Exactly, only one could be active at the same time, one governor with one of his optimisation

hi,
thanks for the scripts, :thumbup::thumbup:
just ask, what is the different of mmcblk0 and mmcblk1? i look into your script its only change scheduler on mmcblk0, is no need to change scheduler for mmcblk1 too?

[ROM] Cow ROM v7 (Bionic Cow 2)

Version 7 of Cow ROM: Bionic Cow 2.
- For arco68
It's basically an update to Bionic Cow using latest firmware from Sammy - I8150DXLC1. Features:
1) The OC kernel has been rewrote. It should be more stable and graphic score improved.
2) Bionic Scorpion Optimization library. Using NEON instructions for faster memory operations. Learned from arco68 github for ICS.
3) CowPanel 2 - use this util to configure VSYnc on/off. For speed, use VSync off. For smooth, use VSync on + triple buffering. Read more here. You also may configure zRam option here. zRam is off by default. Read more here.
4) Many CPU governors: Default using OnDemandX for best battery; 80% left in 24 hours. Use "Performance" for benchmarking.
5) More RAM - 358Mb available, compare to 351Mb in stock ROM.
6) Using a super light Zeam Launcher. Thanks cloakt for permission to use.
7) Internal / external sd card swap, CRT screen off effect, Low Memory Killer Tweaked, OnDemandX tweaked, Custom Bootup animation and Larger SD Card cache, Voice Search, etc.
8) Based on arco68 GB kernel. Without which, none of this is possible.
Special thanks to arco68, tch9, andynroid and pinkyunki, Murny Umairah, Myrule Anarki, Santos San Martin and Mohd Fazrin Daud from SGW group.
*WARNING*: Don't use OC ROM unless you know what you are doing. The ROM will automatically reset to 1.4ghz - OnDemandX after reboot as a safety precaution. I only set to 1.8ghz OC for short time during Cheat Engine hacks, zip / unzip, benchmark, etc. I always reset back to max 1.4ghz for normal used. I strongly recommend you to set a temperature profile if CPU ever get above 50C you should lower max clock back to 1.4ghz.
So, here is the link:

Part 2: http://www.mediafire.com/?e368mc427y19611
Here is how to install the ROM:
1. Enable recovery.
2. Use 7zip, right click on xxxx.001, extract. It will create the zip file required for flashing. Copy this zip into your phone. (Don't extract xxx.002)
3. Boot into ClockWorkMod / RZRecovery, backup your current ROM using nandroid (just in case).
4. If you are upgrading from my previous ROM;
- BEFORE installing the ROM, Uninstall CowPanel: Setting, Application, Cowpanel, uninstall
- Wipe Dalvik-cache. All your settings and app will remained. Theme will changed though.
5. If you are installing from stock or from other custom ROM, best to wipe everything using CWM, including your USB and external sd card. Reinstall everything from fresh, don't restore anything from Titanium Backup or anything.
Google Map? Missing apk? Original theme? If you want to restore to stock theme, get all the apk here.
Report Problem: If you encounter FC or any problem, please provide logcat so I may trace it:
1. Connect phone to USB
2. adb logcat > log.txt
3. In your phone, reproduce the crash / FC / etc
4. Kill all adb process in your PC
5. Zip and send me the log.txt
Update Radio Firmware
I8150DXLC1 comes with an updated Radio firmware. This should improve voice call quality. Check if you need to update this, go to Check "Setting", "About phone", "Baseband version". If you already have I8150DXLC1 or newer you dont need this. If not, use Odin to flash this. This will only update the Radio firmware, nothing else will change. You can do this before or after install Bionic Cow 2 ROM.
1. Get Odin.
2. Get ancora.ops.
3. Get radio firmware.
4. Boot into "download mode". Connect phone to PC. Start Odin
5. Select OPS file = ancora.ops. Select One Package = radio firmware, check "One package", "Auto reboot", "Protect OPS".
6. Start and wait till it complete.

Antutu 5067 on 1,8GHz !
I really love the theme, very nice!!
Thanks my friend!!
As now, i'm using your Bionic, Cow. Love the green-ish theme, seems smoothly smart!
A few things btw :
1. When booting up, there is still sound of the boot animation. How to disable it?
2. When locking the phone, the transition is somewhat like distortion-type, not like the scale-old-tv in your previous ROM. Is it supposed to be that way or my phone goes wrong?
3. The "3G icon" in status bar alternately goes from small to big and vice versa. Also is this meant to be as such? :/
Apart of those, it is indeed a GREAT and SUPERB ROM.

min speed ? ondemand or ondemandx ?
I must be dumb.
I download xxx.7z.001 and xxx.7z.002.
Right click on 001: extract here puts META-INF, data and system folders and the other files in the folders I am working in. If I right click and extract to GT-I8150-BIONIC it just puts those files in a folder. No sign of a flashable zip.
What am I doing wrong?
Bomoh, an user who doesn't have permission to post in Dev section yet, told me this solution and it's working. Thanks to him!
Extract 001 in a folder > select all the files > right click > 7-zip > add to archive.
In 7-zip window, change "Archive format" option from "7z" to "zip" then click OK.

first free info:
not all kernels gives possibility of changes his own parameters, it means, if you don't see the difference, it's because kernel auto turns modded settages to default! (as what stock htc's kernel do)
this mod is absolutely working, i test it on twrp recovery until share!

The other is a setting of the ondemand parameter.. this is for changing options.. my obiettive is to unify the most mods in one.. for ex:
Chose freqs
Chose governor
chose different setting of governor
Chose.undervolt
Chose scheduler
Etc etc etc
Sure, it's unusefull to.add all now.. kernels doesen't have those parameters..
the mod is simple.. whould you use the tegra3 at 1ghz max? You should use an app daemon (systen tuner etc etc) or use a simple script
Oc daemons use a lot of resources, and monitoryze the cpu.. my mod add the parameters at boot, and, nothin else.. so.. the same thing without an app witch could:
1) can give free reboots
2) increase the consiption
upgrade in first post
Thanks! I think I got it
So, How do I change those values my self?
(Max freq, voltages) Is there aroma menu inside
or have I got to use SysTuner?

Hello, thank you for creating this. I want to ask about the USB Fast Charge. Currently I'm using KozmiK kernel which doesnt have USB Fast Charge feature. Is it possible to make the USB Fast Charge available with this mod? I already install the mod and notice that when you charge using USB, it stil shows USB. But I dont know if the USB Fast Charge is already applied or not. I cant charge with USB since the kernel have some issue when chargin with USB, the minimum frequency stays at 910 Mhz and cannot be lowered
R: [MOD][11-02]Change Settings of MODDED Kernel
Fast charge is a kernel features.. only kernel has it.. and it's impossible to add manually with recovery flash
If you turn on the fastcharge with this mod on a kernel witch doesent have it, it will not work.. the command of turning on will not find the sysfile, so, one istruction for nothing.. it doesent demage the phone
If you have issues with frequency, you should change kernel..
I'm on ncx, and it's bugghed too.. so.. it's normal.. source code is out for less time

[KERNEL][JB 4.2] Devil Kernel [Silk smooth & Hell fast] (UPDATED 24/06)

Hello People
Since long time I have seen many people struggling and requesting someone to share GREAT devil kernel.
*****And here I came**** So I requested DerTeufel1980 and luckily he accepted to share the kernel
without compiling from source i.e. by extracting from his supersonic HellyBean ROM.
That is enough talk
How to install
1-Make sure you run JB 4.2 with stock CM partitioning.
2-Reboot into recovery.
3-Choose kernel zip and flash.
4-For better performance wipe cache & dalvik cache.
N.B. I don't make any modifications to the kernel, I just extract the kernel and share it.
Kernel Source : https://github.com/DerTeufel/samsung-kernel-aries
Features
1. Linux Kernel 3.0.83
2. Normal OC Support ( 1200 , 1300 and 1400MHz steps )

Will upload a new version tonight with devil tools already included in system/app
Edit : no it will be better if I included it in data/app so that you're free to delete it or keep
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
Better as /data/app I think too cause you know there's that issue with NsTools that sometimes needs a fix perms to give access to governors settings.. Well the fastest way to fix perms on DevilTools is to use fix permissions apps from market and apply fix perms on it only but the app won't see DevilTools if installed as system/app.
It's about the same but will just spare a reboot to recovery, check that system is mounted, fix permissions,wait....or use RomManager which with the fix perms process will be little long too.
Why not do the whole fix perms by using RomManager or going to recovery, Mount all partitions and apply while we're on it but as it's not mandatory better have choice.
Can we also report bug's ?
Because wifi isn't working here with devil kernel and the latest cm nightly.

Soilwork: Unified kernel-tweaks V10 [10/10/2017] | Script | MAGISK module

Announcement
For introduction - have a look at these guides first: Advanced Interactive Governor Tweaks (for Nexus 5X) and [AKT] Advanced Kernel Tweaks (for OP3 -> same SoC as our HTC 10). At first, I want to thank @soniCron for his shared knowledge, @Alcolawl for his great scripts and of course @Asiier, @Mostafa Wael, @patalao and @Senthil360 for their AKT scripts for OnePlus3.
So, what is this about? These tweaks are desgined to work for every available kernel on our HTC 10 (or every other Snapdragon 820/1 device), no matter if it's a PnP kernel such as stock kernel, or a HMP kernel without the usage of PnP or an EAS kernel. The scripts detect which kernel you're running and will apply the tweaks accordingly.
So in summary, what are the prerequisites...
Kernel/Rom, which does not use pnpmgr
root access
proper buysbox installation
NO need of any special app besided a terminal emulator, Boot Shell or Magisk - it's up to you!
...and what can you expect?
efficient performance...
....therefore good battery life (->see attachements below.)
EAS, HMP and I/0 tweaks
executeable scripts or Magisk modules
How to install and to use these tweaks? Firstly: The .sh files are executeable scripts. To run them, you have to go to an terminal emulator app, and then you have to type for example, if you saved the .sh file in the ElementalX folder in your internal storage and if you wanted to apply the file called "Soilwork_uni_V10_balanced_Final.sh":
Code:
su
[COLOR="Green"]cd /sdcard/ElementalX/gov_profiles/[/COLOR]
[COLOR="blue"]sh Soilwork_uni_V10_balanced_Final.sh[/COLOR]
or just use a root file manager or Boot Shell, simple as that
or just flash the Magisk module in TWRP or Magisk manager and profit
Known issues: It could be possible that you get some errors like "setting123 could not be applied: permission denied" or "setting123 could not be applied: no such file or directory". This is no problem, all other settings will be applied correctly. This is only a kernel related thing which means that this kernel just does not have this option.
NOTE: If you're running an AOSP Rom and using an EAS kernel, then open EX Kernel Manager -> CPU and enable perfd manually!

Thanks for the scripts. How do you apply the regular .txt files. Paste in /init.d/? Do u need to apply both the .txt and the .sh?

No the regular txt files are just the profiles for EX Kernel Manager and can only be applied within this app. And generally, if you use the .sh script, you don't need the .txt file. Is just for choice.
Which base script did you use? Or is it a "Franken" script?

Frankenstein, like a mix of scripts, not a specific port.

Ahh Well the original "structure" of the scripts is made by @Alcolawl for the Nexus 5X. All in all, I have adapted them for my former LG G4. And now it's the same here, but reworked is the HTC 10.:good:
I'm using this currently loaded into ex kernel manager. It is really good. I really appreciate you posting this thank you.

Do I just use a root explorer to move and load in ex kernel manager?
Edit yes that was right..... Hah then had to go in and choose load governor and picked file. Is this step correct. Is it supposed to be loaded in governor settings?

Yeah your right.. the it should say on the dashboard SuD10.txt for your governor profile loaded.

Anyone interested in new test profiles for the new Nebula Advanced Kernel or LOS/AOSP-Rom users?
Well done mate
If I understand it correctly. I just copy them to EX manager folder and then remove ". txt"?

If you mean the files without ".sh", then yes And then of course you have to select them in EX Kernel Manager. The ".sh" files are executeable scripts, which can do more and have more options. To run them, you have to go to an terminal emulator app, and then you have to type:
Code:
su
cd /sdcard/ElementalX/gov_profiles/
sh SuD.sh
for example, if you saved the ."sh" file in the EX manager folder as well and if you wanted to apply the SuD.sh. Perhaps I should add this to OP?

[MOD][Kernel Turnables]Lightning Blade

LIGHTNING BLADE PROJECT
*Your warranty is now void.*
*I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead sd cards, corrupted partitions or any damage.*
*Please do some research before using this mod.*
*Its completely your decision to use this mod.*
*If you point finger at me for messing up your device,I will laugh at you.*
So if you decide to use this mod then lets talk about the requirements.
1. Moto G4plus/G4 (or SD 617 processor with the same clock frequency as this one)
2. ElementalX kernel manager (for now since i've not yet made this mod for kernel Adiutor, but soon)
3. kernel which allows tweaking (most of them do)
4. Some knowledge
5. Patience.
A CPU governor in Android controls how the CPU raises and lowers its frequency in response to the demands the user is placing on their device. Governors are especially important in smartphones and tablets because they have a large impact on the apparent fluidity of the interface and the battery life of the device over a charge. For more info and knowledge visit http://androidmodguide.blogspot.in/p/blog-page.html
So after reading the guide you'll know exactly what a governor does.So what does this mod do? It configures the governor to have optimal performance without a large impact on batterylife.
This mod only supports Interactive governor since its the best and most tweakable.
So how to make it work? its simple...
1. Download the file then first extract it.
2. Open the ElementalX kernel manager app
3. Under CPU section go to governor options.
4. There click on save and save the profile as "default"
5. Next go to your filemanager find ElementalX folder.
6. Paste the downloaded file in gov_profiles folder.
7. Open EX manager app again, under governor option click on load and select LightningBlade.
8. Click on apply on boot.
9. Enjoy.
what difference will you see? You'll see that the little cores and the big cores stay at minimum frequency most of the time which results in more juice
