What is the difference between BFS and CFS? I'm not too sure on the details of kernels. I know 1 is Brain **** Scheduler and the other is Completely Fair Scheduler, but how do I know which one I should use?
EDIT: And actually do I need to wait for a 4.0.3 LTE ROM first also?
I don't suppose it can be used on 4.0.2 huh?
Sent by way of unspeakably black magic.
These are some damn good questions because I haven't a clue what to do!!!

don'tcha worry ssick92 i'm testing this kernel on a 4.0.2 build.
Results:wiped dalvik and cache and i can't get it to boot on 4.0.2. looks like 4.0.3 only for 1.5
I'm trying out the CDMA 1.5 CFS, SetCPU's overclock settings seem to offer only 1.2 and 1.4 GHz, no 1.35 GHz option.
Thanks.
Yeah I forgot to change that. Just use 1.4, no biggie

I don't think so, but you can just try it and if it doesn't work then just go back

BFS is designed to focus on the main app installed, and process everything around the open app.
CFS is built around multi-tasking power. In general most people will prefer CFS because you notice less issues. If your a single app kind of person use BFS since your focused, but your scrolling, and swiping actions will be a little more laggy.
CFS doesn't seem to boot on the deodexed 4.0.2 ROM... Sits at the Google screen.

I was under the impression v1.5 was for 4.0.3 while v1.0 was for previous versions. Wasnt too clear but i just restored my backup after getting stuck on boot logo.
Thanks for your work
Will try this out when some more 4.0.3 ROMs hit us!

Thanks so much, that was the perfect answer to my question
Hey all, sorry I couldn't post a reply in the original dev forum because I'm too new. Just had a question for the folks using
[ROM] AOKP(Jellybean) Task & Ktoonsez (9/14) and Ktoonz 9.14 kernel.
I can't seem to find "ktweaker" anywhere. Wanted to play with some voltage settings. Closest thing I can find is under ROM Control, under the performance menu I have CPU SETTINGS, which i cant go over 1512 or under 384, and a tab for voltage settings but that tab tells me that my kernel doesn't support voltage control.
Any help would be appreciated
I've attached a screenshot of my kernel for reference.
Thanks!
Based on that screenshot, you're on the kernel that comes with AOKP, not ktoonsez's kernel. You'll find that here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756776
Once you get that flashed, Ktweaker should appear in the app drawer.

thanks for the reply!
That's odd because I downloaded and flashed from that page. I downloaded the AOKP Jellybean Build 9.14.2012. Is there something I could be doing wrong with flashing the kernel? I booted into recovery, ran the .zip files, wiped caches, fixed permissions and rebooted.

I think all KT kernels now have KTweaker. It's an app in your app drawer, select it then check allow over clocking at the top. Should be good to go.
Think I figured it out, originally I had installed the kernel before booting into the freshly installed rom. I just rebooted into recovery and installed the kernel again. Now my phone is running extremely slow for some reason, gonna try a reboot and report back.
Wow, things are real screwed up now, phone running extremely slow, I see Ktweaker but it force closes, can't connect o mobile network /sigh
Any suggestions?

Do this dude.
Flash my ROM and gapps.
Then flash ktoonsez kernel. Make sure you flash the jellybean aosp kernel.
Its sounds like you haven't read either of the OP's of both the ROM and kernel threads and it also sounds like you flashed the wrong kernel. Read them please.

I installed miui 2.7.3 with all wipes and superwipe tool too.At pre settet up freq(768) my phone restarts.I setted to 600 but after 30 min of using restarts again...
Try the new version of miui rom v4 which is available in the development section.....flash the new version ...u ll have no problem with overclocking n other stuffs like data2sd:laugh:i myself had bugs with the wifi in the previous version of the rom...but the new version seems flawless:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Try flashing another kernel lik dust 9.0
Try using the deodexed version of the rom...enable the 2d rendering in the settings which can be found under the developer options..use no frills cpu for overclocking..set max freq to 787mhz and min freq to 120mhz and have smartassV2 governor and check the apply on boot option and have noop as the i/o scheduler..and hit apply...restart ur phone once manually...I think this will help...hit thanks if i helped you..
I tried with no frillz cpu and setted at 600 mhz max and 120 min.2d activated.same problem.now i am using eqdkp v5.1 and with 768 restarts but with 600 everything is fine.
Q:how can i verify the baseband ?

first free info:
not all kernels gives possibility of changes his own parameters, it means, if you don't see the difference, it's because kernel auto turns modded settages to default! (as what stock htc's kernel do)
this mod is absolutely working, i test it on twrp recovery until share!

The other is a setting of the ondemand parameter.. this is for changing options.. my obiettive is to unify the most mods in one.. for ex:
Chose freqs
Chose governor
chose different setting of governor
Chose.undervolt
Chose scheduler
Etc etc etc
Sure, it's unusefull to.add all now.. kernels doesen't have those parameters..
the mod is simple.. whould you use the tegra3 at 1ghz max? You should use an app daemon (systen tuner etc etc) or use a simple script
Oc daemons use a lot of resources, and monitoryze the cpu.. my mod add the parameters at boot, and, nothin else.. so.. the same thing without an app witch could:
1) can give free reboots
2) increase the consiption
upgrade in first post
Thanks! I think I got it
So, How do I change those values my self?
(Max freq, voltages) Is there aroma menu inside
or have I got to use SysTuner?

Hello, thank you for creating this. I want to ask about the USB Fast Charge. Currently I'm using KozmiK kernel which doesnt have USB Fast Charge feature. Is it possible to make the USB Fast Charge available with this mod? I already install the mod and notice that when you charge using USB, it stil shows USB. But I dont know if the USB Fast Charge is already applied or not. I cant charge with USB since the kernel have some issue when chargin with USB, the minimum frequency stays at 910 Mhz and cannot be lowered
R: [MOD][11-02]Change Settings of MODDED Kernel
Fast charge is a kernel features.. only kernel has it.. and it's impossible to add manually with recovery flash
If you turn on the fastcharge with this mod on a kernel witch doesent have it, it will not work.. the command of turning on will not find the sysfile, so, one istruction for nothing.. it doesent demage the phone
If you have issues with frequency, you should change kernel..
I'm on ncx, and it's bugghed too.. so.. it's normal.. source code is out for less time

I was trying to tweak performance of my device using Kernel Auditor but ended up messing. Now my Device Battery drains exponentially fast and heats up even when Idle.
