Hello guys,
Anyone know how to get enable the top bar of actions on the JB keyboard that we had on the ICS keyboard.
It's tough to describe, but I mean the top bar that had the explanation mark, question mark, comma, etc...
See pic
Left is ICS with extra buttons on top of keyboard, and right is JB without.

it also didnt work for me. i recently changed rom. in cm10, keyboard suggestion bar doesnt show, i think if you want a working suggestion/correction bar, then change rom. i am currently on xperia ice v3.1 stable version. keyboard correction/suggestion bar works. ^_^ i think since jellybean port isn't that stable like ics port, there might be some bugs to fix like that one. in the end, you have no choice but to change rom.

It is working. See the screenshot. Both the stock android or the AOSP android keyboard working.
You have to type first before the suggestions show up. Try to turn on the show suggestions and type a few words and it will show it.

hold down the Mic button on the keyboard and release it on the settings button, choose Android keyboard settings.
the options you seek are there.
What`s MIC button? Can you post me a screenshot. This thing is driving me insane
bump bump
The mic button should be beside the spacebar.

Alternatively you can go to Settings -> Language & input -> Android Keyboard Settings -> Auto-correction -> Off

Press and hold the comma button, you can change it to the mic I believe, you can also access the settings from there.

Is anyone else also annoyed that Google still thinks "ill" is more commonly typed than "I'll"? There's no easy way to type "I'll" except to type "ill" and choose "I'll" from the suggestion bar.
It's baffling. Typing "il" also does not auto correct to "I'll."

Totally see where you're coming from if this was gingerbread but on ICS it works like it should, i.e. Il is I'll.. at least for me, guess you've tried pressing the auto correct button for I'll, it doesn't remember it?

I had the same problem, I disabled auto correction but it did nothing, so I believe you will need to change the space bar behavior. In the settings where you turned off auto correction there is an option which defines space bar behavior, change it to "always insert space" instead of auto correction

So I was watching this great video on youtube and I noticed at around 3:06 the guy brings up a "recent apps" menu by pressing ctrl+tab (cmd+tab) on his keyboard. Frankly I prefer this simple interface to the one that you usually get when you use the multitasking button.
Does anyone know to bring this up without using a hardware keyboard?

That's the old version of the multitasking menu from 2.x versions where you long pressed home. I believe some custom ROMs offer this option instead of the 4.x style of multitasking.

Couldn't tell you (I've not even rooted yet), but I remember for my other devices with ICS ROMs, it offered either the recent apps from 2.x or the original multitasking 4.x version.
Hopefully someone else can chime in.

I'm giving this a bump in case someone knows the solution
This recent apps style is still present in ICS, it's just not the default. When some people over in the Nexus S forum were trying to reassign the hard search key to make it trigger recent apps in ICS, they were successful but their recent apps looked like the pic above (they have since fixed this "problem"). If you could find the command that triggers the above style of recent apps, you could reassign our recent apps button to it. Hope this helps.

Im including 2 .zips, one will enable the soft keys, the other will restore to default. Nothing special, I myself dont like the idea of the soft keys, but some of you may want to play around with it. If there are any issues please inform me, thanks and enjoy.

Sorry I changed my theme before I took a screen shot. But this will keep the stock look, sorry again for the confusion if any caused by this pic.

I am using 4.4.2 and I can not find comma key at here. It used to be here with 4.3. Does anyone has same problem with me? Is there any solution for this? My device was rooted. I want to keep samsung keyboard app 4.0 at this firmware and dont use another keyboard app. Maybe just modify some config file...?

Yes I know this but these methods make me to press 2 keys to get the comma and 1 more key to turn off the popup, so it is not convenient to use. By the old way on 4.3 or 4.1 I just press 1 key to get the comma at the left of space bar.

Install the S5 keyboard and you will have comma and other punctuation back to your bottom left key!
Check Nitol's thread in themes and apps forum.

Wrong, none of the samsung 4.4.2 keyboards have that feature, one has to press an extra key no matter what to use the comma.
S5 KEYBOARD screenshot
I can guarantee that I am using it... install it and you will see for yourself! If you don't like the new look you can always revert to stock.
if you press the dot key you'll have the " . , ?" in suggested words area....

You are right ,my apologies ,I somehow never noticed there was a comma along with other shorcuts on the bottom left key that one could set according to their choice be it Voice typing, smileys, comma etc.Thank you
Today I tried to use s5 mod keyboard but it forced close. I reflashed stock keyboards but it was the same problem. So I reflashed my stock 4.4.2 firmware and restored Samsung keyboard app from Titanium Backup and my comma is restored too. But this comma is just temporary because if I change comma to another key then comma will be gone forever.

I am using SwiftKey on the Note 7 and each time I change the Power Savings the keyboard resizes it gets really big or small. Rebooting helps but I wish I didnt have to. Does anyone know what is the Issue and what can be done? - - thanks in advance!
Is it because the power saving mode also changes the resolution and SwiftKey hasn't compensated for the change?

Hi, good point. When I have Power Saving (MID) Mode on, the font content in chrome looks larger and the keyboard looks fine. When I turn off Power Savings., the font content looks normal but the keyboard shrinks. However I have also sent the keyboard enlarge so as you can't see all the keys.
Don't need to reboot. I just switch keyboards in the notification pull down then switch back to SwiftKey and it fixes it. Not a fix but faster then a reboot

Should look like this. Click on "select keyboard" and choose a different keyboard. Then do it again and click SwiftKey.
