I've tried to flash a custom rom, unfortunately my phone didn't boot. So I went back to "Android Revolution HD 9.7.2 (Ice Cream Sandwich)" now my phone is suffering from boot-loop. At last when got my phone working I noticed no signal, imei and baseband unknown. Please guide me the process how I can recover from this problem.

Did u flash the boot.img with fastboot commands ?
If you want to flash a new rom you also have to do a full wipe on recovery.
Now its messed up maybe
Flash the boot.img from the desired ics rom and do a full wipe in recovery and then flash the rom
Either because you didn't do a full wipe or you didn't flash the boot.img......so try doing both of these

Yes I did flash boot.img with fastboot commands, then flashed CWM Recovery by ADB, then flashed the ROM but NO LUCK yet
I really don't know what people are doing to their hoxes
It's not that hard. Make sure you do a full wipe and start from scratch. If you do a full wipe and flash the boot.img and then the rom a bootloop is for 99% out of the question !

I have done a full wipe, wiped cache partition, format system, format sdcard (mass storage) wipe dalvik cache.
What should I do now please suggest me. I am in deep trouble!

I will do this now, but what about no signal, imei & baseband "unknown"
A last resort is a RUU
Put the phone in fastboot mode and do the next commands
fastboot getvar version-main
This will say the build number (2.17.****
Fastboot OEM readcid
This will give your cid code.
The combination is important for the ruu.
Can you post them here.
Why the hell did you format the sd card ?you had your nandroid backup and the Rom in it ..
Dude if you don't know what your doing then why are you playing with your device ...start from the beginning
Go to fastboot >flash kernel
Go to recovery>mount SD CARD and put the Rom in it >do a wipe for data/cache and dalvik cache only!!!
Then go to install zip from sd card
And install the Rom

I extracted boot image from Revolution HD ROM (ICS), booted with fastboot, then flashed the ROM. And It's good to go now!
Thanks a lot friends, You guys helped me enriching my knowledge about flashing ROMs.

Hello,
I have recently bought a second-hand HTC One X. When i bought the HOX it was rooted running the viper x 2.0.0 rom. I decided to change the rom to cyanogen 10 nightly. It was working fine but then i decided to install slim bean 3.0.0 and this was working fine too (this is what i have on my HOX right now). What i would like to do is install viper x 2.0.0 again or another sense-based rom. However i tried doing this and it does not boot. When i install it, it just loads the htc logo and then reboots again back into clockworkmod recovery?
I have tried various sense-based roms and none of then work? Also i know viper x 2.0.0 works because it was on there when i bought it.
Please can someone give me instuctions on how to do it.
Thanks in advance
P.S When i try to install the viper x or other sense-based rom i flash the boot.img using 'fastboot flash boot boot.img'
I have just fixed it i installed the latest version and worked the one i was installing must have been a ota update? anyway if u are stuck like me read this
after flashing the boot.img try "fastboot erase cache" it should work
erase cache always

Yes, i know this because i use winrar to extract the boot.img from the viperx.zip
What do u think i should do to make it work?
I was thinking do i need to flash a kernel that works for the viperx to work or does the viperx.zip already have a kernel inside the file?
At the moment i have : 2.6.39.4-cyanogenmod because i have slimbean installed which is based on cm10

The only thing i can think of is a bad download .....
If you flashed the kernel in fastboot, did a full wipe (superwipe script) and flash the rom it should boot ... It's just as simple as that !
And I don't see a modified boot.img in the OP of the blade rom either so that's not it !
I would gladly test it on my hox with 1.36 hboot but I can't until tomorrow in the evening .a

when you said you still can boot into viperx, you reflash the viperx ROM or just a reboot after failed attempt to boot Blade, it boots to viperx ?
Edit: It is either you use the superwipe script provided by MarcelHofs to really make a full wipe
or on your previous step that you mentioned:
1)flash boot .img
2)wipe date/factory reset
3)Wipe cache
4)wipe davlik cache
** format system <---- do this too
5)install zip from sd card
6)then reboot...
7)then stuch on htc logo on boot? it should boot

I think there is no need for you to waste your time to test the ROM. If he run your superwipe script, it should boot.

3. clear dalvik and erase cache
4. flash ROM

Hi, I successfully Rooted my phone, made a backup with CWM and I installed TWRP, made a backup, and then flashed CleanROM, but somehow, the same ROM appeared, so I checked the forums and I flashed "fastboot boot boot.img", and then the bootloop started,
I tried many thing, read the Q&A, tried to restore my backups but nothing, I have CleanROM 6 R2.zip on my phone, have CWM and TWRP, I can switch between these 2 recovery apps, tried to cleach cache, wipe etc.. but didnt work,
Please someone help to solve this problem with the CleanROM or the stock ROM
Thanks, and sorry for my bad english.

I can tell you how to install it.

2: enter the recovery and mount the sdcard as a usb mass storage device (cwm has it under mounts and storage)
3: copy the rom.zip to the sdcard and unmount
4: perform a full wipe

This ROM will be okay?
I will inform you after the process, I hope i can fix it.
Very fine rom indeed, but what is your hboot ? If its a JB one i would go for the 3.4 JB version of the viper X
If you have a hboot that is higher then 1.28 install this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2087443
Download the full 3.4.0 rom ! NOT the 3.4.3......that one does not boot up.

You don't need a ruu, just install cm10.1 if you like

i think he still in the rooting process.
You don't need to root a custom rom. That's already done......you can't root a phone only its software !
He's unlocked, and he has a custom recovery.

I assume you have a JB hboot ? Higher than 1.31 ?
Flash the cm10.1 boot.img (located in the Rom.zip)
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Enter the recovery and perform a full wipe
* factory reset
* wipe cache partition
* wipe dalvik cache
* format cache, system, data
Then install the cm10.1 rom.zip and install the gapps (Google apps) zip.
Reboot and done.
