HOW IT WORKS?
Simply, it changes kernel's settings via a script, it's not invasive!!
HOW TO FLASH?

first free info:
not all kernels gives possibility of changes his own parameters, it means, if you don't see the difference, it's because kernel auto turns modded settages to default! (as what stock htc's kernel do)
this mod is absolutely working, i test it on twrp recovery until share!

i can't post a screen, but, you see frequency is changed, so, it's what mod do.. :silly:
why i have create this?
because daemons APP are not so good, are big, uses a lot of code lines to injuct some values.. my mod uses 9 lines til now..:good:

The other is a setting of the ondemand parameter.. this is for changing options.. my obiettive is to unify the most mods in one.. for ex:
Chose freqs
Chose governor
chose different setting of governor
Chose.undervolt
Chose scheduler
Etc etc etc
Sure, it's unusefull to.add all now.. kernels doesen't have those parameters..
the mod is simple.. whould you use the tegra3 at 1ghz max? You should use an app daemon (systen tuner etc etc) or use a simple script
Oc daemons use a lot of resources, and monitoryze the cpu.. my mod add the parameters at boot, and, nothin else.. so.. the same thing without an app witch could:
1) can give free reboots
2) increase the consiption

Hello, thank you for creating this. I want to ask about the USB Fast Charge. Currently I'm using KozmiK kernel which doesnt have USB Fast Charge feature. Is it possible to make the USB Fast Charge available with this mod? I already install the mod and notice that when you charge using USB, it stil shows USB. But I dont know if the USB Fast Charge is already applied or not. I cant charge with USB since the kernel have some issue when chargin with USB, the minimum frequency stays at 910 Mhz and cannot be lowered

Fast charge is a kernel features.. only kernel has it.. and it's impossible to add manually with recovery flash
If you turn on the fastcharge with this mod on a kernel witch doesent have it, it will not work.. the command of turning on will not find the sysfile, so, one istruction for nothing.. it doesent demage the phone
If you have issues with frequency, you should change kernel..
I'm on ncx, and it's bugghed too.. so.. it's normal.. source code is out for less time

how do i add additional cpu governors on a custom boot.img?
I think u need an app like no frills CPU or set CPU to control your CPU and apply govners

i mean adding more governors to the boot.img... i think it has something to do with the kernel??? cm7 only has 4 governors by default... not sure if its the rom that needs editing or the boot.img?

Yes - governors are hardcoded in the kernel as far as I know - so you have to recomile a kernel from source - including your changes - and then flash it. It's not just a simple editing of txt files...
More info about other governors you will find at cyanogen forum - as they developed them (e.g. smartass v1/2).

It shows all the files that need to be changed to add in a new governer ... if there's a + before a line, that means it was added, - means it was removed.

First step
1) Make sure you are running linux, or else it won't work
2) Download the source code from either opensource.sonymobile.com (for a stock kernel) or FXP github (https://github.com/freexperia/semc-kernel-msm7x30) for FXP Kernel.
3) unpack the source code
4) make changes to the source code you want to (i.e. adding in governors or io schedulers)
5) Follow this guide on how to build the source (note: the defconfig is probably different you'll have to check the /arch/arm/config folder to figure out which ones is the FXP one...)
6) Make it into a boot img following this tutorial
7) Try booting, if it works, check to make sure that the changes you made sticked. If it doesn't boot, well, you can ask questions in this thread and i'll help you

A) Nope linux is the only way. I suggest ubuntu 10.04 LTE
B) unless you can create a way to decompile and recompile the zImage file (using linux) you're not going to get anywhere fast. (Governors are part of the built kernel, and can't be added into after the fact)

1) technically yes, but kinda pointless because: 2) other than dooms (old) cm kernel (GSM) nope (I'm not sure if he had more governors or if it's compatible with with newer fxp)
3) nope, they use a different board.

What does it do :
This scripts attemps to make your phone battery dures more time or your phone more responsive and smoother by modifiing some governor's parameters.
It will set CPU min freq at 268MHz and max at 1200MHz, the governor in the script name, BFQ scheduler and apply tweaked tunables for battery or performance.
Prerequies :
A custom kernel supporting the governor you want : HellBoy, Kiss or SuperSick
How to use :
First install SManager
Download the scripts and extract the zip somewhere in you sd card
Launch SManager, explore to the scripts, select the one you want, check "Is script", "Su", "Boot" (if you want)
In Arguments, write b or p within you want battery or performance optimisations
Click save

I've fixed that, and I replaced files from PAC-Man's boot.img.

Thanks for the feedback.
Litekernel's default governo is userspace, so you can change manually at performance settings to interactive.
I've uploaded new image in first post. If you install that, it would fix without set governo.
Its only for pacman?

You can use with others probably. The original litekernel doesnt work with new PAC-man.
I'am sorry but this kernel has the deep sleep call issues.. the kernel that came with the PAC-nightly didn't had this problem..

Are you 100% sure that pac nightly did not have deep sleep issue? Maybe you just have not spent much time on it?
Coz in my opinion all the roms above 2.3 have the deep sleep issue, but i have not checked pac much.
@bubor: xcuse me, would you mind giving more details of how you cooked it? github kernel tree? patches? boot image cooking?..

Can i install stock firmware on my phone itself?
I try with mobile odin he said that my ace 2 doesn't support it..

You can't flash stock firmware without a pc but you can flash a stock based rom like kyrillos v9 with recovery. This is the only thing that i know without pc

If u want more gaming performance then its wrong question :/
As sb said u cannot flash rom without PC
If u want more performance: CHange FSync to dynamic; Set the Maximal L2 Read to its maximum value; set preallocated memory to highest value. Go into the internet and install some tweaks. There are universal tweaks like superchargerV6 or PurePerformances, or tweaks made for some devices (i didnt found any Ace2-only tweaks but if u will do some research u can find Mali400 tweaks which will power up ur gpu)>

PS. before installing tweaks etc. make backup in recovery, next time when u will have stock rom: install temporary cwm and do backup on it (stock based backups can be helpful)

Well, it should be possible to port a stock rom to CWM format (dump all files + create appropriate updater-script + kernel image) but different recoveries handle /preload more or less well, Touchwiz is more picky about proper partitions, all zips must fit in /data (?)... it's probably not worth the time...
(big lies, nothing isn't worth it, in fact I'd like to see CM7 for this device)

So if you decide to use this mod then lets talk about the requirements.
1. Moto G4plus/G4 (or SD 617 processor with the same clock frequency as this one)
2. ElementalX kernel manager (for now since i've not yet made this mod for kernel Adiutor,but soon)
3. kernel which allows tweaking (most of them do)
4. Some knowledge
5. Patience.
A CPU governor in Android controls how the CPU raises and lowers its frequency in response to the demands the user is placing on their device. Governors are especially important in smartphones and tablets because they have a large impact on the apparent fluidity of the interface and the battery life of the device over a charge.For more info and knowledge visit http://androidmodguide.blogspot.in/p/blog-page.html
So after reading the guide you'll know exactly what a governor does.So what does this mod do? It configures the governor to have optimal performance without a large impact on batterylife.
This mod only supports Interactive governor since its the best and most tweakable.
So how to make it work? its simple...
1. Download the file then first extract it.
2. Open the ElementalX kernel manager app
3. Under CPU section go to governor options.
4. There click on save and save the profile as "default"
5. Next go to your filemanager find ElementalX folder.
6. Paste the downloaded file in gov_profiles folder.
7. Open EX manager app again,under governor option click on load and select LightningBlade.
8. Click on apply on boot.
9. Enjoy.
what difference will you see? You'll see that the little cores and the big cores stay at minimum frequency most of the time which results in more juice

So if you decide to use this mod then lets talk about the requirements.
1. Moto G4plus/G4 (or SD 617 processor with the same clock frequency as this one)
2. ElementalX kernel manager (for now since i've not yet made this mod for kernel Adiutor,but soon)
3. kernel which allows tweaking (most of them do)
4. Some knowledge
5. Patience.
A CPU governor in Android controls how the CPU raises and lowers its frequency in response to the demands the user is placing on their device. Governors are especially important in smartphones and tablets because they have a large impact on the apparent fluidity of the interface and the battery life of the device over a charge.For more info and knowledge visit http://androidmodguide.blogspot.in/p/blog-page.html
So after reading the guide you'll know exactly what a governor does.So what does this mod do? It configures the governor to have optimal performance without a large impact on batterylife.
This mod only supports Interactive governor since its the best and most tweakable.
So how to make it work? its simple...
1. Download the file
2. Open the ElementalX kernel manager app
3. Under CPU section go to governor options.
4. There click on save and save the profile as "default"
5. Next go to your filemanager find ElementalX folder.
6. Paste the downloaded file in gov_profiles folder.
7. Open EX manager app again,under governor option click on load and select LightningBlade.
8. Click on apply on boot.
9. Enjoy.
what difference will you see? You'll see that the little cores and the big cores stay at minimum frequency most of the time which results in more juice

This mod is tested with InvictaOS, Ressurection Remix, LineageOs OMS, Pure Nexus, It should work with all the roms but still you tell me....[/CENTER]

My guess is it's Compound for substratum
