adb.exe is used when device is running a rom, or with a custom recovery.
Fastboot.exe is used with bootloader/fastboot mode.

Hello everyone,
I have spent the last 7 hours trying to unroot my LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition, but nothing I have tried works. The method I tried was to flash toe stock boot, recovery, and system via the Windows command line. Now, my tablet gets stuck at the "Google" logo when I try to boot it, and I get the red exclamation error when I try to boot into recovery. Does anyone have any first had experience unrooting the GPE G Pad, and can my tablet be salvaged or do I need to buy a new one?

Yes, you can at least salvage your tablet. Download latest twrp recovery, and install it in download mode. Then download the 510 ROM from the developer section onto an sdcard, insert sdcard into tablet, mount in recovery, install the ROM. You can then try again if you wish. Make changes one at a time, slowly!
There may be a different way, but this seems the easiest to me.
Why did you want to unroot?

Thank you for the tip, I'll give that a try now. And I rooted to try to install Cyanogen, but the milestone releases kept giving me the "process com.android.phone has stopped" and the nightlies couldn't connect to my Wifi.

You can't install cyanogen mod on the gpe. There are no custom Roms other than the modified stock ROM for the 510.
Let's start from the beginning... Did you install twrp 2.7.0.1? And can you boot into recovery?
Then, did you take out your sdcard and install the modified 510 ROM onto the sdcard from your computer?
Then reinstalled your sdcard to your tablet, rebooted to recovery again, mounted your sdcard, and then flashed the modified 510 ROM?

I don't know if you realize this, but the sideload update is 100% stock. Exactly the same thing you'll get with the OTA. Just a different delivery method.

Flash the 4.4.4 update via twrp. I don't know any other way. If you don't want to do that, then post your question on the V510 update thread in the general section.
Just a simple question:
Is there any way to get back from CM 10.1
and TWRP 2.7.0.1 back to stock recovery and 907 ?

The easiest way is to install a version whom you can instal from your computer to your phone it reinstals also the original bootloader. After that do a online update and install the latest official ROM. The easiest way.
Install mate toolbox on your PC, then run it and install original recovery. Once you do this you just need to create a folder on your SD card called dload and you can put the update file of your choice in it and just boot into recovery. The update will automatically run

Thanks for the fast response, but both won't work with mine and on my dad neither.
I know the methods but i can't explain why it won't work so if you can switch back to stock with the mate tool box i will work in that way with a fresh Windows ^^
Thanks anyways

If you are up to working with linux, you can extract the files from the toolbox and then use adb/fastboot to put stuff back.

Then flash stock recovery img whit fastboot...
Hey everyone! This is my first post to XDA forums EVER, and I need a lot of help since I'm a newbie to how Android flashing works, so go easy on me
So as the title suggests, I want to flash my Asus Zenfone 2 with the stock rom. My current build number is: LRX21V.WW-ASUS_Z00A-2.20.40.97_20150917_1572_user044030427_201501060109
The reason I want to flash the stock rom again is because I removed some of the bloatware from my phone (such as BBL actors for omlet) and other crap, but some of it won't let me reinstall, and because of me removing some of the bloatware crap, I can't use some features on my phone. I've tried flashing supposed stock roms before for my phone from a windows CMD prompt, but they failed to write (for whatever reason?).
I'm rooted with some 1-tap windows cmd prompt thing, have a locked bootloader (thats the thing to install custom roms, right?) and the stock recovery (tried using the TWP app to flash the TWP recovery, but it didn't seem to work, and would just leave the normal recovery?)
I've come here for the intelligent minds to help me out! Please help lol

You can't flash asus firmware with cwm.
You can unbrick with adb sideload.
See THIS GUIDE how to sideload
I am done here, if you choose to follow advice to try using temp cwm to fix your phone I am sure you fail, your best solution is to use bootloader to flash, everything you need is in this thread, if you choose not to do the proper research before you start flashing things without doing the proper research before then you are beyond help here.

Make sure you have turned on adb mode in your phone and you have authorized the computer for accessing adb and fast boot.
Or may be you didn't go to fastboot mode of your phone.
You need to press and hold volume up+power button until your phone reboots. Then only you can access fastboot.
I have unlocked the bootloader, then I activated debug mode. i press and hold volume up+power button and i entered in fastboot mode.
. i installed adb driver and program. I opened cmd and I wrote :
cd..
cd adb
adb devices
fastboot flash recovery (name recovery).img
when the writing appears "waiting for devices" does not continue with installation

For that you now need to use zenfone flash tool coz you didnt make a back up of your recovery.
For that you needed to first use this cmd.
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
This would run twrp temporarily and you could make a backup of your stock recovery. Then to permanently install stock recovery you needed to do the same you did.
Now, except using zenfone flash tool you can only ask a friend if he can give u the stock recovery if he has unlocked bootloader and didnt install twrp..

If you want to flash the stock rom I suggest you do it with adb sideload because I noticed that if you flash with stock recovery with "upgrade from sd card" ,when the phone is rebooted it is very slow.
