Hi, I've some basic experience regarding rooting and flashing of roms but I have some enquiry before I start flashing on my up and coming nexus 7.
So here are the steps to proceed on:
1st unlock the boot loader using fastboot oem unlock
2nd flashing a custom recovery using fastboot flash recover recovery.img
3rd just do a full wipe and install my downloaded rom and gapps
And I'm done with the steps for flashing on the N7 2013 edition right?

toolkits are nice because they make it easier indeed, whereas they should not replace the knowledge of manually doing it for the case of emergencies should you mess it up.
I rooted p607t after I failed to read it would kill my spen then I reverted to stock still no spen.

How did you revert to stock? using odin and full factory firmware? If you root with towelroot Spen should works, if you use other method (cfroot etc..) Spen will not works. Also did you flash twrp recovery also? if yes what version?
Odin 3.09 and full stock from sammobile. (highlighted in the picture) I don't use it much but still it's driving me nuts.

The link is dead.
What twrp recovery are you using ?
Ok so how is this flashed ?
As an update on root of internal storage?
Also do you have a link to download that rom ?

I assumed that you're on stock rom. First use towelroot to root your device, verify you have root, then use Odin to flash the recovery zip. Boot up and check to see if spen is working, if not, then proceed to the dial number to update the Wacom driver for Spen.

adb.exe is used when device is running a rom, or with a custom recovery.
Fastboot.exe is used with bootloader/fastboot mode.
the Kindle must be rooted first, unless you have a fastboot cable.

They're just firmware variants. It doesn't really matter which one you pick. But do notice that for the 4.6.6 update you'll need to download the 820 variant image, as it's the only one available.
When you find the one you have, just flash it from Safestrap (don't ever try to use the FireOS recovery, these flashable images work with Safestrap only).
