercid you have ! But i think the ruu will work fine, charge the batt to full if you can. Always the best to start with a full batt so if you run into an error its easy to fix.....

Somewhere I read that unbranded phone when they are unlocked they show their cid like this one.
Ok I should now relock the bootloader with commands in fastboot and straightaway go to install this RUU? Is this a logical sequence now for me?
Sent from my EndeavorU using xda app-developers app

Yes just like i posted earlier ..... The ruu flashes back the stock recovery and boot.img.....

In case of failure like you said I need to flash firmware manually before installing RUU. What does that mean? Plz pardon me if its a stupid question as I am new at all this stuff.
Sent from my EndeavorU using xda app-developers app

Well that's Mr Pope's expertise if i am not mistaken, but if i get it right you have to flash a European 1.39 hboot firmware and after that the ruu again. But i think that it is not necessary, the only way we find out is to try

More i read greater are confusions
Do I need to extract stock recovery and stock boot.img from RUU and flash them before actually running RUU. As earlier mentioned steps are supposed to be done before re-locking and RUU has to be installed after re-locking.?
Sent from my EndeavorU using xda app-developers app

No just relock the bootloader and run the ruu from pc WITH admin rights and with the phone in fastboot usb mode

Ok thanks Mr Hofs I ll give it a try and let you know.

i went through like you suggested , ist relocked the bootloader than ran RUU one which is mentioned in my ist post ,, it started doing it initially ,,
erased the previus rom etc ,, than started sending data and finally after about 4 to 5 mins messaged appeared that the rom cant be updated pls choose correct one for this phone.
now i have relocked phone stuck at the bootloader and i dont know what to do ... pllllzzzzz help

First lets get a working phone back !
Unlock the bootloader
Fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin
Flash the custom recovery back and flash a custom rom. Then at least you have a working phone. When i get home later this evening i can search more for a solution......
Maybe in the mean time you can find something on supercid with the search option !

Desperately Need help, no way to get back to stock HTC using RUU!

Hi guys,
Im on cm10 latest nightly atm,
and i need to go back to stock HTC rom, no root no nothing , just HTC, for warranty reasons
I used this RUU in the past to get back to stock HTC
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260491_signed
But now it doenst work, it gives me error 140, Before the error, the ruu shows me im going from 2.17.401.2 to 1.29.401.11
after that i get the error, that it has a bootloader error...
my bootloader is 1.12.000 atm
Can someone please help me get back to it ?
Also when i try to relock the bootloader, i get This : when using command: fastboot oem lock
I Get Failed(Too many links)
but after a reboot i get RELOCKED (security Warning)
Someone please help!
Go to htcruu.com and download the 2.17.401.2 ruu.
The security warning is because you have relocked your bootloader with a custom recovery still installed.

Yep thats the right one .... The .24 ruu has the 1.36 hboot, and the .31 ruu will update your hboot to 1.39 !
Thank you kind sirs Can somebody tell me do I need to be in a fastboot to run it or what? How do I install it?
Yes you put the phone in bootloader/fastboot usb mode and lock the bootloader
Fastboot oem lock
After that it reboots the bootloader and you see a warning sign there, now keep it in fastboot usb mode and execute the ruu WITH admin rights (right click the file and run as administrator)
Should do the trick
Thank you This returns eveything to factory stock I think?
Yes.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Yes everything. Stock rom, stock boot.img and stock recovery ! You will have an out if the box hox
Note : watch out it might wipe the sdcard also (not 100% sure but there are reports that it did so back it up just in case)
I have erased everything from SD yesterday I thought my HOX has shutdowns couse of that. I tryed everything and now I'm doing this. Hope it helps, he just shutsdown for no reason. I think it's the battery problem but it's better to try software first

[Q] Trouble with first time trying to get custom ROM.

Hello,
First of all I'm new to this forum so Hello! second of all I'm also new to rooting and custom ROM's.
So today after 3 days of trying to unlock my HTC One X by htcdev.com i finally submitted my identifier token and i got the Unlock_code.bin
I downloaded Android Revolution HD 18.1, I also downloaded the CWM v5.8.4.0 and installed it on my phone.
After that i followed the instructions on how to install the Revolution HD 18.1, after doing all the steps on my phone it told me it was succesfully installed and i had to reboot the system. So i did it, then the part comes where i'm getting stuck. It was rebooting my htc , and it wouldn't go further then the opening screen HTC quietly brilliant it was stuck there. trying to put my phone on and off and on and off, same problem. Now i can only go in the bootloader menu and in recovery menu and thats it.
I did a lot of research on how to fix my problem, unfortunally nothing helped. (Maybe cuz I'm a noob and new to this)
Can someone please help me with this, i've been trying it all day now and i'm giving up the hope.
Some information at the hboot menu of my HTC one X

I'm still on stock rom and recovery, but I've read much... Did you flashed the correct boot.img?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
You are on the wrong hboot, there is a thread were the steps required to upgrade youre hboot are explained. For most jb roms hboot 1.31 or higher is required.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Yes i just tried to flash the correct boot.img and still my phone gets stuck at the HTC quietly brilliant screen.
Boot.img is the kernel wich goes with the rom. Hboot is your Bootloader version. In the first post of your rom thread is a link wich explaines hoe to upgrade your hboot.

please tell me you did a nandoid backup of the stock rom ??? and why didnt you wait for the JB update ? what is your version-main and CID
Fastboot oem readcid

For so far i know i did a nandoid backup, because the tutorial told me to do a backup before flashing the custom ROM, so i did, but when i tried to restore a backup i couldnt find anything..
CID: HTC_E11
Version-Main: 2.17.401.2
Untill now i diddnt do anything yet, so shall i try and update my hboot to 1.31+, or should I wait for the comments here?
greetz
Is there a folder on the sdcard called Clockworkmod ?
And if you send me a teamviewer login by PM i can watch with you and do it in dutch !
If you restore the original nandroid you can update right away to JB, its waiting for you (HTC__E11)
Yes there is a map called clockworkmod

Then you can restore it,
Copy the boot.img from the nandroid backup and flash it with fastboot commands
Then do a full wipe in recovery, all caches, dalvik cache, system, data .....
Then press backup nd restore in the recovery and restore ....then restore the backup and boot it up. When it works you need to flash back the stock recovery

After this you are ready to update to JB !
Problem solved, updated to JB ....

Download this file
http://androidfiles.org/ruu/securek...Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_275980_signed.exe
First how is the battery ? Charge it in the recovery if needed. You need at least 30% of power for this !!
1: put the phone in the bootloader and lock the bootloader
Fastboot oem lock
Keep the phone in the bootloader and execute the ruu with admin rights (right click the ruu.exe and select it)
This will flash the phone to stock android 4.0.4 sense 4.1. After this all you go into the settings and check for manual updates, update it to JB !
Thank you it's worked now how to update to jelly bean
Check in the phone
Settings - about - softwareupdates and do manual searching now !
I did the same stupid thing with my HTC One (v. 1.29.651.7) I cant find an RUU to restore. Any suggestions?

[Q] No Way Out :(

Ok so I wanted to return to stock after using cm rom for couple of months and i used hasoon guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069904 which states i should relock my bootloader, so i did then it says it will bootup normaly then things got screwed up. The phone didnt boot in the rom only boots up in fast boot menu . So i downloaded the RUU for my pohne anyway and tried to flash it from there but then i got only error 140 Use the right update utility or something. Im with hboot 1.39 any ideas what is the problem and how can i fix it? Pls help!
Unlock your bootloader and flash a custom stock based Rom , example: Revolution HD.

I think the problem is becouse when i typed to see ''fastboot getvar version-main'' it says its 3.18.401.1 and i dont think there is stock RUU with higher numbers and in the tutorial it is said ''NOTE: You can't use a lower numbered file eg 1.26.401.x and you also can't use a file from a different region eg 2.17.707.x.'' any ideas?

2 ways
1) go to HTC service center and ask them to flash the the software,
2)Use stock nandroid backup for your CID. then flash stock recovery and stock kernel and relock bootloader.
